"You have to be determined to change the world with your film even though nothing changes."
This is probably one of the bigger projects that I've done these past few months. I have used over 80 movies in this one and all of them I love dearly. All of these movies are quite important for me, so merging them in one video was simply a joy. Voice-overs are from the movie directors I take inspiration from and I admire as they are my favourite.
    Thank you for watching.

    "Art is made in solitude."
Finally got around in watching this and man did this hit home for me David. Directing has been an aspiration of mine for years and this part of your video series was some of the most important informative ones yet. Directing and filmmaking in general is almost like surfing to me. You're slightly in control but at the same time not in control at all because the wave is taking you into the unknown. Somehow as artists, we need to embrace the discomfort that is creativity which would then allow us to "precide over accidents" as Mr. Welles so eloquently described.
Keep at going with these beautiful and in-depth tributes man, I am absolutely loving these!

As a guy who has been in love with movies for literally his entire life, I can't even express what this video made me feel. Cinema to me is a form of art that only keeps getting better everytime I experience it. The experience of going to a cinema, sitting through a whole new story every time, being awe struck by the hard work if not brilliance of the director, is a feeling that never gets old. One thing ik for sure that till the end of my days, nothing can and nothing will give me that high, that excitement , that fun which I have grown to love so much apart from cinema. Even after going to the cinema a thousand times every time I go, I enter with a smile on my face and that's what to me movies are all about. Even if it's takes me away from the sorrows of every day life for just a span of 2 hours, it gives me happiness. It's these little things in life which you truly come to appreciate as you grow older and I know that my love for cinema will never die. Thank you so much for making this video and making me realise once again why we love this thing called cinema so much

Yes, I know, that Garo will post a film list, I just really want to find out how many films I can recognize by a few seconds. I become a passionate film lover over the last few years and after the first watch, I felt such a strong connection with the essence, the spirit of this marvelous and inspiring project. Some of these will be guesses, some certainties, I've seen most of these films.
    0:18 - Persona (1966)

    0:53 - Enter the Void (2009)
    0:55 - Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
    0:56 - The Big Lebowski (1998)
    1:02 - Cinema Paradiso
1:09 - I feel like I should really know this, but I can only guess Europa (1991) which might be a total miss.
    1:13 - Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
    1:16 - Kagemusha (1980)
    1:21 - Samsara (2011)
    1:24 - At Eternity's Gate (2018)

    1:44 - Journey to Italy (1954)
    1:46 - Eraserhead
    1:48 - The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
1:53 - Oh boy, why is visual memory so unreliable... Maybe it's Dreams from Kurosawa, but that's just intuition...
    2:00 - Stalker (1979)
    2:03 - Nahh, I have no idea
    2:06 - 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
    2:12 - Persona
    2:13 - The Master (2012)
    2:15 - Fanny and Alexander
    2:17 - A Clockwork Orange (1971)

    3:22 - The Green Mile
    3:24 - Goodfellas (1990)
3:26 - Now, the difficulty here is that although I've seen most of Bergman's films, Nykvist's brilliancy shines through all of the films in which he was responsible for the imaginary, also Liv Ullmann plays in quite a few Bergman films but I would say I'm 82% sure in Cries and Whispers (1972)
    3:27 - Apocalypse Now (1979)
    3:29 - The Third Man (1949)

    3:43 - Taxi Driver (1976)
    3:45 - The Master
    3:47 - Should I know this? Probably...
3:49 - Nooo, I love Marlon Brando, but I mix up the two movies... I have to say On the Waterfront (1954) but forgive me if it's A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)
    3:53 - Roman Holiday (1953)
    3:57 - Fanny and Alexander
    3:59 - Citizen Kane (1941)

But hats off to you, this is not only an admirable and beautiful testimony of yours but also clear evidence of your passion, hard work and goal to show us something deep and meaningful. Also, I feel like I agree with ~90% of your choices, so I pretty much share your taste (dear people, go watch these movies if you haven't yet, I also have to find and watch some of these). In my eyes, you achieved everything you have planned for and more; here lies the greatness of one creator a few directors, and many, many people working in film production. I rarely comment on any platform, but this just caught me totally off-guard and reached me in such a personal level, I can't even express myself properly, so if you allow me to finish my babbling with an honest request - let us be overjoyed watching your works many more times in the future.
(Oh man, you sweet, unknown, kindred spirit, finishing with Bresson and Bergman, Bresson and Bergman... I have to watch some of their films again.)

Every time I feel as though I’ll go nowhere with my creative pursuits, I watch this video and feel the inspiration flood in. I’ve never fallen in love with anything so quickly as I have with cinema, and every time I hear Tarkovsky or Bergman or anyone else speak, I can’t help but feel as though this has to be my life. As if there’s nothing else I can truly do that will be as satisfying as being a film director. I know I will continue to watch this video as the years go on, and it will continue to offer me more inspiration than I can ask for.
