ND has a habit of allowing first possession scores, learning tendencies, and then putting the clamps on for the rest of the game. Army will be ready but it shouldn’t matter. ND covers spread easy
Everyone had tried to do NIU...everyone is forgetting riley was hurt coming in missing important practices to injury in game 2...they are 2 different teams...notre dame is use the triple option l
Anyone else notice every preview for this game is hosts just talking about Army the entire time & what they need to do, and almost trying to coach them up & wanting Army to win so bad. No one talks about ND’s Defense bring either #1 or #2 in Efficiency Rankings & ND winning by over 30ppg. Everyone is searching for ways to get their hopes up for Army. How about a little ND talk?
It doesn’t even matter everyone that wants or thinks army is gonna win are the same people that are gonna say “well it’s army” and give ND 0 credit for being a good football team
Exactly they hype them up. Then Notre Dame blows them out. Then all they will say is army didn't play anyone, and it's no big deal. They're just like navy undefeated before they play ND. It should be over by halftime.
Army is vastly out weighed and out sized on each side of the line. Army will not be able to run on ND. ND forces turnovers and can run the ball at will. ND does not turn over the ball often. Army hasn't played a single team above 500 this season. Army has not faced an offense or defense on the level of ND. Against a smaller team like Navy, ND ran for almost 4 yards before they were touched. The defense averages 12 points allowed per game and this is against better teams than Army. Fun Fact.... going back to 2010... ND has NEVER lost a Shamrock Series game. This is going to be ugly. This game ends ND wins 52-10.
I know it's mind-boggling to me people are giving Army such a shot at this. Just like you said they haven't played anybody. It should be over by halftime.
Just to be clear... the Army QB everyone is glazing was 1/2 for 15 yds and a pick last week? Against North Texas? Who they put up a whopping 14 points on? OK, yeah Can we stop with all this prognostication?
I've got Army pulling off the upset. I think Army is going to do exactly what Vanderbilt did to Alabama. Vandy studied the Georgia-Bama film, learned from Georgia's mistakes, and then stunned Alabama by getting on the board first and controlled the tempo from there. You better believe Army is studying the film from Navy's loss to Notre Dame and is going to learn from their mistakes. If Army draws first blood, Notre Dame's going to struggle to get into it, and that's what I think will happen.
In addition to advanced film study, Army would also need ND to have just played an emotionally taxing and draining game the previous week. Did ND skirt by UVA in the final minutes of the game? No. Can Army still win the game, yes.
They're playing in Yankee Stadium to honor the 100th anniversary of the classic Army vs ND game of the century
@@sydIRISH the game in Yankee stadium is part of Notre Dame Shamrock series
@@MaymeBlue-tz8qw Yes, and this is the 100th anniversary of the four horsemen in yankee stadium

Anyone who thinks Army can look at NIU film and beat Notre Dame it's a different Notre Dame team than the one who lost to NIU
yes, they are much more overconfident and still fully prepared to lose horribly in hte playoffs against real college teams

It should be just like the Navy game. Navy was undefeated before they played Notre Dame as well.
Enjoy your purgatory
This is gonna be physical...army has played nobody scoring 14 on one of the worst fbs schools
Chumps talking

Absolutely true 😂
ND can beat army and still not be a good football team.
@ maybe if they win by some stupid call but they’re not Notre dame is solid
Army has not played a real opponent on their resume

If you feel this way, you should sign up for a gambling site and put a moneyline down on Army. You could probably get 2 to 1 odds for an Army win!
This is not close to Vandy - Bama
Army needs to be more than perfect to even have a chance
Big mistake. I heard the same about Navy, and look what happened.
@@DCSk8er529 agreed, i just feel that someone who espouses such buffoonery should lose money. They deserve it.
GO ARMY. BEAT NOTRE DAME
