Andrew, I would like a video from your Dad for his farming expertise. Qs would be 1) how does he know where to plant what vegetables each year. do you have a map of all the farms and plan it out? 2) how old was he when he first started farming?
When I lived up north I had a neighbor with a long driveway and large turn around/ parking area at the top. He took a old grass seed spreader and put a sand and salt mixture in the hopper. As it broadcasts the sand & salt over a wide area he'd have his driveway covered in much less time than we would. If you have a old spreader that you no longer use, maybe you can convert it to salt and not have to shake the cup over and over to cover your parking lot.
I don't mean anything weird at all when I say I'd like to spend a day making pies an apple butter with Grammy. I volunteer to wash pans when my Union is doing our annual scholarship cookie bake. I'd scrub pans for the Veggie Boys (and Girls)! anytime, just because it looks like so much fun. Mahalo Nui with much Aloha from Hawaii...
Back in the '80's I worked in a small farm market and cafe. We catered to the fisherpeople in the summer. I'd start at 2am so the cinnamon rolls, english muffins and biscuits would be ready first thing by 4. The smells always sold everything.
I am like number 305 and only 10 minutes in to the video.... so I'm sharing with everyone publicly.... for some reason it was just on friends and maybie that is why we haven't got the numbers we need to grow this channel. Also commenting that I know that I feel like an extended family member. Hugs from Esquimalt🎉
For rock salt dispensing, we use a cheap hand held fertilizer dispenser. You know, those red ones that has the manual crank on side? Works pretty good!😉
Hang in there! Only 59 days till Spring! 🌻🌻🌻 Ooo you know what? Andrew could add the name of the cow and little cards with nose prints on them to the beef the farm market sells, like the Japanese do with Wagyu beef. 🐮🐮🐮
If you need a salt spreader on your farm for your UTV, consider Fisher brand. Best snowplow on the market too. Look us up! On my 41st year dedicated to this great company in Rockland Maine. Another great video!!! You have an awesome family!!
Really enjoyed the live go yesterday to Andrew. It was a nice impromptu treat! And you addressed several of my questions so thank you! Nice job as always. Thank you!
Hey Andrew why not get one of those grass seed spreaders that are like 20 bucks from Home Depot ...... I picked one up a few years back and even tho its plastic it works like a charm . I don't have quite the parking lot you have but I think you should have no problem with the spreader .
Bad eggs float in water. The freshest eg gs lay flat on their long side. Use soon eggs have pointy end down, but don't break the water surface. Hope that made sense.
You could try cotton shopping bags with your name and logo on them. Would love to try your eggs but don’t think they would arrive still in their shells. Regards from England U.K.
Most homesteaders says their chickens stop laying eggs this time of year. Why do your chickens not stop laying ? I’m glad for you guys, but wonder what makes the difference. I wish that I could visit your market. Love these videos !
I'm so intrigued by the ham roll! You've mentioned it before and all I can ever find are recipes for ham roll ups :( Is it referred to as something else? Is it a regional thing? Or is it an an extra special original Ochs Family invention? I'm going to have to keep searching. Such a beautiful snowfall that day.
when you looked to your left while packaging the eggs it almost looks like you have a ponytail (the collar/hood of you hoodie. It suits you. I would absolutely LOVE to get some of your eggs
I was just thinking that if you were going to continue feeding the larva, it might be worth your time to look into raising them yourself. I've seen other folks with specialty insect cultures do quite well raising them.
Wish I lived close enough to visit your farm market. Unfortunately I'm in Westmoreland county pa. We had a farm market a couple miles from up but family retired and closed it up.
Just curious how much do you sell your eggs for? We are from tenn our daughter has 70 chickens. She loves taking care of her chickens. Feeds them popcorn in the afternoons. Give her eggs away, so I always have eggs. 😊 love watching you guys
@theveggieboys much higher in Tennessee, and that is the store for old eggs. Lol! Farm fresh eggs are best! So glad my daughter is chicken farmer. I keep her in jams and jellies I make, she keeps me in eggs. Good swap. Be blessed ya'll!

I love watching Callie munching on fresh veggies. You have a beautiful family.
How about some FOAM COOLER CUPS...ILL TAKE ONE
Thanks, she does love her veggies!
I use a hand held or a push grass seeder to put down salt. works great and the seeder is a cheep alternative, to a tractor or truck spreader.
