I mean it, Dylan would be dropped at the orphanage by that 3rd night… but enjoy this reaction gang! Freddy vs Jason coming your way soon!! Patreon will have the full reaction (with the movie included) in less than 48 hours!! Much love- Cole
to answer your question no, Freddy Vs Jason Doesnt Acknowledge this film, its basically its own thing. freddy vs jason is set after the events of freddys dead, and in the friday the 13th timeline takes place after jason goes to hell
Basically all cross over movies are Basically their own thing. Because if they where not it would mess with the separate movie franchises. They may have elements of certain movies but that's it. Because if they were connected an officially part of the timelines. The separate movie franchises timelines an events would be a mess. Because for example how would you carry over the events of Freddy vs Jason. In a say new Nightmare on Elm Street movie or Friday the 13th movie. With only one of those characters in it. So cross overs are basically generally always their own separate things. To preserve the movie franchises separate timelines. They are basically like those Batman vs Superman discussions.
There's a short fan film on youtube starring Miko Hughes (Dylan) reprising his role from this movie. It's sort of a sequel to this film and it's surprisingly well made. Worth checking out. It's called Dylan's New Nightmare: A Nightmare on Elm St fan film.
1,3 and 7 are my favorites. Because for me, the core story has always been Freddy and Nancy. Part one was Nancy as a kid trying to save her friends, and she failed. Part three was an older Nancy as a mentor trying to save other kids and she failed. Part seven is Nancy (Heather) as a mother herself now trying to save her own child and she finally succeeds and conquers the evil. That's just my take on it. And notice that all three of the films Wes was involved with featured Nancy. So it's obvious she was his heroine, his Final Girl. Great reaction, as always. Peace, brother.
Ah, Miko Hughes. From Pet Sematary, to Full House (that's right, he was in Full House), to Kindergarten Cop, to New Nightmare... The guy's had quite a career.
This movie was my actual nightmare as a kid bc I thought Freddy was real and this movie just cemented that thought 😂 As an adult, I really appreciate it and love the return of Wes and Heather! So glad u enjoyed it and actually took the time to analyze it. 🖤
If you liked this one, you should see Dylan's New Nightmare, which is essentially an unofficial sequel to this one where Miko Hughes plays the same role but he's an adult now haunted by Freddy (the actor that plays Freddy is soooo good, it's not Robert England but much better than the remake Freddy)
Hughes is coming back in an upcoming horror sequel! I'm not kidding! I looked it up, and it says he's been cast as a character named Tom Wilson in The Conjuring: Last Rites (that's right, the franchise is back with a fourth main film)!
So many cameos and Easter eggs in this movie. The guy Bob that Heather talks to in the New Line Cinema building, is Bob Shaye, who founded the company. He’s the brother of Lin Shaye, who played the teacher in the first Nightmare and starred in the Insidious franchise. Also there’s some more cameos in the funeral scene like at 10:47, you see the actor who played Tina’s boyfriend in the first Nightmare. Johnny Depp even said that he would’ve made a cameo if he was asked but Wes Craven didn’t because he didn’t have the courage to
@@tentoesdownchristianity I appreciate that so much!! Thank you for the love and watching along with me 🙏 And I agree, this Freddy looked very sinister
Wes wrote this movie for Heather to star in. The premise of keeping the demon in was Wes’ nightmare. So he tried to find a way to contain in (his dream) and this is a symbol of that. Wes was a funly dark person
When Heather elbowed the nurse she didn’t pull back in enough time and she actually elbowed the actress. So when she stumbled away she was in actual pain
By the way, you should definitely check out the fan film Dylan’s New Nightmare when you’re finished with Freddy vs Jason, Cole. It basically the “unofficial” sequel to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare that takes place around 25-30 years after this movie. The actor who plays Dylan reprises his role as an adult and the actor they got to play Freddy is actually fantastic! There’s also some cool cameos from actors within the Friday the 13th movies in it as well. It’s definitely one of the best fan films I’ve ever seen in the past 10 years. You won’t regret it!
