This is a great video! I too do love my e-mark create. Watching this though reminded me that I no longer can find my set up sheet with the SSID. I sure hope I don't need it again. I hope they get another distributer in the US.
My husband and son bought this for me as my birthday present - what a great gadget! This tutorial is really helpful - especially with the tips about which materials it works best on. It is an inkjet so there will be some bleeding/blurring on some mediums. With Christmas on the horizon looking forward to playing with this and making personalised ribbon for gifts. Great for sentiments in cards negating the need to stamp them all.

Excellent overview. I just purchased one and if it weren't for your tutorial I would have sent it back. The online help is atrocious and the app is terrible. Nevermind trying to use the app on your IPhone. The IPad is your only hope with this app. This is one of those products that is going to be absolutely fantastic if the company continues to advance the technology and lowers the price. You answered most of the questions I had to get me going. Thank you.

Very thorough tutorial. It was really helpful. It will be nice when we can finally order ink cartridges and the accessories here in the states. I ordered my e-mark printer later on the HSN craft day, and they had already sold out of the ink cartridges and the ribbon guides. I wrote to We R Memory Keepers, and they said unfortunately right now these items are exclusive to HSN. I added a request on my HSN account to notify me when these items are back in stock. Thanks again for your great tutorial.
I also would like to get the 10mm ribbon guide which only seems to be on HSN in a package with the others and is sold out too! I have it also in my favorites to be notified if it comes back in stock. @@KalansKrafting Hello again: Another helpful tool would be some sort of guide (other than a thick ruler that I'm using) to run the printer along to keep lines straight. I've got my thinking cap on though. I've got to have something among all my craft stuff that might work. I'm finding that my lines are a little wonky without aid from a straight edge. Just my two cents worth. Thanks again for your help.
I am right there with you. I have a Cricut ruler that has a rubber bottom and a raised side that worked pretty well for me.

Finally!! A very detailed video THANK YOU!! My husband purchased this Colop e-mark Create from HSN last month when they did their "craft day", i was very disappointed in the lack of instructions for this little guy!!! I am figuring it out by bits & pieces from what I can find here on You Tube, but still can not download the extra templates that came with the extra cartridge. I have a RCA tablet and when I get into the memory keepers e-markcreate site it wants a password and then under that it ask for username and password (again), am I entering the same password again??? then I thought maybe I need to register on the memory keepers web site but I didn't see you do that in the tutorial. Hopefully you can help?!?! Thanks for explaining so much in your video already :)
Hello! Since I did not get my machine from HSN I did not get the extra images. But from what I understand there is supposed to be a slip in the shipping box, not the actual packaging box, that contains the login and password information to get those templates. There is a group on Facebook that you can search for that I believe is run by We R Memory keepers and they address some of those questions. I was a member and then I posted this video in there to help people but for some reason they kicked me out LOL. But I do know that there were instructions in there on how to get those images. to get straight line use a straight edge - like a thick wood ruler - as a bottom glide/guide for the printer.
I was able to pick mine up at MEH at a great price. I spent some extra money on accessories at Amazon. Overall, I'm not thrilled. I have ongoing problems with the ink cartridge. I find I have to shake it in between uses. For me, your tutorial was a beacon of hope that with more practice, I MIGHT enjoy this printer after a while. Thank you.
I do know they are working on the app and I will be testing for them soon. My cartridge is also giving me issues. I am still hopeful as the technology improves. Thanks so much for watching!!

Very helpful video. Thanks. If you speak again with the manufacturer, another feature that would be appreciated: the ability to flip an image. For example, the two bees in a template are both heading in the same direction. I would like to be able to flip the second bee to face the first bee. Hope I’m explaining this correctly. The rotation feature does *not* flip the image inside out. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for watching and I completely agree and looked for that feature myself. There's a lot of image editing features that I would like to see added. When I did speak to them they said that they just recommend doing that in a photo editing software and then importing it. But hopefully they'll see these comments and see that I'm not the only one that requested such features 😊

Hi. I saw a "mirror imprint" option in "imprint settings". Is this what you are looking for? I haven't tried this feature yet though.
@@donnatoledo1976 Oh I think I saw that too. I think that will only mirror the entire design and not just a specific imagine but not quite sure and need to investigate.
The HP 62XL looks like it may work. Its used in Pekoko K1 Portable Mobile Color Printer, Mbrush printcube, Printbrush Printer

I have the colop e mark that I purchased on HSN. At the time I ordered it they were out of the ribbon guide and the ruler. I was wondering if I could use the accessories from the print maker or where can I purchase these items. This video was very helpful.

