I believe Chuck Smith , the founder of Calvary Chapel , would disagree regarding the modern versions. Here are 3 Studies he gave surrounding the KJB and the modern versions, 2 manuscripts and so called scholars. Textual criticism is in fact the worst thing that has happened to Christianity... which so called scholars in seminaries have used and caused students to doubt Gods Word. Chuck Smith "Foundation of the Word Part 1 Part 2 and Part 3 on youtube. He goes through the history of the gnostics as well. The twisting of scriptures mentioned in Peters epistle. 2nd Peter chapter 3:15 wrest or twist the scriptures. 😢

Arlene Stone . It's sad you missed the whole point of the teaching. I don't for one second believe that Brett would watch any of the chicken illustrations to happen in front of him now as an adult without the appropriate intervention. He ,his siblings and friends were KIDS!! For crying out LOUD, get some perspective.
I used not get jokes. Type A personality here. But I married a man who is the opposite from me. He is the reason I understand jokes today. It took about 20 years!! I pray that it doesn't take that long for you too. The chick is the story that God picked to show the people of the flock that was around him. Paster started with his own story from childhood. A true story. He can laugh about it now because he grew to understand how we are just like chick's. Without Jesus to help us wash away our sins. Our savior is like the mother chicken. But just like babies we can't be under mothers care. We want to fly. Fly but maybe if we could understand that the dangers are everywhere. I hope this makes sense. God bless all our chick's (flock). Father God, please open the eyes of Arlene's heart. Soften it to hear Your truth. Save her from hearing only what she wants to hear to justify her hard heart. I've been where she is... Dead set on doing things my way, seeing evil in good, and good in evil. Thank You Father, for saving me. For opening my eyes. Helping me see Your truths. In Jesus holy precious name. Amen.

I am sorry you are going through this situation. My own daughter was abused for many years by lies such as this. Prayers for you and your children.
