A most insightful film. I've just returned from seeing family in Dominica- my heart also sank as I viewed the denuded, once lush landscape. There is an enormous job to do to re-build. Thank God my family we're ok. There is of course collective trauma and pain for those who were lost. Despite the circumstances I was most impressed with how well turned out the people were, especially taking the best care of their children- and getting on with daily life. I applaud them for their resilience.
Thats really sad. I feel for the families. Blessings to them.
Glad your family is ok.

Beautiful piece on our beautiful island. One year later we're still holding on and moving forward with strength and with true Dominican spirit.
The people of Dominica are so beautiful. May God bless them and keep them safe.
Everytime they rebuild. Another hurricane comes along and destroys everything.
Great mini-doc Josh! Pleased to hear that the family are okay! Keep up the fantastic work!
Very strong community. Chapeau 🌾 What can we do?

It toke my family awhile to feel some what comfortable but it still wasn’t the same.

When I got back to the UK
I was desperate to talk to someone about my experience it was overly traumatic no one could comprehend I don’t think I ever came out of the shock of it all I needed some sort of reassurance or a pinch from feeling numb..
Hold on star my brethren,i never knew my brethren lost his two daughters, thanks for this video, one love from Germany.
Wow
That question he keeps asking “If this keeps happening would Dominica be able to rebuild?”, why is that relevant?
Andrew Thomas there is clearly an agenda here...
just bringing it to the forefront without actually stating it. shake up the people a bit
my grandmother roof was ripped off, thank god she was in the US for a doctor appointment
The failure of the Bundescantzler - DieselGate
Come on Dominica, you guys have to upgrade your building codes, no more wood, no more zinc roofing...Sustainable development is the only way forward
