Publishing to folders is a huge change to proper report organization. Now if we could also get a proper way to organize tables in PBI into folders like we can in PowerQuery.

Right path, some steps needed in the presentation. If dont show all the functionalites, some prints dont hurt.

OK , in power bi releases there are things to be proud of for sure but there are others that should be introduced with an apology for not being there to begin with and taking long time to establish. One of those features is the support for folder structure in the Power BI service. I mean for god sake how many people have already asked for this for so long and its not something that should be called an "idea" specially when the folder structure is as old as windows 95! I think power BI developers and promoters in Microsoft should put their ego aside and learn something form their own history and own products and they dont have to look to far if they just look to SSRS which support folder structure since its creation and still ahead of power bi bysupporting conditional formatting on every freaking property which by the way a lot of people have been asking for for so long.
This is great but I have a recommendation. This all might make sense to you all but to us, even intermediate users, is full of just words. If you spent the same amount of time just showing examples, it would SOOOOOOOOO much more value.
Super excited to see the what the Matrix layout enhancement has for us.
Question: The analyze in Excel is always a pivot because of how the data model is set up. Is it possible to just get the raw data as a table in a sheet instead of pivot? Pivots generally take long to load. And often gets difficult to work with. I understand the limitations that come from the data model but just putting it out there.
There is something that needs to be adjusted in the publish routine. As some people mentioned, when you try to publish a report, the button to publish doesn't appear. You have to press ESC (because there is no Cancel) and try again. Only this time the publish button will appear. Also, the progress window is glued to the select workspace previous window, giving me the impression that it was not supposed to be like this. Any chance a quick fix in the next few days?

"Select" and "Cancel" buttons missing in "Publish to Power BI Service." 4:06
@MicrosoftPowerBI: Facing the same issue as this. Workaround is pressing esc on the publishing pane and then clicking the publish button again.
Press Escape on your keyboard.
@@simeontodorov9353 Thank you! I did press esc, then again Publish the buttons did appear.
I had the same problem and found solution here. Maybe not the best solution from Microsoft to remove buttons but will hopefully be fixed for next update.
@@jarkkotarnanen7949 The issue seems linked to the "Publish to Folder" preview implementation.
Also, the greyed-out list of datasets adds to the confusion making end-user think that the workspace has not been selected.

What's the advantage of all those On-Object Interaction Updates? When I see 1 menu (e.g. the pane with visualisation types) multiple times in one screen? For me, it makes it just more a mess, than it helps me create useful reports. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Power BI fan but not on this part.

Why do you always present it in the most theoretical and boring way??? So difficult to actually show what you are talking about???
The main reason why they do not show everything anymore is because it makes the video extremely long.
@@esmereldakrugel5790 oh come on not the manual but at least some edited snippets of what we're talking about. All they need is good video editor, guess it's not something unreachable for Microsoft

The map has not been working on our production and development sides since this morning. I've tried using different browsers, but the issue persists. Could this be related to the May 2024 release?

Congrats power bi developer & promoters at Microsoft for figuring out that people can organize their reports in a folder structure!!! An idea that was established at microsoft since Windows 95.
Indian power bi there have no option to export in PowerPoint as a like power bi web services

Why you keep removing demos? Demos for the new features are the purpose of doing a video! Why having someone just read exactly what’s on the blog post 🤦🏻♂️
I’m glad you are improving the native visuals. You should add more machine learning functionalities: improve forecast, make predictions with data, continue with visuals like key influencers etc.

I totally agree! We do not want to see powerpoint slides on functionality for the entire duration of the update. More live demos of the functionality please! I used to look forward to the update videos !
