  • I show you how to create a box to hold 3 x 3 note cards to give as gifts or sell at a craft fair. Using 110 pound paper makes a nice sturdy box that is easy to put together.

Leslie, i have to tell you. You look so great. Your coloring is fabulous and even with no hair you are still pretty. I remember my late mother saying, you know someone is truly beautiful if they look pretty with no hair.
You are not only physicalling beautiful but your spirit is absolutely beautiful too.

It is so good to see you and see you crafting again...I will definitely try these...will make great gifts.... I am sorry I haven't been around alot... I was in the hospital for what I was told a severe case of pneumonia...I also have COPD on top of that and was still smoking...I ended up on the ventilator for a few days and don't remember what happened before I woke up...Long story short...I am much better and have quit smoking! Last day was February 1st of this year...It is tough...but no way will I go through that again....
On a happier note...It is wonderful to see how well you are doing and how the road to recovery is about over...I know you have went through a lot...but I am sure it is well worth it to still be here to enjoy your family....I know..I feel the same....You look fantastic and beautiful as ever! Continue to take care of yourself and see you in the next video! :)

I remember when I first made a box for cards. It took me all day to figure out the measurements. Once made, I discovered an easier way.... the internet - You Tube!! Still looking good Leslie and so is your craft room. You have been busy lol love and hugs Michelle x

Michelle, I can totally relate to your frustration in trying to figure out how to build a box for your creative project. Math! BAH HUMBUG! It is a total bonus when someone else does all the math for us and we just take off with their tutorial. LOL

    vey pretty.
May I make a suggestion. When you cut your paper for the box, place the 11 inch side at top of cutter. cut the 4 1/2 on that side. The paper is already 8 1/2 inches wide. you will get two out of one sheet instead of one.

Why didn't I think of that?! Thank you, Patty! You are AWESOME to mention this tip for anyone new to this...plus remind me to not have so much waste. Thank you, so very much!

Leslie Bockenstette. You are so welcome. you have helped me organize and have given me so many money saving tips of which I am so grateful. one tip that has worked for me is the scrap paper organizing. I still use it and it works wonderfully for me. also your great tip on cutting scraps of designer paper into workable sizes. I have made so may cards using them. no waste!
Thank you for being there to share all your great ideas to new and seasoned crafters like me.

I ended up making some Easter cards that were modeled after Lindsay Weirich's Easter Peep cards... I liked them!! Now, I want to make some 3x3 note cards for my son's teacher and assistants... they're all awesome at my son's school!!

also, i discovered a better glue than tombo. You get 8oz for 12.95. Tombo is .88 oz for 4.00. it us called Art glitter glue. It dries ckear, and if it squeezes out you do not have to remove it. Tombo never dries and remains sticky. I order it from Maymaymadeit.com. it lasts a life time.

Patty K I use the same glue and I love love love it. I only use Tombo if I think I need to.
