Great to see Sleeze Beez mentioned - I am convinced I’m the only person in the UK who is a fan. Took me a long time to track down the screwed… album on vinyl. Their records are so hard to find I’m considering a trip to Holland just to look for their records! These videos are brilliant but killing my bank balance chasing up your recommendations! Keep it up! You need to start your own re-issue label! 😎
Oh yeah, Spread Eagle is truly a rare gem. I have never heard of them and i can't explain why they don't became a super group. I have listened to the whole awesome album and it blew me away. I thougt i would fly out of my rocking chair. The lead vocals and the guitar work is absolutely breathtaking and the solos are superb heavy metal sounding at its best. Thanks for this recommendation and once again it was really worth it to watch your great videos.👍🤘👍
Hey Hartmut, that’s really great news! I love helping people find long lost gems like these. I feel the same way when I find one that’s new to me. And I want everyone to experience that mind blowing feeling! Enjoy!
The Sleeze Beez and Spread Eagle albums are the diamonds here. The whole first side of "Screwed, Blued, and Tattooed" just rocks my world; was truly amazed when "Stranger Than Paradise" started getting some well-deserved airplay. And Spread Eagle's debut is a true guilty pleasure; "Thru These Eyes" is one of my top power ballads of all time.
I love these Glam metal gems. Do more please. Go waaaaaaay down that lipstick and mascara rabbithole. Perhaps even investigate Horror/Glam/Metal like Ripper, Halloween, Lizzy Borden, Fatal Attraction, Willow Wisp, Witch, Creature, Alien, etc.
If I go down that route I’d do it as a separate series. But yes more Glam Metal Gems to come….it will be an on going series. I calculate that with over 1,400 Glam Metal albums in my collection I can do over 250 episodes! Haha

Hello Brendan!!....Great choices once again. Looking forward to episode n°3 and 4,5,6....ha,ha... You would've to consider doing one on rare melodic rock/aor albums, i'm sure you have some hidden treasures in that pile of boxes.
Hey Scott, that’s great to hear. I’ve been getting such positive feedback on that that’s why this one is an ongoing series. I’m looking to create some others too! A new one that just came to mind is Sophomore Slump Albums That Are Great….we’ll see.
@@BrendonSnyder honestly, I love it just as much as the first one! The production is...different, bit it's one of the things I really like about it. Commercially a slump, but definitely one of my favorites.
Last ramble...when you pay attention to the production of so many great rock albums from mid 80s very early 90s, many had their own, distinctive "sound". To me those different sounding production values really helped in painting the picture for the lane a particular band was traveling in. Even the first 5 Motley Crue albums sound very different from one another. I really wish bands would do that now. And I'm not knocking current rock music, but so many band's albums all sound the same with regard to the production.
Great video, some real gems there. I really love me some Sleeze Beez, their second album really rocks too. I found the second Spread Eagle CD back in the day which was good, never knew until recently how great the first one was. I just listened to my Saints & Sinners CD, that would be a cool one to throw in there some time.
Very cool list! Marchello was another cool band with a great album that went nowhere. I am also waiting for Amazon to deliver the album Power and Passion from Mama's boys, band that I discovered recently. Keep up the good work!
Heavens Edge, Roxy Blue & Babylon AD are albums I've recently discovered and luckily scored them all on vinyl. These are bands we never heard of in Australia at the time in the early 90's...
Yeah, Spread Eagle and Electric Angels are truly underrated and they should have been really huge if their management had worked them well. Some others Glam bands that could have made it: Every Mother's Nightmare (kinda like Skid Row meets Ratt), Seduce (their first album came out in 1984 or 1985), Star Star (their second album "The Love Drag Years" came out in 1992 and had a very strong 70's vibe).
There will be more of these episodes and some of those will appear. Star Star is a great example! I love that band and couldn’t believe how good they were when I first discovered them.
With the exception of singer Shane, ALL of the members of Electric Angels used to be the band Candy. I just discovered and got the Lost In The Atlantic CD myself this year. Great stuff.
Great video! They were really rarities. I particularly like Sleeze Beez. I never was a fan of Spread Eagle. I tried many time. Maybe I will give them an other chance.
Sleez Beez is a killer group that a great lead vocalist! Saw them in a small club in 90' killer show. Spread Eagle is another killer group, very tight band. I saw them open up for Vain in a club show. Unbelievable performance!
I agree both bands were so good! Such a shame they didn’t catch on sooner. Especially Sleeze Beez whose albums were always released 2 years after they were recorded. Can you imagine Screwed Blued & Tattooed being released in 1988 instead of 1990! It would have been so much bigger!
@@BrendonSnyder checked their site out two days ago, it seems that its run by old (Metal Hammer, Kerrang and Raw) rock journalists and appears to be a labour of love of sorts, can't fault it, the Sea Hags remaster is next on my list 🤘🤘.

Don’t worry I knew who you meant. I’m from Clearwater just outside Tampa. I remember when they did that. The radio station kept joking saying the song was a reference to local band Stranger….haha!
MCA Records I used to call the Musical Cemetery Of America.... Spread Eagle got airplay on Z-Rock.... Law And Order was another band on MCA Records that didn't do much.... Very few metal bands on MCA did anything Trixter on their first album was distributed by MCA but Mechanic Records they were signed with......
I remember Law And Order. They might make a future appearance. Trixter is excellent but too well known for one of these episodes. However their 2nd album could appear because that really flew under the radar. I may have to do a Sophomore Slump Albums That Are Great episode.

King Kobra - Ready to Strike Rough Cutt - Wants You Bad English - Backlash Tigertailz - Bezerk Honeymoon Suite - The Big Prize This time only 5 but there's many many more to come
Of all of those bands I would only consider Tigertailz glam metal. They could make an appearance in a future video. Honeymoon Suite and Bad English are AOR or Melodic Rock. King Cobra and Rough Cutt I’d classify as Metal but they could go either way.
@@BrendonSnyder Rough Cutt is a typical mid 80's glam metal band, as well as King Cobra. But because they were earlier than the late 80's bands they sounded a bit heavier. Still when you look at them, they are totally glam.
The first 3 come close to be Glam Metal but are a little too heavy. Power Metal is just that, part of the Power Metal genre and not Glam Metal. Good albums though, I own them all. Tyketto is fantastic and will appear on a future episode
I was going to mention Tyketto, who I don't consider "Glam metal", but they fit with Brendon's definition. Their first album is the best in the melodic rock genre from that time in my opinion.
