Dude, this is insane, I have a 7 year old moto g7 phone that is dying (I already bought a new phone, it should arrive this week), the power button is broke, so I can only turn it on with my fingerprint (which means I can never turn it off!). Lately it's been worse because my phone is too slow so it just decides to turn off when I have a couple of apps open. So what happens is that I gotta do the fastboot reboot on it... This time it broke in the middle of my Uber trip, so I had to ask for someone to get me a Uber back home and I paid them.. Anyway, I needed my phone and I didn't have my Windows with me (which I used for doing the reboot), I only had my Mac. So I found your video and it helped me a lot! The only thing is that for Morotola, we need to install the Motorola driver and my macOS Sonoma wasn't accepting the driver because it's too old. So I allowed it to install through terminal (then I disabled this option again because it's not safe to let Mac install things like this) and did your tutorial aand my phone just booted and it's working now! Also, if you happen to have your power button messed up too, here's a tip. Press the volume down button and put the cable (connected to your MacOS) until it shows a picture of the Android logo lying down being fixed and the options on the screen. When you see this screen, use the commands "fastboot reboot" on the terminal while using ADB and the phone should restart back to normal.
Thanks so much bro, appreciate it, I have another question, I would like to lock the bootloader, here's the command I use: ./fastboot flashing lock, my phone could pop out the option to choose whether to lock the bootloader, I select yes but the the phone still in unlock mode, do you have any idea about it?
Thanks for the great video. Worked even better than my HP Laptop with windows 11.

Hi
So, how can i flash android custom rom using a Mac ?
cd and the rom after installing the platform tools?
You can only use adb sideload
My Mac M2 does not recognized device in fastboot mode
This is only for intel macs brother.
* failed to start daemon
adb: failed to check server version: cannot connect to daemon
OSX el capitan didnt work
I think its not working because of your MacOs version.
it keep saying zsh permission denied. at the fastboot part
Please watch the video properly if you are facing a particular problem Google it. I hope you have found your solution.
