no exaggeration dude, youre my favorite youtube channel and... i watch way too much youtube. havent even owned a tv or a streaming subscription for any of the last decade. i rewatch videos from you every time i'm about to start a project, but i also watch them when they drop or aren't about anything i'm working on because you're just fun to watch and listen to. you uploaded this right before i went to bed last night and i was ALMOST bummed at how long it is only because it meant i had to wait til today to watch it. it's crazy you dont have more subs but for those of us watching man, just know you are killing it. and i could swear you've hand picked out all your project cars just to tickle my specific fancy. rah rah cheerleading pom poms
Thanks man, I appreciate the hell out of this. It really means a lot. It sounds like you have excellent taste! It's hard not to get discouraged by how little traction my stuff gets, but I really believe I could make this my job. Just gotta figure out the algorithm manipulation. All I can really do is ask you guys to share the channel and make the best content I can!
@@bakedbeansgarage116 I definitely think you could take off on here, you've already found your niche, and I think it's just a matter of time the right crowd starts watching. Especially compared to most other DIY garage content on youtube, your camera work, editing, on-screen presence, all make it super enjoyable to watch. And you're good at putting simple words to somewhat complicated things which is awesome for new or younger DIYers. Keep at it! Nobody else is doing it like you right now!
Got an 86 Turbo Diesel Jetta that is coming apart this winter and even though I've done most of this work across multiple mk2s and a Ginster GTI I enjoyed watching and being reminded of how simple they are.... Really excited to have this car back on the road. Owned it for about a decade but only got to drive it for about 2 years before the engine became a hassle to start. Got all the suspension parts here already. Going through an engine rebuilding course again since I haven't done it in decades. I don't want to pay 3k for a rebuilt engine when I can do it myself for 1100...
My favorite part about sought after euro shidboxes is telling my dad "hey look this car you used to get for 500 bucks in good condition back in 2009 is worth more than my entire life how cool"
I can relate to "I can never seem to go more than a year or two, without completely taking this car apart to nothing". I've got my 1990 civic si for a bit over a year now and I already redone whole engine, front suspension, front brakes and interior. Anyways great vids, I really appreciate the fact that You are sharing useful knowledge and experience.
Funny how life can be, I owned 1987 golf mk2 gti and volvo 940 at the same time. Both cars were excellent, loved them so much. One was my daily driver while the second was just there, it had some problems with documents, wasn't possible to drive it legally. But I still did, couple of times. And then I found your channel when you started working on volvo, I like your way of explaining things in your videos, music, and excellent sense of humour. Thank you so much for your work and effort you put into it is just on another level. Attention to details and stuff, you definitely know what you're doing, I wish the channel had more views
Thank you for the kind words! They really are excellent cars (just don't get into an accident in a mk2 lol). The channel is growing, just slowly. I'm optimistic. Please share the channel where you can! It really helps!
@@bakedbeansgarage116 Yeah, I hopefully will not, now my friend drives my golf, and volvo went to a different region of my country to be used as a shell basically, without papers it's worth nothing, unfortunately
Thanks for all the mk2 golf videos they are great. Started working on mine again but to be honest mine is in such a bad state probably needs more work than your crashed one! haha
It seems even when you’re not driving, you’re giving it the beans. And the full 9600 baud aohell handshake montage sound replacement was literally and digitally hilarious. Thanks for ending a very much Monday with a laugh. Love your way of doing and saying things.
Definitely subscribed after binging some video's. Matching type of tistic humour/editting Useful experience. Came for the MK2 golf (I have one too) Stayed for the Bolens. Maybe.
ohh yeah the e brake handle is different wonder why that had to be different. the eu don't have the little fuel tank either or none that i have seen have had one
I don't have a good answer. It just became my default. I overheat fast and can't bend down very well, so barefoot on concrete and picking stuff up with the piggies is helpful.
The rotten banana is still in the fleet, but it has already made the trek to the new BBG HQ, which is a few hundred miles away. It'll be back, but it's gonna be awhile. There is, however, a video on my white rabbit pickup coming in a few months.

Your safety boots are the best. Gonna take a leaf out of your PPE book. Love it 😂

great editing, humour, knowledge and mk2s. good stuff! i especially enjoy the omission of HEYGUYSSWHATSGOINGON style of narrating.
Thank you for the kind words! These kind of comments really do mean a lot ☺️

I did not enjoy that either.
Thank you for this very good video

Takes one to know one lol, thanks, bud!
7:52 that gave me "howtobasic" flashbacks
I have a new appreciation for that dude, knowing how long those videos must take to edit.
I miss the classical music when i hear youre ambient work noises at 20:50
I worried about this. Duly noted. I'll see how I can bring it back.
I miss it too, but the copystrike bots even come after the public domain stuff.

No idea, the US had lots of stupid requirements at the time, haha.

came for the excessive use of hammers, stayed for the pyrotechnics
Why no shoes?

Do you by chance have a spare hammer I can borrow?
Absolutely not
Understandable, have a nice day. GOBBLESS

can you put out cigarettes with your bare feet?
I'll let you know next time I start a small fire while welding.
