Henry I am raised In Knoxville Tennessee. I had to move to Michigan to make a living with General Motors. After watching this, you were raised really well, so that honor belongs to the ones that raised you. And that’s a big Honor.
When I first saw him I was blown away by his humor and now really respect the way he plans the direction he wants his career to go. The fact that he turns down roles that stereo type his race and the places he was brought up shows how much he respects his roots and mostly the love he has for his family. And wont take his family on the moves that would upset his family. Family first, that's right Henry.
it's admirable that cho turned down roles that were derogatory towards asians and the south. sometimes, i see asians taking on stereotypical roles, and i wonder what their process of thinking was in terms of accepting them.
It's very hard to break into entertainment, especially as a minority. When trying to get into acting and the entertainment industry, getting roles (even if it's demeaning) is often seen as an opportunity to network, and something that leads to moving one's career forward. Henry saying "No" to these things is such a powerful statement: He is not giving up his family life or integrity for the possibility of maybe making more money in the future.
What do you think about people who are Arab or "look Arab" or are ethnically from a neighboring country to an Arab country. Their first roles are always terrorists. How derogatory can Hollywood get...
*THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME* 😎 _In a day and age when people are ready to sell thier souls for a dime & some fame, people like henry cho really inspire me... i really do hope he makes it on his terms!!_ #TheGoatHenryCho
What shines through everything Henry does is INTEGRITY. Regardless of what makes anyone else happy, if it causes any disruption of his family's life or otherwise intrudes on the stability his kids enjoy, he's a solid NO. That may have cost him some major gigs and starpower, but he plays the long game. Henry is in his 60's while his kids are just plugging into life. He could play "The Game" at the cost of losing his kids to the Godless culture permeating through the world. OR, he sticks to his values and the 3 kids/adults he raised learn the importance of consistency and presence in their own kids' upbringing. Its a long game for which he chose correctly. Henry is a God fearing, consistent, solid Man whose kids love and respect him and will go out into the world armed with the values he and his wife lived and projected through love. And that right there, friends, is what true love looks like.
"I wasnt going to do anything derogatory to the south or asian people" - Henry Cho Thats right brother. Thats one of many reasons we love you in Knoxville an across the whole south. Doesnt hurt that your hilarious too.
How I love him! For years the only videos I could find on UA-cam were clips from WHAT’S THAT CLICKIN’ NOISE? Very funny, but I wanted more. Suddenly the attraction of Henry became apparent to people that hadn’t seen him before. He’s one of the funniest comedians ever, he’s clean, and he’s proud of his faith.
I didn't know this guy existed until a few days ago when I stumbled upon one of his videos. I gave up on network TV long ago. I like programming I can watch with my entire family without fear of inappropriate material, and it seems that the networks are aiming for more and more inappropriate material. I'm glad I finally found him. He's hilarious! BTW, how blessed is his wife to have a man who maps out their lives so carefully. I've lived in L.A., and he did the right thing getting his kids out of the schools out there. I went back for a visit a couple of years ago and was shocked and heartbroken to see the changes. Very, very sad to see what's happened to the land of milk and honey.
Henry, I've just been introduced to your act and guess what... you're funny. How could I expect more? Now, I find, you're a family man of integrity. Just the guy I work to be. My children are grown, and I now even have a great granddaughter, to whom I want to be her funny and caring Grandpa Rose. God bless you and your work.
Henry Cho, you are a funny guy. I am glad you have such Great work and family ethics. I would love to see more of you both as a comedian and actor. Take care and God bless. Remember that you can say anything as long as you add "Bless his/her heart", I love that part.. ha-ha
Sometimes one acts in the interest of ones family over the long run. Think military members. They and their families endure long separations for the greater good. Now it must be said that those separations are not taken on for the sake of a little more money or a project on a resume, but that isn't my point. My point is that to make a career decision based solely on the fact that one may need to "be out of town" for a short time, may not be as cut and dried as he makes it seem.
He is great, but not because of comedy,( and he is a great comedian). Its because of his faith and the fact that he is grounded in The Lord. As long as he follows his faith he can't go wrong.
We are non denominational . We love Henry and other clean comedians. Anyone can use swear words and private part words in their comedy but it's a cheap way to get a laugh and frankly I consider it toilet humor. It doesn't take any skill to do that kind of comedy. Whereas Henry and others, have to really think about what they are saying and its takes skill. So glad to have Henry in our world.
There are two key things about Henry Cho:
1) he works clean
2) he puts his family first
Henry Cho is a phenomenally beautiful man.
Henry's humor, to me, is a lot like Jeff Foxworthy's humor. They are grounded in faith based humor. Thank you. Thank God for people like you.
Same manager JP Williams
There's just something about a man of integrity.
Refuses to sacrifice his family for his career...this is what NOT selling out looks like. Sometimes that fame and fortune is NOT the right path.

I have been a fan of Henry Cho forever, now all of my kids love him, one of the greatest comedians ever... And he's clean, bless you brother.
"I reckon so." - Henry Cho.
This cat clearly knows his direction and keeps it real and in front of him. A great talent with the best tool ever, honesty.
lol I am not awake my immediate response was, he has a cat? where is it? (catlady here)

Oh wow, so great to hear Henry is a man of faith 🙏
I love the way this man is. Quality of life. A very good man who loves his family.

Clean is always much more fun.😂
A dirty joke is so uncomfortable. 😳

And this is why the South is a great place. It teaches true heart and real priorities

He was brought up right! Much respect to him for holding the high ground. It paid off!

Mad respect for everything he just said! No shame in the game.
The fact that he didn’t let them make him bash his race of his home says a lot about him. He deserved more and was a funny comedian.
on the bright side, he is still alive and performing....
Yes very much alive and has shows coming up this summer in Ala and Tenn.

That right there is how to be a role model four your children.
And you did it YOUR way! Great job on the priorities!!
I know this is an old clip. Your family is important. You can't get back time that you might have missed with them.
Thanks for being a man of conviction even when it isn’t profitable!! Bless you!
I remember how this guy often says something along the lines of “I don’t make this stuff up I just write it down”
Henry cho you da man!!!
It's all about quality. You're a super rad comedian and seem like a great dad and human being.
Man, I just heard about this guy 30 minutes ago. But the last couple minutes of that was some of the realest shit I've seen on youtube.
Wow mad respect for you, brother Cho!
Great comedian, and would love to learn more about him. God bless you all !
He’s in Wikipedia.
Outstanding citizen-and funny as all get out!
Great comedy and I definitely support his view on quality of life for his family over a career in movies. Deep respect.

Hollywood need to get mature and move on from same ol jokes and same ol myth. People are smarter than they think
3:31-3:35 is henry JUDGING tom mapother???? judge not lest ye be judged 헨리 씨
You will know them by their fruit…not judgement, but a wise observation…
So... his accent was just over exaggerated? Cause I don't hear any of it.
I hear it. He has a southern accent.
He’s from Knoxville Tennessee.
He’s a better man than Ken Jeong who sold his soul to Hollywood that’s for damn sure!
