Coach youve covered almost every basic thing there is regarding graplling and ive learnt tonnes from you and follow you regularly as well. One thing that ive been trying to search for so long but cant find anywhere on youtube is ground and pound defense. Not from mount. But from guard. Because in most ground amd pounds of top fighters in ufc or onechampionship one fighter is usually blasting punches and the other fighter despite of having him in his guard cant seem to do anything about it. Usually the position involves both the feet posting the floor (one straight and other bent) and he is constantly throwing punches. It would be huge if you would somehow make a video on it with all possible outcomes like you always do (esp like the one video you made in which you were defending the shirt grab)
And yes there are a few videos that show that when the opponent pulls you bring your guard close to ypu and hug him but mostly this isnt practical as the top fighter is stacking the opponent while maintaining a proper base AND throwing punches (eg till vs woodley or most fights of yusuf raisov)
Actually follow this account its the new youtube channel. However I tend to steal a lot from Teach Me Grappling. Brian's channel is lot more fun to watch.
Cant wait to try the sweep variation, btw are you familiar with the ocotopus guard/half guard? It reminds me of a wrestling reversal but i forgot the name so here is an example from ea ufc: ua-cam.com/video/TS-Tvjr6-XI/v-deo.htmlm19s
Frater is a cool guy that loves his students, very good coach..

Love this breakdown. I think under the 10th planet system, we call this the sneaky kamikaze. Not 100% sure though
Jeff Frater is the best kept secret in martial arts!

When the opponent punches you*
Punch block defense series. Stages 1-4 Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
Good vid gonna try this on the crew😁
Fantastic! I love it when creative people get into fight sports.
Super slick, definitely adding this
that. was. cool.
Some kick ass shit 😂😂 you’re a ducking legend
This is great. Thanks. Could you slow it down a bit and get closer for the details in future vids.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Awesome, was always wondering how guys in UFC end up in full guard while passing 👌
yeh your move always so fancy ! haha thanks
So cool
nice
What stops the sweep once the left foot is locked inside the guard?
My guess... a good crossface
@@JonathanHebert in what way?
But it will work only in opponent position "on back". If he is lying on side, it will be a problem to get your foot under...
A good crossface to keep him on his back
Does Jeff have a UA-cam channel?
Never mind, I found it lol. It's Frater8 if anyone is looking as well.
