Will the fray at the bottom keep getting worse every time you wash them? I have very short legs and I want to do this but I don’t want to ruin the jeans if I wash them and create constant fraying like how cut offs do
I know bruh I bought sum jeans and they was already like that. I’m mad but I kinda like the look but at the same time the fabric Keeps falling and they are getting shorter and shorter
I’m not sure if it would be invisible or not, but you could try using fray check, permanent fabric glue, or doing a tiny stitch above the fray with matching thread color to help keep it from continuing to fray too much. **I would do a test swatch with the glues on the inside inseam, close to the bottom of the pant leg, and see if it dries down a darker color or not.**
We used to call them self-hemming pants - you wore off the bottom walking on the street (usually bare foot - it was the 70s) and had a frayed look. But tge perfect length :)
I really suggest you measure the intended hemline on each leg and measure and cut each leg seperately. Fold and pin each leg, try on, and repin if necessary. With the thick folded seams at the legs and crotch, the legs often aren't identical. You might have noticed that the first pair of pants actually has slightly different lengths of each leg, very small, but noticable. You might not care, depending on the pants, but then again, you might.
Thank you so much this is actually so so helpful ! I have had these jeans that were way too long for awhile now but I tried this on them and now they fit and look amazing !! 10/10 would recommend !
“How to cut a pair a of pants with scissors”
😂😂😂😂
If you cut your pants but don’t see it back up, your pants will eventually fall apart

Yes it will

Yes , but if they get so short it’s looking like a weird length then turn them In to booty shorts lll

Is it possible to cut jeans that are stretched?
Indeed it is! Any pair of denim can be cut 🥰
You are just cutting them, not hemming.
I however do this but i also sew a line all across the bottom so the jeans doesnt get ruined
Wish I saw this before , I ruin my jeans 😅
This is a raw edge not a hem
Huuuu
Its only cutting not hemming
ohmygosh! I wish I saw this before cutting my jeans 😭 but thank you, this is really helpful!!! 😊
Title is how to hem pants, but the video doesn’t show that
Hi! We wanted to provide an informative how-to if you're looking to hem denim for a raw, edgy look!
But….that’s not what hemming is miss ma’am……color me puzzled
Well you know what clickbait is

My thoughts exactly

I tried this and used cooking scissors and cutted as straight as possible worked fine for me 😅.

We are so glad to hear this was helpful!
My mom bought me cargo pants and it was too long for me but my cargo pants were different it had a tie on both ankles of the hem
I cut my new jeans after watching this 😢
Nice❤
Is there a way to do it without fabric scissors and just regular scissors?
Yea you just cut it
Before looked better. Also, wayyy to short
just undo the stitching, looks much more authentic imo
Misleading asf
Pretty sure this is the step before hemming, but cool?
before is better
Chic?… 😢
can i do this with jncos?
Wtf? That's just going to keep unraveling.
It's great 👍
Loved it
Thank you! We're so glad this was helpful
can I use a rusty saw I found in my garage?
We hear you! We recommend sizing up so the skirt fits in your hips and then adding a belt to accommodate the extra space in the waist 😊
I didn't need this video to show me how to do this seriously 🙈. Jeans ruined well done!