Thanks for the video. I have a question how do you size the mages to fit the ribbon size.
I have struggled with sizing as well. You just have to use the slider bar to size your image as large as you can as long as it stays within the parameters of the line box. It's definitely a lot of trial and error.

Love your tutorial on the colop but I’m having trouble importing the free templates
Those free templates are offered by we are memory keepers. Unfortunately I don't have those either. There is a Facebook group that you can search for and that has the instructions in it on how to download those.

I have a problem: in the app i give id, pass and click connect. Get pop-up connect? I connect, device gives blue but app still says trying to connect.

I have been looking everywhere for the ribbon guide, labels and printable ribbon to purchase in the US and can't find it. Do you know where you can buy it?
Unfortunately,I do not. I saw they were sold out on HSN and hope they come back in stock. I want the 10mm one.
I have the app on my android phone and I pad how can I get the stuff I make to be on both
I am afraid that it appears that the designs only save locally. I do not believe that they save to a cloud to be used on multiple devices. I also would like this to be a future enhancement.
Does this work well for flat black plastic surfaces?
It would definitely not work on anything black because you won't see the ink. Also I do not believe that plastic is going to be porous enough to except the ink and fear it will just smear. I do not recommend using on plastic.

The e-mark connects with my phone, image has been added to print but it doesn't print? Any idea what i am doing wrong?
In fortunately, It is hard for me to know with out seeing what you are doing.
How hard would this be to use for a planner? My concern is knowing where it will print? Like I have a calendar - and I want to write text on a specific box - could I do this with this?
Yes, it would work but it does take quite a bit of practice to learn how to line it up.

I think you meant bigger. There is limited size. You Definitely CANNOT make it 1" bigger.
My marker is reasonably new as I've only used it once a year ago and now I can't get it to work. I can create and do things but it won't print out anything. It looks like where the ink comes out is below the level of the base of the unit and perhaps that's why it won't print. Do you have any suggestions, I've taken everything apart and started again. Many thanks
Could your ink cartridges perhaps have dried up? That happened to me once as well. Try running a wet paper towel across it.

NO! that would smear for sure.
Would it stick to plastic if we spray maybe some clear coat on top?
Can I refill the cartridges with just ink instead of buy new ones when the ink finishes?
I do not know that answer. I know I've taken other HP cartridges to Costco to use their refill program. I guess you would have to check with such a program that offers ink refills.

I would buy it and almost did the day it premiered. I can definitely be a bit impulsive and made a conscious choice to try to learn more about it before hand. And then I was fortunate enough to be sent the sample.I do recognize it is a premium price point and not affordable for many people. I also believe that it will be improved over time just like any new electronic product that comes out. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve and I understand the frustrations of the people who reviewed it on HSN. Lining it up and getting straight prints in my opinion is the hardest part and I'm hoping that some improvements will be made in that area as well as fixing some of the issues with the app. I definitely support the idea of waiting to see if improved versions come out. I love your thought of by Christmas :-) I see a lot of potential with this little machine.

Second thanks so much for your reply and a quick reply. $300 is a moderate price point and my daughter already gave me the $ to get it for a bday/Christmas present but after watching your review and the hsn reviews I am holding off and waiting for an improved next version. Is the ink water based or solvent based?
Well it is the same ink that is used in inkjet printers. I honestly don't know if that is water based or not.

Chances are that your WiFi was disconnected cuz it was connected to the machine.
I don't know how to go find them
There is a link at the bottom of the new imprint page that you touch that says "more template online"
Does this print UPC-A barcodes?
I believe it does. There is a professional version as well.
@@KalansKrafting From what I read, the e-mark create does not do the bar code stuff, but the professional e-mark does. If you go to the Colop website they have a comparison chart of the two.

carriages appear to cost $43 each (ouch). MEH sold these E-mark printers for $79 but they sold out fast.
I panic bought one when they were in stock on meh, so now I'm hoping it actually works out for me 😂
The cartridge looks like an older model HP ink cartridge so I'm going to try getting creative.

@@penelopelane9631 I do not have a video for it but the easiest way is to make sure you have your logo in your photos on your device. Then tap on "New Imprint". Next tap on how many lines you want your imprint to be at the top. Finally, select "Photo" and chose your logo from your photo album. Viola!