Probably my favorite nightmare movie after the first one :) i love the idea of wes making the nightmare movies to trap the demon/entity in the franchise
Miko Hughes (Dylan) has quite the resume at such young age. Before this, he did Kindergarten Cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger. And later he did Mercury Rising with Bruce Willis.
“Pick a pet for the rugrat, bitch!” Glad you liked the movie, Cole and now you understand why Scream became such a thing. It’s definitely one of the most meta horror films ever but at the same time, there is a small amount of realism there and it’s technically not apart of Elm Street films as a whole per say. It’s more or a less a standalone movie but with tons of callbacks. Even the musical score acts as a callback in of itself due to the amount of times we hear the OG Nightmare on Elm Street theme being played throughout. The soundtrack is definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie in all honesty. I know everyone likes the fleshy, bony look of the claws in this movie but in my personal opinion, I liked that mechanical claw a lot more. It just looked so cool. A shame that they never used it again after the opening scene and I remembered that it was in a lot of promo related trailers and tv spots the year the movie came out.
Such a fun movie. Glad you enjoyed. Not sure if you recognized W. Earl Brown, the kind morgue attendant who helped Heather after Chase was killed. He also played Kenny, Gale's cameraman in Scream. A really versatile actor. It's always great to see him pop up in various roles.
I actually really liked this entry and thought it was a super creative movie idea, I’m hyped to see what you think of it! I’m bout to watch the Romulus reaction after cuz I finally watched that too🙏🏽🔥 keep dropping bangers brodie
The part in the movie about Heather getting those creepy phone calls an things in the mail. Was inspired by the fact that Heather was at one point actually getting creepy calls an letters. In the mail she told that to Wes Craven before he wrote this script. But he put it into the movie to a suprised Heather. If you want a nother super meda movie then you should watch the movie. Behind the Mask the rise of Leslie Vernon 2006. Along with the movie Midnight Movie 2008 made sure you add the year when you look. Up Midnight Movie 2008 because lots of movies us the name Midnight Movie.
I love this movie and yes Freddy was huge at the time , he was on lunchboxes and backpacks, he was in music videos. Kids loved him even tho he was from a horror movie ,basically what Art the clown is now, speaking of Art, will you react to Terrifier 3 soon ? It's so good
@@patrickmarques2876 at this moment I am not going to watch and edit for UA-cam but if there is enough desire I can change my mind! I might watch and let the full reaction live on Patreon but right now I don’t have plans to watch it during this marathon
I just finished your 7 episode on the Freddy Krueger movies thanks a lot. What you should watch next is Dylan’s New Nightmare. It’s on UA-cam. It’s what happens next, after Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. Do it. Come on Do it. Come on. Please. Do it. Do it. Do it.
I hate your tittle. Dylan is a sweet sweet boy and he didn’t do anything. The only reason Freddy is after him is because of Heather/Nancy/His mom! Now in Pet Semetary that reaction towards him later in the film is completely acceptable. But I love Dylan. P.S. if you enjoyed this a fan made film starring the young boy was made a few years ago and it’s on YT. Dylan’s New Nightmare! Or maybe drop the new. But yeah. I haven’t seen it but yeah. That exists! 😂😂👍🏾✌🏾
That child got on my nerves this movie I would’ve let Freddy take him lmao. The moment he went on top of the playground I would’ve looked the other way💀. Loved this new look of Freddy and happy to see scary Freddy come back after the over the top Freddy in the last movie. Still weird that it was a demon taking the form of Freddy but still interesting nonetheless. Happy to see Nancy/Heather come back to kick some Freddy’s ass.
I mean it, Dylan would be dropped at the orphanage by that 3rd night… but enjoy this reaction gang! Freddy vs Jason coming your way soon!! Patreon will have the full reaction (with the movie included) in less than 48 hours!! Much love- Cole

