Good to see you back John, and with a new four legged friend, just got your last video to watch and I'm up to date. Typical algorithms , didn't let me know you were back a couple of weeks ago 👍
Thanks a lot Josh! Hope all is well in Australia. Would love to visit there someday! I’m sure there are some although I don’t watch any as of now. There’s a lot of one off videos I like. Thanks for commenting 👊
@@fairwayjohn6336 I’ve seen a few comments about people asking for other types of videos. They must not understand how hard it is to try vlog when you are on machinery! 😂
Hey John this is the first time I'm actually watching a voice,I've listened to all the rest while I'm at work driving, can't get away with looking at my phone 🤷♂️..So what's the machine that guy was riding on sideways kinda fast??..I'm getting closer to my I Quit day for my driving job then I'll try and get hired at a Golf Course..or I'll just do my landscaping business..I want to do both actually.
Thanks for watching (and listening!). That machine was a green roller. Just a heavy piece of equipment on rollers used to smooth out the surface and speed up the pace of the greens. It’s really fun to ride on. All the best to you!
The course looks great John; love your videos. Just wondering if you ever get to do things other than just pick up debris and rake bunkers? I know that I would get pretty bored if all I did was those two things everyday. Merry Christmas BTW
Hey Tyler - thanks for watching. Yea, I use to mow greens all the time, then would spray weeds, etc. I did a lot of sod replacement too. I’m trying to work up to more of a Team Lead…which in reality, is kinda boring. I’m working on getting more interesting stuff posted to the channel. Merry Christmas!
You got it good man. I’m at a small par 58 golf course. We’re a 6 man crew (not counting the only fairway & rough mower). Even being a smaller golf course I feel like we’re always having large tasks thrown at us. Constant sprinkler repairs, machinery problems, building new tee boxes, fallen trees, pond clean ups, etc. You guys seem to have it down. How big is your crew?
Hey John, missed you and your channel. Just wondering does your course plant winter rye grass to keep things greener for the members? Keep up the great work.
Hey Steve - they don’t actually. Temps rarely go below 65 degrees so the course never really turns that brown. The old course I worked at did though. Soooo, I guess it’s really up to the club. If that changes this winter, I’ll let you know.
i got several years of landscaping skills would a golf course hire me ? for golf maintenance on the course? i also have certifications on ztr mower i got from school too
When you said superintendents car, not mine.. I felt that 😂😂

All the best to you. We have about 25-30 people on our crew.

12:46 , What? You did not pick up that stick and kick the mulch back into the bed?

Yes, I work at a course currently and I have been a landscaper before. A lot of skills will carry over.
