Brief Overview of This Video & TIPS
This a build overview of the RC10DS, showcasing highlights of the build. For the body, I am using an old Chevy Lumina body that I acquired in an RC Lot from an online RC estate auction that took place over 2 days. The body is in great shape and I will run it on the RC10DS. In the future, I will do other bodies for the RC10DS.
THE MANUAL: The biggest issue with this kit is not the fit or finish of the physical parts but instead the direction manual. There are numerous issues with manual from the placement of the parts, hard to see angles in images for the placement of hardware such as ball studs and screws, typos, and vague directions with no explanations unlike the original manual which I had to refer to several times throughout this build.
IN ADDITION, you will need FAST EDDYS Ball Bearing Kit for the RC10DS which will cost you approximately $30. Remember, your number one upgrade is always ball bearings!
LASTLY, while the tires used in the kit seem to be of a quality rubber with a lot of grip, the foam inserts for the front seem a little too small and do not fill out the tires. Also, If you are going to glue your tires, make sure to drill a hole on the inner side of the wheel.
