Settai (transl. Mischief) is a 2004 Indian Tamil language comedy film directed by Shivan. The film features Pandiarajan, Livingston and Vindhya in lead roles, with Vinu Chakravarthy, Ganthimathi, Balu Anand, Priyanka Shailu, Bayilvan Ranganathan, Sempuli Jagan, Kovai Senthil, Vellai Subbaiah, Chelladurai and Suryakanth playing supporting roles. The film, produced by P. G. Balaji and T. Kavidasan, had musical score by German Vijay and was released on 14 May 2004.
Plot
The brothers Chinnasamy (Pandiarajan) and Periyasamy (J. Livingston) live with their grandparents (Vinu Chakravarthy and Ganthimathi) in a remote village. Chinnasamy and Periyasamy have one habit that annoyed the villagers: they can only tell the truth thus exposing some controversial matters. Meanwhile, they both fall in love with the Malayali girl Sundari (Vindhya), the daughter of the ghatam vidwan Nair (Balu Anand). Because of Chinnasamy and Periyasamy's mischief, the local politicians decide to cut off electricity and water to their village, therefore, the villagers force them to leave the village. The brothers decide to move to Chennai.
