- Hello everyone. My name is CCG88, and welcome to episode 66 of the Refurbished Logo Evolution series.
American International is one of my favourite long-gone film studios, and I've always wanted to do an RLE of them, so here we go.
This took some time to render. In fact, it took 4 attempts to render. This 4th time took over 6 hours to render, but surely, it was worth it.
Thank you all for your patience. I didn't want to disappoint you with a small episode, so here's a lengthy episode.

For the TV side, the 1968 American International Television logo was also seen in “Gamera” movies like “Destroy All Planets”, “War of the Monsters” and more.
There were only a few logos missing from this episode including more superimposed logos from “Beach Party”, “Muscle Beach Party”, and “Beach Blanket Bingo”.
There was also one missing is the closing variant which was seen at the end of “Meteor” where it says “Released by American International” instead of “An American International Release” where it used the old “Capitol AI” from 1968 which was underneath the text.

As of Now.. American International Pictures has been Relaunched by MGM as a Label to Release Movies that have a Limited Release.
The First AIP Film in 40 Years will be "Breaking News in Yuba County", which will be Released in 2021.
AIP had so many logos over the years.
The logo at 10:37 came from “The Terror”, 16:10 is the logo and the fanfare which was later stolen from Trans American Films. Instead of the Capitol building, it replaced with the USA. I don’t get it. Here is what it looks like. The logo will appear after the Something Weird and Vidcrest logos.

18:38 is what it considered as the “Round Guy With Surfboard” logo according to what it says in a MST3K episode.
29:07 is from “Truck Turner” with Isaac Hayes, and it was one of the AIP films that it doesn’t used the Capitol Building anymore in the middle of a circle of the top left, and it’s the “Round Guy With Surfboard” logo.
32:20 is the one from “Meteor”, “Mad Max” and “The Amityville Horror” that used the black background instead of the sky, and still uses the “Round Guy With Surfboard” logo.
Another interesting about AIP is not only that, beside a TV production company, they had a record label, and I kid you not. Read here:

And don’t forget this one at 12:24 is the fanfare which was later used for American International Television from 1963-67.

The American International Pictures returned in 2021 and had the Byline "An MGM Company"
But it is no animated.

But, I have seen an animated variant of the logo on TR3X’s Logos From 2021 video.
Just to let know, MST3K had 33 films made by AIP throughout its initial run, and one of those moments was the 1973 AIP logo with a black background instead of the sky as seen in “The Incredible Melting Man”, and he was referring to as “Round Boy With Surfboard International”. That was funny.
Just as a reminder, MST3K stands for Mystery Science Theater 3000.

19:23 That was actually the premiere date, as there is the “(Los Angeles)” in the release date. Meaning that it was premiered in Los Angeles on April 14th 1971. The April 28th date is the actual release of the film.
American International also made The Amityville Horror.

I’m going to miss this series and I appreciate that you wanna have some time to yourself but I didn’t think this terrible “bloody hell” of a year was going to get to your logo interests and Surely I’m going to miss them. Well have a good time to yourself CCG88 you deserve it.
I hope he will give up his series by year’s end. He’s is going to focus on other things beside movie, TV and home video logos. Other users has done other logo histories and evolutions of every single logo to go through.

@@patche Eh, I would do a logo history series, but nah it's too well known, I used to record such logos sometimes so rare in the TV ah good moments, now Ion focus on logos now in nature content and soon will be launching a series for adults
