I got married in 2015 at 20. I’m still very much in love and have two babies. People see us and think we are newly weds. Marrying your soulmate and best friend is the best thing ever. The only thing that was really hard was getting pregnant at 21 I was a literal child lol i wouldn’t have it any other way now but if you could save yourself pain do it a bit later ❤😂

I almost got married at 21. I’m so thankful I didn’t get married to him. Now I’m 28 and getting married to my soulmate and bestfriend. Everyone’s timelines are different. Although I’d advise not to get married at 20 because I believe the brain is not developed enough to make a life long decision, many people got married young and have had amazing marriages. I hope the same for you.
Same! I was so sure I was mature enough at 21 and that I was ready and that I knew myself and that I was different when in reality I didn’t have the life experience to see my fiancé at the time was terrible. I thank god I changed my mind! The prefrontal cortex of the brain isn’t fully developed until 25, you could even argue later! You don’t get your “adult brain” until 25, I high advise against major life decisions like marriage until then but some people get lucky and it works out for them. I hope it works out for these two🙏🏽All of my friends who got married young divorced young (or are Christian and don’t believe in divorce even though their husbands now abuse them). I got married at 30 and I barely feel like an adult, I’m so glad I waited! My husband is phenomenal! I think it’s important to really know yourself and be with each other long enough to go through real hard times together, then you’ll know if you can make it. I wish these two the best of luck!!!

Agreed. Not living with your partner before marriage is such an antiquated rule. It’s not practical in our current society/culture. Since I grew up Christian, I have a LOT of friends who got married young. Only one of those couples are still together. Marriage is a big decision that can come with a lot of consequences. Encouraging young ppl to get married before they’ve figured out who they are and what they do with their life is harmful imo

It’s sinful.
A lot of religions say thats a big no no. I dont get it but ive been living with my partner sleeping in the same bed for over two years. I also want to highlight that im disabled and they help me with everything but preventing us from having premartial sex was the most important thing on their mind.(why would we have sex on a boat with their entire family and im ace we dont even have sex) i was gonna have to share a room and bed with my partners mother cause thats definetly less weird 🙄 reigion gets carried away
Christ calls us to abstain from sex until marriage. While you can abstain while living together, the temptation to have sex is very much present, and even moreso because you are literally with this person, sleeping in the same home as them and are alone with them for longer periods of time. Christ also calls us to flee from temptation, and therefore, staying in your own places until you are married is an added accountability. Furthermore, Christ calls the husband and wife to leave their families and cleave to each other, forming a new family. This isn't clear when you are living together before you are married. Additionally, creating a covenant with each other under God bears so much weight, and simply living with someone does not have that significant promise tied to it, so it is much easier to leave your partner. Marriage is supposed to be a bond that unites couples for life.
Oh yeah I was confused af until the end. Makes me sad tbh. I used to be really religious. My parents married young for a lot of similar reasons but ended up divorced because they were too young to get married. Might work for some but it also doesn’t work for a lot of others.
With the appropriate support it's very doable. But that's important. I am glad my own church does a fair bit of pre marriage counselling before the wedding takes place for couples who want it.@@Mazygolucky

Abstaining from sex before marriage and staying obedient to Christ by getting married before living together is not a "Mormon" thing, it's a Christian thing.
Could just be any other brand of Christianity too but yeah. Idk how this ended up on my recommended page. Hope they don’t live to regret it.
@@MazygoluckyI’ve been following Rylie for a bit, and found her partner to be…cringe(?) and not super supportive or kind to her. So them getting married was kinda off to me. Now hearing that they’re pretty religious…it makes sense. I hope I’m wrong about him, but yeah, not good vibes imo
@@Samantha-zu3qe I hope so too but yeah everything about this video made me cringe SO much and it just felt so disingenuous.
@@Samantha-zu3qe also I realized after writing this comment I have seen some of Rylie’s other gymnastics content and liked that, which would explain why I saw this video. It just worries me as someone who came from a religious background and have seen a lot of unhappy marriages come out of these exact circumstances.
Got married at 16.. by CHOICE before anyone comments. 17 now and living my best life with my best friend. Marriage at a young age (around 16 n up) is fine as long as you can afford it and love that person truly.
And no I dont have kids. I recommend to have kids when ur older.
Good for you, wish you many sweet babies
For you guys it will work out. The last person I dated was for 6 years and I’m glad we didn’t get married because she’s a horrible person. I’m 41 now but I’ll gladly start over if it means I don’t have to live with my ex
You think twenty is too young!? My parents got married at 18 😂 they have been married for about 25 years now.
Getting married before you move in together is wild🤣 happy for you though:) i dont want marriage:)
It’s definitely a religious thing
These are so stupidly cute 😭 I too am looking forward to one day not having to eat my parents food choices everyday
Red flags everywhere. He barked right in your face.
