These tents are intended as instant shelters, and are mostly used by people on beaches needing shelter, or else by fishermen/women on the banks of a lake or river.
The deal is to assume the user doesn't know how to pitch a conventional tent, and maybe the ground isn't flat, so it's erected like an umbrella, hence the 'instant' name.
A true umbrella would have a pole and handle - which would be in the way - so this tent is erected by a rope pull instead.
You should erect it with the mechanism first, because it's freestanding, and then you peg it out.
The painted metal erection system will rust over time, and so hence the rust marks.
But for ten quid, it's a bargain.

I just bought one off temu a couple of months back, have put it up in the garden, mine has two doors and two windows, goes up in less than a minute, if I rush, and same with packing it away, apart from the size I'm quite happy with it, sure mines slightly smaller packed up though, not sure, but it does fit in my rucksack, mine costs £29, you got a bargain for a tenner, great video fella, giving you a follow 👊👍

I would say the only problem with mine is it’s length abit long but otherwise it looks ok think I may test it out tonight
