Find a more humane way to kill the octopus. Not stabbing it repeatedly with no care. I'm an angler myself so I understand the need to make bait but you do it with respect and not like that. Science has proven that octopus feel emotional and physical pain. Just be more respectful and minimize the suffering.
Yes we do flip there heads but still takes long for them to die... Most guys just flip and they crawl around for hours if u looked properly we flip afterwards to make sure.. If there is a better way please in lighten by all means.
One bite between the eyes and it's done or if you can't do that then just squeeze the head below the eyes between you thumb and index finger like a circle and then rip the head off or cut it off.

Its a old tip section from a fishing rod fitted with a 8/0 j hook some red cloth wrapped above the hook winngripp as a handle lol, lekker light weight
Remove 2 tentacles and release....they grow back!!!!!
