P.S. If you have Rock Band please keep submitting any of Savatage songs on RB. Thank You
Criss was a gifted guitarist, gone but not forgotten R.I.P
Only the good die young!
Best song ever. Thanks maestro❤
The Savatage "unreleased" songs are better than most bands' best songs.
words cannot describe how much i love them...
Best fucking band ever!!!
Still the orchestra plays...
amen
Lyrically and Musically Masterpiece
Criss always knew how to amaze people with his guitar , he was a true genius
How could anyone NOT love Savatage?! So much energy and emotion...
Thanks Sav2TSO
Okay! It's April 25, 2014 and today is the 1st time I've ever heard this song!
Been a SAVATAGE fan since 1990.
August 31, 2014 and first time ever for me too ...
It's 13.1.2017 and today is the 1st time I've ever heard this song!
Been a SAVATAGE fan since yesterday.
I hear you Fraevo10 I've been a fan since I was 17 or 18 I'm 50 now and just hearing this for the first time today August 25th 2017. I have the Dungeons are calling cassette and this tune is NOT on there, it's worn out and would not play if I still had my MARANTZ SD155 dual cassette deck to play it on.
This is from the 2002 Metal blade release
One of my favorite savatage songs, like criss,s playing in this, ❤
A favorite track from savatage 😊
I can't believe I never heard this song until today. THANK YOU.
LONG LIVE THE 80s HEAVY !!!!!
l could listen criss and john Olivia all day any day
Criss didnt die he lives in my heart, in these solos. Body finally goes six feet under but still the orchestra plays
What a song! More guitar wizardry from Criss, and Jon is mesmerizing on Vox! Such a great band, i wish they had more respect. Hope for a reunion and UK tour.
Masterpiece!!!!!! The best!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Every comment I agree with, you guys kick Metal ass !! True Savatage fans....Yeahhhh ! 😎🙋♂️👍🤘
3:42 this riff was used later on Edge Of Thorns album in the song ''Follow Me''
It's also in an cut track from Streets called Larry Elbows
0:45 - 0:55 : That part was later used for "This Is Where You Should Be" (/watch?v=5ThbixIP6Os), a Mountain King-era song put as a bonus track on the compilation album "From the Gutter to the Stage" (1995), and in the 2002 re-issue of the album "The Wake of Magellan"
3:41 - end : That part was later used in "Larry Elbows" ( /watch?v=ioWiSsDf99Q ) an unreleased "17th track" meant to be on "Streets, a Rock Opera", and later re-used for the track "Follow Me" from the album "Edge of Thorns".
♥
Exactly!!! I noticed both parts!
👍👍👍👍
Correct
Beautiful
awesome song!
Amaizing song,the Best!!!
way back when, we had a metal LP shop in the boonies of alaska, which got these albums from LA the week after they came out. so i spent my student loan money on them and some other stuff for my listening pleasure lol
Listened to this 50 times, this track sould definately have been on any Savatage album imo! Terible mix on the recording of this but Chris' lead is just liquid smooth. What a guitar player. Rip
aatz1982 kinda sucks but kinda cool in its own way they do the end lead solo on edge of thorns with zak Stevens on vocals. Forget what song it is but despite the recording in this its better than it was in 93
Ending riff and solo is in my opinion Epic.
Agreed! Greatest rideout in history. 🤘
I need this CD! I have the old worn out cassette and this is not on there! FRACKING AWESOME!!!
avalonjoes I have the 2002 Metal Blade issue with Metalhead, Before I hang and this song. It sucks it doesn’t have Fighting for your Love. Their best album, or shall I say EP.
when i hear chris oliva's guitar i get chills
The greatest ever!
The Dungeons Are Calling!
this song is excelent holy shit!
Like the previous two years I have a zillion plans but hardly succeed to accomplish them. Halfway jump from one thing to the other. Really plan to put my old vinyl on YT this year. There are many great old bands I have that cannot be found here yet.
This also has lyrics from another unreleased song "This Is Where You Should Be" which was also amazing!

A nice, dark song.
Wow I never knew they even knew him! Criss Oliva was so criminally underrated!
Who else had called? I am just curious.
Michael Williams Criss is my second favorite guitarist, only behind Randy Rhoads. They both are 1A and 1B. Criss is just as badass
I wanna take a long walk in the dark . I find mystery their
fucking bad ass! !!!!
Why was this song never on the album? Has anybody noticed one of the riffs in this song is used in "Follow Me" of the Edge of Thorns album.
parts of this were actually used on the edge of thorns album for the song follow me so thats what happened to this song lol
ahhhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!
Still gonna do this one one day :-D
The perpetrater of Criss Olivas death got 17 years in prison.
this is the song that later bacame ''follow me'' from the edge of thorns album!sweeeeet!
priestordeath, just like Fight for your Love became Cry for your Love on Fight for the Rock
yeah its heard in israel by me super metal love savatage!thanx 2 all
dikkat ettiniz mi follow me şarkısının riffleri şarkının 4,37nci saniyelerinde çalmaya başlıyor:))))))
üstadlar muhteşemsinizzzzzzzzz
criss olivia demekki o yıllardan hazırlamış muhteşem follow me şarkısını
If you listen to this one and Target closely you can tell they are later. Probably around the Power Of the Night and Fight For the Rock era. But I agree these tunes are amazing and would have fit great on any of their records.
DrLangMusic this song is from 1980 bro
Criss ..
in order for one to appreciate(misspelled i know)metal one must have an open mind to the message.
You actually spelled it correctly

CRISSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I respectfully disagree and others have said this too.
He should have had more coverage in the magazines also.
This was the main reason why I thought it was amazing people like Steve Vai knew of him.
Michael Williams Criss Oliva is the second best metal guitarist ever, not named Randy Rhoads. Still some days I prefer Criss. They’re both 1A and 1B in my book.
@lxuxrxcxh that's right
i dont know anyone that likes this band either , even my metalhead friends, wich is wierd
Savatage is amazing
Bruno Alves, make them listen more lol
Yeah, guess they used the solo in the other song and dumped this, a pity I think, the song is a blast.
Sharkie Holland exactly. This is from 1980 recording
where can i download this or any other unreleased song? this is really awesome
@MetalGuitar4Ever what part?
yeah, they used this solo on "Follow Me"... not a BAD decision, but, it is akward to hear it hear and then there...
Thx.. but I aimed for a higher sound quality MP3.
You mention Savatage on Rock Band, where can I get those?
sounds like it came from the gutter ballet Era
Charles Benson No it doesn't.
Not at all. Sounds just like the era it came from
Fucking hell
Well there's all kinds of Metal maybe that's why your friends didn't like them,
some People only liked Thrash back then.
LORDGOAT1976, Classical Heavy Metal🤘🏻
This and Target are Gutter Ballet demos.
xk319 this was recorded in the early 80’s. 1980 to be exact
