yeah, idk why Scott was so eager to expose him they're not even yellow yet. i can't think of any benefit it could give them, except if it Scott's task. if anything, the HF should make a blacklist for people to be excluded from the weekly heart dono draws if they've wronged the foundation's members. that way the HF could not only gain support, but also prevent from potentially being wronged. contributing more to the plot armor they're trying to do

As someone who only started watching (and re-watching) Tango this year i can say he always sounds crazy when he's playing Life series.

And he wasn’t healed by the secret keeper or any gifted hearts either! Props to you Tango, what an incredible session with no damage and one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in a while!

Tango went all out with his task lol, it's no surprise he got guessed when he didn't really try to hide it. Made it a really fun episode though, probably the most insane someone has acted in Secret Life so far.
By the way. Tango was right, Martyn already tried to guess Cleos task earlier in the episode

They're not intrusive thoughts. Intrusive thoughts are unwanted and can be very horrible. They say nothing about the person getting them and that's why they're so scary. Sincerely, someone with OCD.
I love how tango read "You have an imaginary friend" and instead of just going "Hey you 3" when theres only 2 other people, goes "I need a puppet and a character that exists in the world"

Tango should keep up the imaginary friend and name a torch Torchy rather than just placing a torch. That way it could become a kryptonite/story device like Pizza in Third Life or the Pandas in Last Life
Tango, it was really sweet of you to give Willie time off from the dungeon and taking him to Secret Life.

Edit: I just realized secret life makes me think of Zedaph because the tasks have a similar feel to Zedvancements, in that you're making up a goal with a silly premise and committing to it fully. Would love to see him in a future life series.

The yellows guess a task thing makes whole session tasks like tangos unreasonably hard for non doubled up tasks.

It's fine, it's hard for them to figure out the exact task, and there aren't consequences for failure anyway

Every time Tango got called out for referring referring himself as multiple, all I could think of was "we are venom" and you can bet I'll be making art
I think Tango really was just naturally talking to torches by the end. He's gonna log on next session and have a conversation with torchy
Secret Task Ideas: 1) Spread a rumor and get at least 2 people to believe it.
2) Don't kill any mobs (according to ststistics) for 50% of the session.
3) Take someone on a date, but don't tell them what's going on.
4) Build a secret base in someone's base without getting caught.
Maybe a hard task could be that you have to spread a rumor that has to be told back to you from someone you haven’t shared the rumor with yourself. Which proves that it has caught on. And the person telling it back to you can't know, or mention, that it was you that started it.

Etho's acumen is scary. He's a scarily perceptive man.
Etho's task was literally to try and make someone fail theirs, which kinda necessitated knowing at least remotely what they were doing, so he was kinda forced to have his radar on high alert this session. If it wasn't for the fact that the rules changed and only yellows could call it out, Etho would've completed it, but getting a yellow to call Tango out for him in a limited time frame (without getting called out himself for that matter) was basically impossible.
@@Ithennait's never been the case where a green could make someone fail their task unless the task specifically required them to not be caught/called out. And people have successfully helped yellows try and guess tasks.
If I had a nickel for every time Tango had a drown that was a lethal threat, I don't know how much I'd have. Cause I'm a new Tango fan and I only know of One Eyed Willie and Life Willie.
He also made a drowned powered iron farm in the past that you might like.

This might have been my favorite Tango episode of any life series. You absolutely killed it at the invisible friend. Your commitment to it was so funny and I loved the other's confusion. A task for the whole session is really hard and you did so well!
I think maybe the best way to not get caught is to read some of the task suggestions in these comments and just do one of them in addition to your actual task

- Give every person 16 dirt
- Build a cobble generator at 4 different bases
- Create an ugly attachment to someone's base without getting caught
- At the start of any new conversation, say the words "I'm not giving away my secret"
- Sneakily follow another player until you are caught
- Build a large dirt structure at spawn, claiming it is for the dirt gods
- Sing to 3 different people
- Offer to gift a heart to 3 people, only to run away when they accept
- Gift a heart to someone below y = 0
- Help 5 people with collecting resources
- Create a basement in someone's house without getting caught
- Convince 3 people to step on a pressure plate they haven't seen you place
- Warn everyone you meet about a trap which does not exist

The sneakily following someone could be fun, but I feel like a time needs to be met, like 10 minutes w/o being caught. Otherwise they could follow them for like 10 seconds, get caught, and turn in the task
I think having to do that for the whole session without a yellow guessing is in the realm of “hard” rather than normal. There should have been a time limit I think. Just my opinion.

