Whoa Nelley, 1969 and might be out of time. Yup, that thing is like the Green Hornet. LOL. Let's just say it's "unique". I can deal with the funky paint job, but the hydraulics and all of that jazz ruined it. We got the VIN, we win: L for Sedan DeVille six window, 9 for 1969 model year and the rest is the production sequence. Cadillacs of this vintage were typically assembled at Clark Street, Detroit, MI. That plant closed in December 1987 and a two-hour video of the plant in operation in late 1987 can be found on YT. This car would have a 472 V8 with four barrel (of course, Cadillac produced) backed by a THM400 three speed automatic transmission. You surely made it in the world in 1969 if you owned a Cadillac. We got the tag, we can brag: ST69 for 1969 model year, 68369 for Cadillac (6) Sedan DeVille (83) four door six window (69), FWD for Fleetwood Body plant, West End Ave, Detroit, MI with final assembly at Clark Street, 351 for Black smooth and Ostrich Grain leather interior, 1010 for Sable Black lower and upper exterior paint (the trunk was painted white, but appears to be original), 06D for the fourth week of June 1969 production, E for Soft Ray tinted glass, Y for six-way power seat and K for air conditioning. Whoa Nelley, 472 and it's over for you. THM400 and gotta go. That's it, time to quit. Painted green and used to look mean. Green like a grasshopper, this one turned into a flopper. 1969 and used to be fine. Going to be flat and that's that. Body by Fleetwood and now it ain't no good. Made at Clark Street and now in defeat. Going to get squished and all the Cadillac faithful, maybe Benny, several people here, and yup, the Google Man are going to be very, very, very, very pissed.
As many times as I've tried to lay hands on a '68-'72 SDV, there's always been what I call a "glitch"...this time, the car is half across the country. Yeah, if this one succumbs to the crusher, I'll be pissed.
It must've looked super cool twenty years ago. Now, it needs a lot of help. Wonder how long it's been sitting without that carb! It's a good base for a project, but it's a wiring nightmare. It's best to throw it out and start over! Or try getting rid of the mods. You should get a video on the cool ambulance back there Benny! It could be your next shop van!
A buddy of mine had a 70 in seafoam green with a two pump setup when we were kids but with the stock interior. I'm guessing this one had a four pump setup by the solenoids.
My first thought when I saw this car was that "Billy" from the Toby Halicki "Gone on 60 Seconds" (the ORIGINAL Gone in 60 Seconds", the REAL "Gone in 60 Seconds") would have loved this car. It would have been a huge step up from his battered white Sedan DeVille for him and his joint-smokin' homies!
It ain't easy being green!!! I wonder if someone would be interested. Custom colors don't usually appeal to anyone except the guy who picked it originally.
I had a 68 and loved it. I’m betting there’s all kinds of dirt down in that motor so at best you are looking at a rebuilt. As messed up as that wiring probably is you are looking at replacing it all. If they gave me $50.00 I’d toll it off the lot for them
I dont think i have the correct fur coat or feathered hat to drive that car, i do have the cane though. Too bad about the skirts, those are important for the overall look of the car. I think the price is good if you can tolerate the interior long enough to get it redone in a more retina friendly color.
Yes thats a reasonable price in spite of the obnoxious paint. A Cadillac is always worth something. The pillared hardtop c body also appears as a 98 luxury sedan and as a top tier Electra in 69 and 70. I owned a 69 cdv years ago. and
I have the carburetor for that engine it came off a 1970 Cadillac sedan deville, that was the only thing my Dad kept because they are 850 CFM i believe so they are sought after.

I always thought that the Buick 225 was a better ride than the Cadillac.
@@garymckee8857 They're both nice riding cars.
Red steering column with green interior was an obvious choice😂👍💚

That was actually a converted food truck/van thing 😄
@@ClassicRideSociety Well, that just makes making a video on it all the more worthwhile! Maybe it can be YOUR own food truck! 😄

It seems like old-school cars don't get much love these days
It’s worth snatching up and finishing
It would be a hot seller in Ireland 😊
Yeah, if you had the money and the time.
To be sure ☘️

It's in my favorite color and it's a 4 door even better for carrying girls around 😂😂

Heres a good one for yah that car look and reminds me of the Geeen lantern 😂..
Benny, I love that 69 Sedan De Ville. nice and roomy inside. good for a daily driver.
Roomy it is. And floats down the road. Well maybe not this one with the lowrider suspension
@@ClassicRideSociety Benny, it looks like a Fleetwood with that roofline
Benny and the jets that car is destroyed with the hydraulic garbage and that ugly green interior and outside looks like it came from the hood.

Wiring looks light a nightmare.
Agreed
Car is nicknamed Kermit.
That would definitely would fit it

I had a friend who had a 69 Coupe Deville convertible, and you had to think where curbs were because they are so long and l am used to large vehicles.
1970 is the last year for the DeVille convertible, so that one would have been a keeper.
A mean green machine.
What's up Benny?
Nothing much
Hey Benny...where did you shoot this video?...I'm interested in the Ford ambulance that you can see near the green caddy at the end of the video...
This was at Pick n Pull in Ft Worth
GREAT STYLE IN ITS DAYS BUT NOT GREEN AND NOW THE PRICE NOW $2299 ???? HUMMMM.. I DONT THINK SOOOO..BUT THANKS..
Mr. B. Here ! So sad to see what they did to that vehicle ! ⚰️🧟♀️⚰️🧟♀️⚰️🧟♀️
I once had a 69
Caddy back in the day. It had a 472 in
By the way what engine is in that one?
472
Worth fixing or using parts sadly pick n pull over prices the “builder” cars they usually never sell and get crushed. RIP Green Machine
My God I wouldn't pay $22.99
What a heap
Would make a great demo derby car tho & it's already painted like 1
😄
Lol 2.99 sold 🤣
Still have hydrolics?
Missing the pumps, dumps, and batteries
I whould not pay $299 for this Green Monster.
In its day must have felt like a mob boss to riding that thing.
The Incredible Hulk.
my like
Wheres ur location
It's at Pick n Pull in Ft Worth Texas
It would sell in the original condition but as it stands she’s on death row
They'd probably want more for it then
@@ClassicRideSociety yeah like twice as much or more for someone to buy and turn into what it is now
Looks like the Astrodome on wheels.Yikes!
Maybe change that 2 to a 1 and they might find a buyer 😅
If it sits there long enough they might go for it
What did you come across benny you found the snOt Rocket and i MEan SNOTTY haaaa😂
😄 👍
pobre cady 😭
Someone's pimp ride ended up in a junkyard...or they liked GTA San Andreas a bit too much🤔
A real prize 😂 I think they are on crack. They would need to pay me to take it away 😅
I will give 300 and one dolla.
2200. Not running. Wont be any takers. Will probably end up in the yard.
I agree. Have to wait and see
Too much money. No telling what that car needs.
A carburetor for starters. This one might end up out in the yard for parts
Sheesh what a weird paint job Benny wouldn't you say this wouldn't be your cup of tea in choice of car colors?
😄 I actually like green but not sure about this one
@@ClassicRideSociety so you're saying maybe a nice hunter green or a nice dark green would be the perfect choice to go with for this car?
Way too much. Give it a decent burial
That thing wouldn't sell first the price it high in not good condition in need lot work
The color is ugly miss parts
It going end up for parts
I would agree it'll probably end up in the yard for parts
Hard pass
🤮
Caddy shack needs lots of ❤❤ it could be someone dream with lots of $$$ and care.🚍🚔🚘69 was a year of wreckon.
Funny thing is the engine alone is worth more than what they are asking for it, $$$ 472 = 375 hp. stock.
