watching this video made me realize why TPCI was rude and blunt when they announced that moving forward the world championship will be more limited. You played against so many meme decks its hilarious and I'm sure others did as well. Congratulations on your invite and placement Zapdos!
Congrats on top 32! I’m surprised you hit 2 different 1-prize bloodmoons. I suppose if people thought miraidon was THE play it hits that weakness but…a bit weird. Awesome vid! Very cool how willing people were to interview after
Well done! Actually very impressive to be able to vlog everything after the matches. I think most people including myself would just like to go stretch, drink, pee, kick something perhaps lol Dub vs Miraidon so far in the tournament is wild too! GGs
I'm glad you didn't hit any of those iron thorns ex decks at worlds. Now that worlds is over would you still play lugia and if so would you add in like flutter mane and cancelling cologne to help with iron thorns ex? Great job at worlds Zapdos looking forward to future content.
If the cup I was at yesterday means anything, lugia with flutter beat the same iron thorns deck 3 times, once in swiss and 2-0 in cut. the iron thorns player knew what they were doing too, having a top 16 finish at a regionals among others
@@hunterpasson8374 I feel like you definitely have to run flutter mane or cancelling cologne in lugia otherwise you just take auto losses to iron thorns. That doesn't surprise me like all you need to do is have flutter in the active to get off summoning star and after that lugia just completely destroys iron thorns.
Is there a reason that Pokémon doesn’t use chess clocks so time is shared equally? I’m new but it seems like snorlax is kind of a problem in a time sensitive game. Chess clocks would help imo
Chess clocks don’t work for pokemon because many actions require both players. Forcing your opponent to switch their pokemon, checking an opponents discard pile, or waiting for your opponent to shuffle or cut your cards. If we had chess clocks how would you decide each moment whose time to count and it would become too difficult.
@@alexsmit5430 ah yea that could be tough. I’m coming from a Warhammer standpoint and usually big tournaments like worlds uses chess clocks. So how does the Pokémon community usually feel about timing out like that, and how they feel towards decks like snorlax. I was just surprised that at a worlds level running out of time like that is so common.
@@cullenasaro2229 I think most players find timing out to not be fun. You should always try your best to finish within the time, so seeing when it’s a good time to concede one of the matches is important. I think usually games don’t tie as often as they did this worlds. This time was a lot and often on stream, but since the worlds format changed a little, no one wanted to concede so they got as many points as possible. And snorlax is one of those decks that has a hard time to win because it’ll always run out of time and just tie. In general, most players don’t like snorlax or control decks at all. Stall like snorlax is disliked more than control though. I personally like control but find the snorlax card poorly designed.
@@alexsmit5430 yea idk. Snorlax does seem pretty lame. I’d hate to travel all the way to Hawaii just to get stalled out of a complete match against a deck that seemingly isn’t even trying to win the game.
I wanna thank everyone for the support throughout the years! We finally got a big finish at Worlds