personal headcannon, because Tango is so often drawn with fire for hair, Torchy is the fire part of Tango separated for an episode
on another note this was a very fun episode, enjoyed it a lot
LORE: Tango is not insane. Torchy is Tango's nephew/niece or little cousin that he was babysitting that day.
Tango is actually a big torch that grew arms and legs. The little children of the Tek variety don't have arms and legs yet and look like regular torches, but they do have a consciousness and the ability to talk through the crackling of their fire, which only their fellow Teks understand. As they grow older, they gain the ability to walk and speak human and they gradually take on a human looking form, though their hair remains fire and their body remains made of a firm, yet flexible wood.
To add on to this:
- Tango's species is known as "Torches of the Tek variety" (taeda varietatis tekem) "Tek" in short
- yes, the children of this species can move on their own, but they can only move by jumping like human kids doing sack race. This requires them to learn to stand upright, which they can't do in the first 18 - 24 months of their life, because their body is too stiff to even move slightly, so they can't balance against the slightest breeze. It only becomes flexible enough to balance themselves on their feet once the faint red glow on their head (yes, redstone torches look like baby Teks) ignites into a proper flame, which makes the wood of their body more soft and flexible.
- No, the children of the Tek variety don't have a gender. Their gender only develops once they reach puberty and start to growing into a humanoid shape, although it's unclear if they actually have biological genders, or only mimic a human gender of their choosing in order to blend in with human society
- during mating, one of the adult torches of the Tek variety grows a suspicious extrusion from their abdominal area that sticks upwards and gets longer and longer until it breaks off. The other mate then drops their embers on the broken end of the stick until they melt onto it. Slowly, the wood heats up and when it starts to faintly glow red, a new Tek is born. This reproductive process has been seen to work in any "gender" constellation.
- they can dye their hair/flame blue by sprinkling soul sand on it (the crafting recipe is inaccurate)

Tango!! I was so excited to watch your episode this week; after hearing you mention on stream that you had a task you really enjoyed, I knew you'd be my first watch. It did not disappoint
I LOVE how committed you were to the task--even though you got called out. That's the way to be!
I imagined this task - very funny idea btw! - to be solved via a "silent stream chat". Just imagine Tango talking to a chatroom that doesn't exist and not adressing any one person specifically. I like the approach with the torch! I suspect another solution would have been less obvious. Either way it was really great to watch Tango address a torch all the time.
This feels like a breakdown of the Dungeon Master after over a year of work on DO2.
So I think the heart foundation should work based off raffle tickets. Specifically signed book and quill. Each book will only have 1 number attached to it (1-x number of players). The signature is so no one can forge fake tickets. You will have redstone lamps setup, the number of lamps that light dictates the winning number. I like this setup cause theoretically it should be easy to program with redstone. . . since the output is just that of signal strength.
Combine that with fireworks going off when the ticket is drawn (and that of a goat horn being blown) and I think you have a fine attraction/server event.

It's my absolute favorite thing when Tango just busts out laughing at the beginning of the episode, and then he went and delivered just an absolute beautiful gem of an episode. He may have gotten caught but it was worth it, so worth it to hear every little thing Torchy said.

Rule for future task submissions:
All tasks need to have AN *"ACTIVE"* OBJECTIVE THAT MARKS COMPLETION! (as apposed to a passive "wait till session ends" objective). Accomplishable tasks only pls.
"Just walk around pretending you have an imaginary friend". . . TILL WHAT?! That one is so trash. It's not a completable task cause it doesn't have an end-goal to label the task as finished.
"Your task: Reroll/Suffer/You Lose" Is basically what that translates to.

i think it's pretty clear that the person has to do it until the end of the episode.
@@avtem Yes, that's an artifical time limit. It's completion is not actually based on the persons actions and is instead on an artificial time limit. That's why I hate these kind of tasks. I like seeing the hermits try to "ACCOMPLISH" a goal. If it's "Do X for the entire session", then that's not a "task", that's a "role". It's not something you "accomplish" as much as it is something you just "do".
I feel like having all yellows be able to guess every single players' task is a bit much...
Maybe they should only be allowed to guess one player only, i mean if you too many yellow players, the green players wouldnt be able to do their tasks.
Although, you could on the other hand pretend like your secret is something completely different and throw them off a loop :P
Nevertheless, that task was a bit too difficult to be a regular secret... for an entire session?? Maybe like half a session or a certain period of time would've been better, that's rough.

I don't like the dynamic that a green player would tell a yellow player what they think another green player's task is. It should be solely up to the yellow player to guess
I agree, there should be some more restrictions to it. It's an interesting concept, but too loosely applied.
I think them being able to guess once per person is fine. It’s supposed to be a secret after all and the previous two episodes most people were being way to open with their tasks.
It should probably be taken into account for which task ideas are accepted though. Tango’s was basically impossible unless he made an effort to minimize interaction with other people.
The point is to make sure people can't perpetually stay on green and extend the season too far. It's a good way to keep the whole group closer in terms of what stage they're at.

A few task suggestions: #suggestions
- Change every wood type in someone's base to a different wood type.
- Host the worst birthday party imaginable for another player, with at least three attendees.
- Build another player a new doorbell using noteblocks.
- Get another player to spawn five mobs using a spawner without discovering it.
- Swap your right click and left click keybinds for thirty minutes.
Add some rules for the doorbell. Like a noteblock minimum/if they have to confirm that they like it or not. Basically something to stop them from putting a button on a noteblock and calling it a day.
Ooh, I like the controls one. Could also reverse WASD or jump and crouch. Or wait...rotate WASD 90 degrees clockwise.
I love rewatching these episodes. It’s amazing to see just how much the server has changed in only a month’s time. Honestly it doesn’t even feel like a month has passed, but I know that it has.

I feel like that task of talking to imaginary friend doesn't exclude people catching you, just don't tell them what you're doing.
The idea was good, but because there was not a good clear condition. It feels like it was terrible. I hate that Tango failed after all this time sneaking Torchy into the conversation.
BTW, I would love to keep Torchy as a friend in future sessions, but don't need to be all the time like today.
I feel like this task was so well suited to you with how many streams you’ve been doing lately! Torchy I think needs to stay for the season, and was an excellent stand in for chat during cheatycam DO2 runs!
