When I was a 12 years old playing MK 9 I hated everything about Baraka and the Tarkatans.
Nowadays as a 22 years old I can't help but smile whenever I see the guy, all thanks to MK 11.
He's just so freaking cool and I can't express how happy I am for him being preset in MK 12.

Baraka got such a huge upgrade in MK11, with such a great voice and dark & cynical humor. To refer to that great quote from Doctor Who's Daleks, Baraka's mild annoyance in the intros makes it seem as if he's thinking "this is not kombat, this is pest control!"

Same here. Though I don't play the game too much, I'm constantly watching videos of the intros and a lot of them live in my head rent-free. I also like a lot of the new voices (especially Kano's).
I like that Baraka has some decent conversations with some of them, like Jade for example. He's not a nice guy, but when he respects you, it's obvious.

God I always love any role Steve Blum is in. He did amazing as Boraicho and Reptile on MK X, Sub Zero in X and 11 and Baraka in 11. The best VA ever.

The most likely case was that the Tarkatans had absolutely no idea how to use them.
They have a different body shape kinda, and their arms probably feel a pain due to holding an unfamiliar thing (A gun), and their arm blades could accidentally break the guns.

I prefer her MKX design. This one is just too creepy.
Mkx designs are generally horrible with the exception of few like tremor, goro, revenant kitana, revenant sub zero
