    My hubby is African (I'm white European).
    When we invited my mom to come with us on holiday,she was like "I don't know if I can be patient living in a tent." Emmmm....mom...we live in a city that doesn't differ from yours unless in the colors and tastes.
    What struck me as well was that other white people (my own people!) would sometimes even give hateful comments on me:
    "She is just with him because her vagina needs it." Seriously?!! You say that about a woman who is happily married for 16 years??
    "You only took in him because he was homeless and you felt sorry for him. Once he has stolen all your money, he'll be gone." Well, people, he is earning the money and I'm enjoying being a home mum, so he is spending everything on me, not the way around.
    Africans have all welcomed me and accepted me. It was my own people refusing to accept us. Except for my parents, my entire family dropped me. Even my own siblings refuse to talk to me or be in the same surrounding. I am the shame of the family.
    I may have lost family, but I also found a new one. Asante sana❤

      Yes, they purposely had! I've been to Africa all over the country, and people do have internet places to shop and have roads. I wish some certain "races" stopped judging because of what the United States has said about these countries. That's who has been saying the negative things about Africa!
      People need to get out of their comfort zone and quit thinking that we got the best of the best where in America were actually behind on a lot of stuff.
      But I actually got quite a bit of some folks saying very disrespectful things. How are you going to talk about a place that you have never been to before but you're going to listen to someone on a corrupted news 2:16.

    • @benjaminsmith2287
      @benjaminsmith2287 11 місяців тому +14

      @@monakeulen5622 There's a problem with this statement. "African" education would imply the whole continent of 54 countries, some of them quite diverse from each other, have the same education. Is there such a thing as "Asian eduation" or North American education? You have exceptional people coming from Nigeria, Ghana and other African countries that want to take advantage of the opportunities. Hence, they do well in schools. Some aspects of education are on a high level in some parts of some countries but lacking in others.
      I'm finding there's still a tendency for people to think African as something uniform and not diverse, like in other continents. That's something that needs to change.

    Being stupid and or ignorant is no reason the hate someone. We are all stupid and ignorant about something. Satire and humor is the best way to deal with it with out spreading more stupidity and ignorance. I am white South African so I am not as ignorant as those Tik-tokers. During Apartheid it was almost as if we did not live in Africa we were so ignorant about our black brothers and sisters. So when the Tik-tokers are made to look stupid I have a laugh but I do feel a bit stupid as well.
