Yes and no...yes because it's a great fast track but no because it would have disappointed the fans because nothing else from the album can top it. As You may/may not know, they wrote enough material for a double album, which was originally titled, "Twin Turbos". They kept some extra material and put it on Ram it Down. Love Zone is a perfect example. I think this song could have easily been on Ram it Down because it's fast just like the title track. Thats just my take. This is an amazing song! 🤘
@@Walamonga1313 I love Reckless and most of the Turbo album and era concept but this song from that era is the only one that makes me wanna go buy a motorcycle and head out in the freeway at an imaginable speed.
Well, there's Parental Guidance on that album! I think this song might just and just beat that one! ;) (it definitely would). Not that many songs on Turbo that I really like. Reckless I do like, that's a very good song. Heart of a Lion would've made a great song on Turbo too. Shame that it wasn't included either. Or Prisoner of Your Eyes. But they wanted a commercial album..
@@MichaelMartinez777 Thunder Road is a banger! That's another case where having it included as a track on the original release would have made the album so much better. Ram It Down could've used that instead of Love You to Death.
The only songs I don't like from Turbo are Private Property and Rock You All Around the World... But the rest of the album is brilliant, 80s nostalgia through and through (Even if you didn't live in the 80s)
Totally dunno why. Priest guys made few "mistakes" considering the final choice of songs on their albums, but this, Prisoner of your Eyes and Living Bad Dreams are the most.visible ones
@@davidknichal6629 they made the right choice leaving living bad dreams off painkiller absolute turd robs choice of vocals on that track just plain weird as well
The 30th anniversaries of select Judas Priest albums don't have any Twin Turbos tracks except for Screaming for Vengeance. Very sad. I think JP should release an album containing all of the songs left over in the future
I think that it just didn't fit the vibe they were going for. Turbo was meant to be more mainstream friendly, more commercial, but this is more of a straight forwards metal song and they probably thought that it would scare away buyers. It's a fucking beast of a song and would've made the album more appealing to Priest's fanbase
This sounds so different than almost everything they've done. Call me crazy but this almost sounds like something off of Venom's 1980 "Black Metal" album. Something about the tone of the guitars makes it sound so...evil. Idk, but every time it starts playing I keep thinking "Black metal" is about to play but then nope. It's priest!
The guitar sound . But you know Priest was a precursor of Speed and thrash stuff since 1977 .. The riffs , the drums ... And even black metal was based on Exciter if you listen closely .. Especially the " down on your knees if you please " and the pre chorus of black metal
As it is written by the band in the painkiller remaster, its still a mystery to them why they left Living bad Dreams out. The same can be said for this but mostly for prisoner of your eyes
Anyone else think the word emotions sounds like bullshits? Just a hunch, but this was around the same time the pmrc basically insinuated that song lyrics made kids act badly.
Ah, ok. I know it wasn't on the one I bought when it first came out, but it is an awesome song, for sure. I was 16 when it came out (1986). I lied to my mom so I could go see this concert on the MS Gulf Coast with 2 hot chicks, lol. Man, that was a fun night!
Sometimes, when bands release a remaster that they really like, the originals will be taken out of the grid to give the new versions more exposition. You will have better luck looking for the originals on SoulSeek or torrent sites.
I can’t even find them uploaded on UA-cam. Same thing happened to Jugulator. Except at least I can actually find uploaded versions of the album here. Now I can’t even find the full Turbo LP uploaded.
This was issued as 1 of 2 bonus tracks on the 2001 remastered version of the TURBO cd. It's a favorite of mine for sure! This just kicks serious ass! Should've been finalized & included as part of TURBO!

If this song had been on the Turbo album from the beginning, it would have totally beaten all others, even Turbo Lover and Locked In.

I agree emphatically
Absolutely. There are a lot of Priest fans who hate the Turbo album but for me, it's my favourite album of theirs!!
