basic funny, country jokes didn't work
Anti-food allergy and anti-celiac‘s disease jokes are so stupid and hackey and ignorant. At least a dozen other comedians have already done those jokes starting 15 years ago. I love comedy but I lose respect for the comedian if he or she stoops so low as to mock innocent people who have a rough disease that they do not want to have. Besides the physical disease, they have to deal with being shunned and mocked by numerous ignorant people using the dumb type of thinking that this comedian advocates. I am fine with comedians being politically incorrect and, especially when it is true and or pushes society in a direction that it needs to go or challenges people in constructive ways. But this comedian is just being flat out cruel to a tiny percentage of humans who have a medical condition that is life-threatening and makes their life a nightmare and who would prefer to not have that condition.
By the way, people had these types of allergies 40 years ago but a portion of them did not realize they had the allergies And just suffered without knowing what was taking place. Others of them knew they had the allergies but society was stupider and didn’t care and wasn’t open to taking various measures to protect them because it would require more effort by administrators, teachers etc. and because it would inconvenience the majority of students.
At the same time, it appears to be true that the rates of dangerous allergies are increasing, but it is not because kids today are not tough enough. While it may be true that kids today are not as tough as 40 years ago, it is dumb and ignorant to convey that it results in life-threatening medical conditions.