It's CRIMINAL that you didn't show Nancy going back into her old house. It's such an iconic scene :)

Love love love Wes Craven`s New Nightmare, and how dare Casey Becker from Scream(1996) to say that it sucked.
Love that movie!!!!!
Casey shouldn't talk about anything. Not with that wig.

Did you notice ROD was at the funeral
I saw this in the theater and we all went nuts when Nancy punched Freddy. Ten years in the making and Heather nailed everything in this movie.
When Heather elbowed the nurse she didn’t pull back in enough time and she actually elbowed the actress. So when she stumbled away she was in actual pain

If you want to see Freddy in an Inception scenario, South Park has an episode. It's called Insheeption
The pre-Scream meta movie.
Little Gage Creed growing up a little bit, and still creepy as hell 😂😂 I was thinking to myself I thought I recognized that little boy
“Pick a pet for the rugrat, bitch!”

I'mma have a whole Thanksgiving spread ready for Freddy vs Jason 🤣🤠

Love that dorky smile 😂
Literally to my rescue as I was scrolling and refreshing 😅
Glad I could help keep you entertained for the night ❤️🙏 I hope you enjoyed!!
Now that the Hansel and Gretel movie is over we finally a be getting Freddy vs jason
Patiently waiting for Freddy vs Jason 😂
The Northridge earthquake happened while they were filming this. The earthquake damage that you see in the background is real.

I still haven't seen this movie yet. But I remember it being kind of the meta introduction to Scream. Going to wait on this vid until I see it.
Ayyeee my favorite of the franchise!! I used to drive my family is insane with this movie when I was 10!! 😂
I really do love this movie despite the little kid. The creepy kid trope was in full swing.
I love this movie and yes Freddy was huge at the time , he was on lunchboxes and backpacks, he was in music videos. Kids loved him even tho he was from a horror movie ,basically what Art the clown is now, speaking of Art, will you react to Terrifier 3 soon ? It's so good
I really want to see Cole react to The Substance. Favorite horror movie of the year.
My favourite Nightmare movies are 1,3 & New Nightmare ! Heather rocks as Nancy xx
This movie scared me as kid
Oooh. You gonna watch the remake? That would be an interesting wrap up to the series.
Kids like Dylan are the reason I don't have kids!
Dylan is the hero. His mom is the only reason Freddy had any connection to Dylan.
This is one of my favorite of the franchise!
Freddy + Inception = Fredception.
Are you watching A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)? The remake?
@@patrickmarques2876 at this moment I am not going to watch and edit for UA-cam but if there is enough desire I can change my mind! I might watch and let the full reaction live on Patreon but right now I don’t have plans to watch it during this marathon
I'm not into horror movies much but this is an awesome movie
1, 3 and New Nightmare float between top pick for me. But after FvJ you sadly have to look at the remake. Apologies, I don't make the rules 😂
11:51 you should work for the NFL. 😂
This is one of my favorites ❤❤❤❤ and Freddy v Jason is good too!
Is this the same little boy actor from Pet Semetary?
Yas king

lmfao FREDWARD!
Their a nightmare on elm street 2010 movie it's a remake of the first movie kinda but with other characters,
I hate your tittle. Dylan is a sweet sweet boy and he didn’t do anything. The only reason Freddy is after him is because of Heather/Nancy/His mom! Now in Pet Semetary that reaction towards him later in the film is completely acceptable. But I love Dylan.

After Freddy vs jason you should watch hatchet
👍🏿👍🏿
New Nightmare is not Freddy at all.
My FAVORITE Nightmare movie!!!!! It was literally the chefs kiss of the entire franchise ❤❤❤
That child got on my nerves this movie I would’ve let Freddy take him lmao. The moment he went on top of the playground I would’ve looked the other way💀. I agree with everything you said 😂 but black trench coat Freddy is 10/10 and should be his look going forward. I loved that
