Nice point but they also have lots of Visual comedy happenning in expressions, costumes and actions. Nevertheless I do give them (OSR) a decent benefit of understanding quite more then we expect them to. They have surprised me many times in noticing very minute things for example Govinda holding it back to not upstage Big B in the songs....and Even the strings playing behind in many songs. They have got used to contextual and between the words kind of content. Let them go ahead please. There is a vast treasure for them to decipher and know.
Not many people know and You must not have recognized the actress playing opposite Amitabh Bachchan in this film is Shivgami from the film Baahubali portrayed by Ramya Krishnan. She was new that time In Hindi film industry.

I have read and heard that he was very very ungrateful and downright on purpose oblivious to Kadar Khan's contribution to his success. Kadar Khan has hinself admitted to this citing examples. Felt very bad hearing him emote. Anyway we are here only looking at his acting prowess which we all love. And yes wish he had more then 2 movies with Govinda. Would have been a treat. Only this one and Hum are the ones which has them together.

Govinda's cheesiness was really subtle I feel. When compared to other actors, he used to do stuff that was not 'appropriate for a bollywood "HERO", like what you saw at the end of this song, that was totally unnecessary but only Govinda would have seen the opportunity to sneak it in and pull it off. He used to do such subtle stuff that made him unique and funny. I just love this man to the core.

Hey Hello . I felt Hatya should be the 2nd or 3rd movie they watch of his. It has amazing songs also. His emotional acting can also be seen in Swarg which is an amazing entertainer. But first movie should be Hero no 1 or Shola aur shabnam so that they get under his skin and then see how much more he can do. Even Deewana Mastana is a cute funny movie of his. Dulhe Raja should come much later as it is very Indian / Desi comedy.

Many more. Shola aur shabnam, Swarg, Ek aur ek Gyarah, Hatya, Jodi No 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Khudgarz, Dariya Dil, Jaisi karni waisi Bharni, Hero no 1, Hum, Khuddar, Joru kaa Ghulam.

Govinda made some bad choices in the new mileniyam, cinema was changing Gen Y was going in with the new wave , Gen X was losing its charm in Govinda , and Govinda was selling oil on Television.

Govinda can do dramatic roles but he did so much comedy films that it was stuck with him and when he tried to comeback he made fryday,other one which even I forgot name which looks like b grade movie and there is another one. Now he should do versatile roles and he can comeback in limelight,in audience eye ( present Govinda) .He should leave the heroic roles but can do lead roles
Amazing depiction. Although I do not agree with the line "Govinda is no more". He just needs one good chance to come back with an amazing team and a big banner. Also it will help if he and David Dhawan can come together again forgetting their differences. He can be back with a bang. He still has a few years of main lead in him and roles should be written to justify him. Hope someone takes the lead before its too late. We are loosing out on great potential scope of entertainment.

1:20 Yes Corbin you are correct, he is Udit Narayan, who you always recognize as SRK voice, however Udit was all over in the 90s and early 2000s. Pick songs for any actor at that time, you will find his voice. For Govinda he has been singing since mid 80s.

A film featuring Govinda with Viju Sha as music composer hasn't happened much. But this one was rocking.
In Bade Miya Chote Miya, Amitabh actually told the Director that he feels he can't match Govinda in terms of his comic timing and should he move out of the film? Talks a lot about Govinda's calibre.

Govinda's films had so much Indianness, it's astonishing. I think when casting Govinda, they created his characters to be from diverse parts of India rangingfrom North to South and he nailed the accent and mannerisms every time. All other actors used to play a an average Indian guy but Govinda always had a quirky accent, or some mannerism that was different and enjoyable. For me he is one of the best things that happened to bollywood. For starters watch Shola or Shabnam, it's a great film with good comedy and songs. This was the film where he really took up comedy and gave alot of comedic hits after it. Before this, in the 80s the main theme in films used to be dramatic.
I love Govinda as a hero only for this.
Everything Govinda did at this time was a super hit. He was on the peak of his success. He was getting so famous that BigB HAD to do this film with him. Imagine the craze man😅

Govinda is only single one star who have a great grace dance moves with lyrics and music and his act very high level.
I started regularly watching Indian movies in 2010 and only saw my first Govinda movie last year lol honestly you guys are doing great! I have seen only a few Govinda movies, but from what I've seen I would recommend *Coolie no1* , it's a classic and you can really see his talent at comedy, also it has Karishma Kapoor and KADER KHAN. I didn't even know Kader Khan until last year when I saw Coolie and omg his acting and comic timing are wonderful! He was also a screenwriter. I think you'll love him.
Then I would recommend *Bade Miyan Chote Miyan* with Big B, I feel like it's a bit underrated. I quite liked it!
Can't predict Govinda only 3 and 5 movies . He acted 165 movies with different types of role. He is top 5 actors of bollywood of all-time. Govinda is guaranteed of blockbuster movies . He is not working present time because of nepotism and fraud and cheat of many actors and directors who were made superstar by second role of govinda movie .
