You are the first Raycon reviewer I've seen that has actually gotten the difference between ANC mode and Awareness mode correct!!

Thanks for another great review Sam. They do look like fine products. I have found that most earbuds just don't work with my ears. No matter what gel ear plugs I use they just end up falling out of my ears and alwasys at the worst time and are very difficult if not impossible to find. I've given up on all earbuds in favor of bone conducting headsets. I currently have Shockz Open Runner Pro that are working well for me. Of course the sound quality of bone conducting speakers can't match high quality buds or phones, but the Shckz were well enought for me. If I need noise cancellation I go for headphones. I have two over the ear headphones (AKZ and Bose) that work great. If I was in the market for a new set of headphones I'd give the Raycons a try.

I have a personal problem, and that is that style, won't stay in My ear. I have hearing aids that have custom inserts and they have to be constantly "pushed" back in. More to say but, I'd just be whining!

I thought the quality on the headphones was so much better, definitely making me consider trying out headphones again.

Guys, I got the raycon everyday earbuds and they really don't sound great. For watching videos and listening to audio books they're okay, but they sound really tinny and music doesn't sound great. I had earbuds from 5 below that sounded better.

I think we all experience music differently leading to different opinions on the quality. I have them and the over the ears and I think they are solid for my tastes (I listen to it all but primarily dancehall reggae and hip hop).
I will say that the majority of my music listening is on an old ipod touch.

@@dmac5472the earbuds are only Bluetooth. Descriptive audio equipment use an aux / 3.5mm jack. I have a Logitech headset that uses an USB C and all I needed was an adapter to convert it aux and lightning.

For me, one determining factor is the headphones have the option to use an aux port. I’m going to Disney Workd next week and their descriptive audio device only has a 3.5 headphone jack/aux.

Sam, this was something I've been wondering about for a while. I've been using the Racon ear buds for years, and they've been great. I hadn't heard of the headphones, though, so this was a great introduction.
My problem with ear buds is always getting them to fit in my ears so they don't allow for air gaps and sound quality disruption. But I don't dare take ear buds outside. One of them will definitely pop out and go into the nearest sewer.
My headphones choice has been Sony WHCH-520. They seem to have the same features and qualities as the Racon headphones, but for far less cost. Also, is there an app or Alexa skill for either of the Racon devices?

Thanks Sam that was a great review. I think I want to get some of the headphones like you. I have difficulties with touch services and would much rather a button one question I did have and I don’t know if you’ve had a chance to check it out or not, but can you pair the headphones to multiple devices that’s one of the things I would really like to be able to do is have us Pair to a phone pair to an iPad pair to my computer and then choose what I wanna connect to and try to do that with other devices and I lose the ability to connect at all to the previous devices so that would be helpful to know thanks again, Sam

Yep, headphones. The physical button would have sold me on the buds, but since they nixed it, I'd rather have the bulky headgear than the frustrating touch control.

I like physical buttons as well. There is another reason why I’d prefer the headphones that everyone hasn’t picked up on. It’s important for us VIP’s. For me, one determining factor is the headphones have the option to use an aux port. I have yet to come across a descriptive audio device that has Bluetooth or a USB C port. They all still use the 3.5 headphone jack, better known as and aux.

Looking forward to the review. I have owned the Everyday Headphones and a previous version of the everyday earbuds from 2022. I got the headphones 1st in July 2022. Based on a good experience w them I got the earbuds in sept of the same yr. I got the everyday speaker last yr(2023)

When I saw that the new everyday buds dropped in May, I read up on them and liked the improvements..but I too prefer buttons to touch controls. Honestly, if I did want to replace these earbuds(they have been scratched up ALOT during mulitple drops), I might try to wait until Raycon does their throwback sales. Periodically they will sell older product at discounted prices. I really really prefer buttons. I guess not having the buttons does allow for a better IP rating?

I prefer earbuds with a tether between them, and I think most VIP would agree. Inevitably an earbud will dislodge, and with a tether that is no big deal. I tried a pair without a tether once, but it was soon lost. Also, I do not like earbuds with air-tight silicone ear fittings - they remind me of when I was a kid and had "water in the ear" after swmming. My favorite earbus of all time are the Google Pixel 2 buds that I still use, but they no longer retain a charge reliablbly. I'd like to replace them with something similar and would welcome recommendations.

Agree with the tether. I like wireless but earbuds are lost once they pop out - like can’t find them or they plop in the sink when washing dishes! 😖

There are descriptive audio devices that only use an aux / 3.5 jack. Thats why the headphones interest me, but I recently got a wired Logitech headset from Voc Rehab. All I needed was an adapter from USB to aux and another USB C to lightning.
