This guy won the WC, the Euros with France. He went in England and was unbeaten for a whole season with Arsenal ( unseen before), went to Barca, and won the treble for the first time ever in Spain. Talk about quality. Massive respect from me as a Madridista

He is responsible for a lot of heartbroken Arsenal fans we see nowadays lol
@@boxjellyfish.why he played the final in 2009 against Man U so I don’t understand what you mean with Arsenal…

He’s so calm and articulate under the circumstances special player
He came off in the 70th minute so at least had around 45 mins before this interview as it's after the medals and title was given. Still he's a super calm person and is always articulate.
This was the most dominant CL final of all time, until they faced each other again two years later lol. This Utd team was so so good, I think the best in their history. Pep first treble and now he repeats it 14 yrs later.
Eh, Madrid/Juve 2017 was more one-sided
@@roronoalaw7772 also Liverpool/Madrid 2018 karius gave madrid two goals
@@roronoalaw7772 Madrid - Juventus was kinda marred by Real Madrid having MASSIVE luck by scoring 2 deflections in a row, like vs Liverpool when Madrid got 2 goals from mistakes it kinda robs the excellence of the side imo.
AC Milan 4 - 0 Barcelona in 1994 was a brutal score line. Also worthy of note is that Guardiola was playing as a defensive midfielder in that 4-0 loss to AC Milan.
Lol no you're getting confused with the 2011 final
The 1994 final would suggest otherwise.
It seemed like it felt kind of anti climactic to him to finally win the champions league trophy. As he alluded to, it's probably because it was not with Arsenal. He would have been so much more buzzing than this if he'd won in 2006 final
It would have been a journey with Arsenal, to win it. With Barcelona, it was like it was inevitable
He Loves Arsenal as a fan to this day, but he was clearly so happy to win that treble with Barca under Pep. This was the first season of the greatest team to ever play football
@@merrymonarchwith Barcelona it was NOT inevitable.
It became inevitable once the entire world saw the referee blatantly help Barcelona get through vs Chelsea in the 2009 semi final.
@@shahzadirani Abidal wrongly sent off in the 2nd leg, Barcelona should of had a penalty in the first. The refs were bad for both legs, but don't act like Chelsea didn't get decisions go their way.
He was never happy on the pitch, even at his greatest moments he felt nothing. Like many geniuses he’s tortured.

You can see in this interview how much Thierry loves Arsenal
Cause we love him
Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are by far my favorite living football legends, they are the reason I fell in love with football in the first place, they are part of my childhood... Henry should have won at least one or two ballon d'or in the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he was so unique and underrated back then, he was almost unstoppable and genuinely a very good all-rounder authentic player. ☯️✌️
As a kid back then, those two were by far the most entertaining players.

@@Dawgman111You know 'invincible' means you weren't beaten either at home or away, right?😂😂
The great Titi, he deserved one champions league trophy at least
You can tell the trophies he won at Barca didn’t mean much to him. Ofc you take it but he doesn’t seem bothered. That Arsenal defeat in 06 final will always hurt Henry for the rest of his life. Despite being at Barca he’s still showing Arsenal love I rate it.
Carl Johnson what a Legend

Arsenal will always be greatful to our king Henry. Go Gunners

One of the best footballers ever!
Absolute class of a legend 👏🏼

You can see Henry is more like 'job done' here than over the moon at finally winning the CL when he was pushing 32. Someone like Gerard probably saw this interview and thought 'Yeah, not much point in winnning everything under the sun if it's not going to be at Liverpool. Glad I didn't give in to the pressure.'
Good for him.
He doesn't seem as happy as you'd expect, because he's probably thinking how he missed that one chance
2:31- Listen to what Thierry says here. It's probably more based on his time in Spain, many pundits/press at the time saw him to be a finished player because of the fact he wasn't scoring as many goals/being effective with Barca especially in his first season compared to when he was at Arsenal. He felt that he needed to prove a point and he certainly did by winning the treble in his second season.
he never really showed joy that much on the pitch, he said his dad was a disciplinarian, to not celebrate things that he's expected to do, that's why he rarely celebrated his goals.
He played in 9 finals but scored 0 goals. He never showed up in finals.
@@shaf621Thank god many, many players eclipsed him in the prem because whenever someone leads they get to make the rules and in UFC people started acting like the only way to compete is to copy Khabib’s attitude and behavior
Just glad we don’t have a role listening to the advice that footballers and their fans should be quiet cos that would be boring af

My ídol 💙❤️
I like it when he said Arsenal are in my heart my blood.
That's why we have a bloody big statue outside the Emirates of him, still our record goal scorer
I must say those 2008-09 years were incredible for every little child in Spain that supported Barcelona. We grew up thinking that we had superpowers to make our teams win. We thought we would come to win every single trophy from there on...
When football was at its absolute power and peak
People forget this man has won every important trophy and done it with class ability and goals.
If CR7 is a goat Henry surely is an equal goat
He was always my fav striker as as a Real Madrid fan I always wanted Florentino to signed him , when he did for Barcelona I knew we were in trouble ….. still a big fan of this guy

Henry like saying ‘the way we’.. all the time
You can tell he is Arsenal through and through despite playing for Barca. He needed to go there to win the champions league. Tbh 2006 was our only chance after that we went downhill fast and Henry could see the writing was on the wall under Wenger.
yes the wa they won against chelsea 2009 amazing

Xavi & Iniesta made Scholes & Carrick look like amateurs that day😀 That Barça side was special.
Respect to Championship Manager in the 90s on predicting his potential.
Fella went to Spain to beat down Utd
The first treble was so special
'The first treble' tells you all you need to know when it comes to how good Barcelona were throughout their peak with many of the best players of all time in them.
That first treble was so special that Pep needed the help of the referees to even reach the final vs United.
Barca and Pep should have been knocked out vs Chelsea in the semis but UEFA had other plans obviously.
Pep owes his entire legacy to the referees and to UEFA.

Your comment is 💯 spot on. As Arsenalfan that will always frustrate me. Far worse teams have won UCL but to not win it with Henry, Viera & Pires etc will always haunt me. The fact that invicibles couldn’t win that is something I can never get over. Even Liverpool with Gerrard won it and that year they came 5th in the PL.

Thierry Henry : " If you can't beat them join them".
They wanted to sign him for years Madrid and Barca dating back to 04 he finally joined Barca in 07 at the age of 30
Mad that pep has done this with 2 different teams now.
Mad that both were fraudulent trebles.
Mad that Pep needed the refs help to get through vs Chelsea in 2009, otherwise there was no shot at the treble in the final.
Mad that Pep needed the refs help to get through vs Arsenal in the 2011 round of 16 tie, otherwise no UCL there either.
Mad that Pep’s treble with City only happened after breaching multiple doping regulations and FFP rules.
