Chelmsford: Sort-of "Rube-Goldberg" Soda Machine @ Work

While I've seen conveyor/elevator vending machines before, not this particular model, and it's unnecessary movements.
It's neat in it's own ways, but imagine how much faster it could be.
This is at my workplace, per UA-cam policy, not mentioning it.

i like these really and they have been around for years. i liked the belt ones really. college had one with belt and it was easy to trick it and get free soda because could hold the door closed and it would think something was wrong and make another soda come out and could just do ti over and over but i only ever did it 1 or 2 times for a free soda. they changed the design to fix that of course. you say this is unnecessary movements but it uses sensors so the moving is itself seeing where it is really.
