Let's Learn English! Topic: Inside the Home: Decorating and Interior Design
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 чер 2024
- Welcome to this English lesson on Decorating and Interior Design. Houses and apartments are great. They are even better when we take the time to decorate the interior in a way that suits us. As you continue to learn English you will want to be able to talk about the interior of a house or apartment, especially the things you do to the space to make it your own.
In this English lesson I will talk about painting, wallpaper, posters, pictures and more! I will help you learn English vocabulary and phrases for talking about decorating your home.
I hope you enjoy this English lesson!
⌛ Remember: By tomorrow this video will have auto-generated English subtitles. This can help you to go back and re-watch parts of the lesson that you did not understand.

Happy week end. 19/6/2020
Hi teacher Bob, how are you? Here in Brazil we use French words to name some stuffs at home, for example, the light on the bed side table we call here of "abatjour" and the kind of window we use in the kitchen or bathroom is called "vitreaux". Thank you for the class.
Interesting! I'm trying to think of some French words that we use in English, and the only one I can think of is chandelier. 🖼🚪📚
@@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian For this one i think we use a word with French origin "Lustre"
Hi Bob. I am happy to see you again.I teach English as a second language. I was wondering if it is possible to send me a copy of an English exam for 10th or 11th or 12th grade just to exchange experience. BIG THANKS.

Hi Mr. Robert. I am glad to see you again. How are you? How to complete the school year in schools and high schools in Canada? I am an art teacher and artist. I would be very interested to hear a story about Canadian artists.

🏡🪑🚪
Do you already receive my postcard? It's from Madeira Island. I have sent in February...
Have a nice weekend! 👍🏻
❤
Hi Bob from Canada where r u bcoz soon I will be in Canada in Edmonton
One-hour lecture is too long for me. But, it's a good lecture.
Hi Bob,
I hope you are doing well.
I will allow myself a few small questions concerning the habitat.
In fact, to maximize protection against the cold, what materials are used? Are wooden houses sufficiently protected to pass the winter? Are these words used in North America? In France houses are currently built with insulating bricks or even now with straw in the walls as a super insulator.
Regarding the toilets, in Europe they are mostly installed separately or very rarely in the bathroom due to lack of space in small apartments but it is very unusual. Is it a custom or a habit in North America to install the toilets in the bathroom? Regarding the paths or sidewalks, they are mainly covered with asphalt, tar or macadam. Are these words used in North America?
Thank you
I`d like to know the difference between a duvet and a comforter.
A duvet is usually filled with down and a comforter is just fabric. 🖼🚪📚
@@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian Thanks a lot.
@@koymark5091
I also think that duvet is more like a British word.
@@hamzaboutekfa7295 Actually dear, they say it in Canada too.
