I have seven children, ages 27-8. My 21 year old daughter just disowned me today because of my Christian beliefs. She’s caught up in the LGBTQ lifestyle. Despite much practical love and treating her with respect, it’s not enough for her. If I can’t applaud her lifestyle I have no love in me. Today she shut the door on me completely. I feel like I’ve suffered a martyrdom today. Please pray for me.

Communist soldiers had entered a village and ordered the people out of their homes as they confiscated items of value from therein. Bibles and Holy Icons were removed and burned in the street. The people were lined up outside and examined for any valuables. A guard came across an elderly woman wearing a Crucifix. He ripped the Crucifix from her neck and threw it into the fire. She looked at him and said, "You can take that away from me, but you will never take this away from me." as she made the Sign of the Cross. The soldier struck her with the butt of his rifle. This account of suffering and courage stuns and humbles me today just as it did fifty years ago when I heard it.

Finally got my patron saint, my name is Zack and iv been a confessional Christian for a year now, i only heard about the Orthodox Church around October and I'm currently attending a parish and I'm going to become a catechumen and hope to be baptised soon, but for the last year I feel as if iv only been a Christian by name, I may have faith in Christ and I hope to be saved, but my works are dead and faith without works is dead, and yeah I could do better and when I do try and be a better Christian it never feels enough, because Saint Ignatius of Antioch said on his way to Rome that he was going to be martyred "so that he could be called a Christian" and my problem is I obsess with Theology and ideas and principles but have not room for those around me who need help, saint Ignatius reminded me that to be a true Christian requires alot, if he thought he needed to be martyred to be called a Christian then I wonder if I even am one sometimes, I care so much about doctrine and winning debates that I wonder whether I'm trying to convert people for Christs glory or my own glory, and as I was pondering this a post on my Instagram came up quoting Saint Ignatius of Antioch, and it says "Christianity is not about convincing people of certain ideas, but it is about inviting people to take part in the glory of Christ" -Saint Ignatius of Antioch, he was later martyred in Rome and he was eaten by lions just as Spyridon mentions, and since Ignatius said this about how we shouldnt be mainly convincing people of ideas but inviting them to Christ, it really struck me hard because that's what iv been failing to do this entire time, invite people to Christ.. I'm more interested in convincing people that I'm right about a certain subject, and yes u need to be able to get people to believe the religion first for them to convert but I go overboard alot of the time, I should just be able to say "Believe on the lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved", but instead I go on a rant about philosophy of which I know very little, since it struck me really hard iv decided my baptism name shall be Ignatius, thank u St Ignatius, please pray for me and all of us☦️☦️☦️

Today is Saint Charalambos According to the synaxarists, Charalambos was born and lived in Magnesia, Asia Minor, during the reign of Emperor Septimius Severus (192-211). When the Roman emperor unleashed relentless persecution against the Christians, Charalambos, who was then a priest, was arrested by order of the prefect Lucian.
Lucian himself subjected him to horrific torture to deny his faith. When Charalambos openly proclaimed his faith, Lucianus tried to wound his body with his sword. But, miraculously, the hand with which he held the sword was cut off and hung on Charalambos's body. Then the Saint prayed and Lucianus's hand was glued to his body.
Seeing this miracle, many of those present believed in the true God, among them the executioners Baptos and Porphyrios, who celebrate with Saint Charalambos on February 10. Humiliated, Lucianos ordered the beheading of Charalambos, after first sending him through the city.

OUR LORD SEES THIS AND HE IS HAVING THEM EXPOSE THEMSELVES. THE FLOCK STAND FAST FOR OUR LORD WHO IS THE TRUE SHEPHERD WILLING TO LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR THE FLOCK.

Romans 12:1, I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God which is your spiritual service! And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds that you may be able to prove what is the good, well pleasing, and perfect will of God. Shalom

I am a nearly returning Catholic. I am asking why our priests didn't martyr themselves. As foretold by the saints, the Catholic Church has been captured by satan. The mass has been modified to be a pagan ceremony, and those that go are clueless.

I was trying to get this across to a certain orthodox monk who was an extreme pacifist. You may not ever fight, or ever carry a gun. But don't you ever dare disparage those who fought and died to free you from those who would kill you for sport. Evil tyranny never stops because they just had a change of heart. They were toppled by good guys...with force, through violence. Be free to be martyred, but don't hate those who fight to stop the bloodshed. Freedom is paid for by the blood of soldiers and ordinary people who said No. Pray for those who fight for your freedom.

      Might isn’t right
      Right is right
The cycle will continue if you try and pay it back.
Not everyone is called to a violent martyrs death. But those in clergy certainly have a duty to be martyrs in whichever way.

DO NOT FEAR GOING INTO THE LIGHT. The love that will overwhelm you has no earthly words to describe it other than AGAPE. 100% of all earthly thoughts will dissolve behind you. Some 365 times in scripture are the verses of FEAR NOT. Jesus is Lord.

Thank you for the message Father. I have some fear but I don’t understand why. A month ago I would’ve gladly died for Christ but not I think there is hesitancy and now I find myself instead of preparing for death, I pray for others instead and that evil might be destroyed and that the Church might be preserved. I don’t wish to die before going to Church and partaking in Confession and Holy Communion. Is this necessarily a bad thing not wanting to die? I wish to fight the spirits by prayer but I’m cowardly

It is not bad to want to live. God created love to be precious, and he gave us the instinct to preserve life. We are all cowards. All that matters is that you don't deny Christ if you ever have to chose between your life and Christ, He will give you the grace to strongly stand for Him despite any instincts or cowardice that tries to convince you to deny Christ to save your life. I pray you are blessed with a long, fulfilling life, and that you never have to face threat upon your life.

After the rapture of the 144K firstfruits, the seven last plagues of God's wrath will pour out upon the earth.
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
(The Jews keep the commandments of God, the Christians keep the faith of Jesus.)
And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from now on: Yes, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
A great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.
These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
(How do they wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb and make them white? They martyred for the Lord in the great tribulation.)
    Revelation 14:1-5, 15:1, 16:1
    Revelation 14:12-13
    Revelation 7:9-17

    Romans 4:8
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
    Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
