I found a story in an old book about my second great-aunt being scared by a bobcat when she went to the creek. The neighbors across the creek saw her high tail it back to the house and shared that story.
I learned so much from your well-organized presentation. I have used many of the collections you mentioned but didn't even consider school records, etc. I asked for the manuscript collection for my grandmother’s line (Elizabeth Albena Garner) and there was an original will, letters sent between genealogists working on her line 30 years before, and many miscellaneous artifacts. I took photos of everything and have the documents at my fingertips. What a treasure that was in the Maury Co. Tennessee Archives!
