ABOUT
Biological Sonnet is the debut album of Chaotic Desolation, and it arrived on all digital platforms on March 24th.
Focused on thrash metal and adding doses of groove and melody, Chaotic Desolation is the most diverse work of its creator, Thiago Alboneti. Biological Sonnet features a total of 10 tracks, with 2 of them already released as singles (Echoes of Triumph and Requiem for the Voiceless), where the scenario of biological warfare sets the stage for the musical massacre that unfolds over its 51 minutes and 51 seconds of music.
Despite the thematic focus on biological warfare, the album itself is not conceptual and does not directly address it. What has been done here is to choose a theme and within that theme, discuss various topics that could fit into it, such as overcoming adversity, inequality, abandonment, etc. In other words, once again, the creator of the work allows the listener to interpret the meaning of the music based on their own reality.
Biological Sonnet also features the participation of Renan Bezan (formerly of Sacramentia), sharing vocals with Thiago on the track "Under the Sign," with the lyrics of this song also written by Bezan.
And last but not least, this album includes the most personal song written by its creator, where Thiago composed the last day of his father's life, who passed away in 2009, in the song "The Night that Never Came." Despite the heavy and personal lyrics, the music itself is quite heavy with striking riffs.
