Got my custom graphics Rec Room 32" cabinet & PC built. Just waiting on the drives & super pixelcade marquee. Thanks for this review, it really made my decisions a lot easier.
Congratulations, looks great! I can’t express how much I love my setup and it is always the focus of conversation in my man cave. Congrats again brother!
I bought this and love it EXCEPT for the placement of the spinner. It is a bit awkward and my palm is always hitting the bottom buttons..... keep that in mind
Do they make bezels to hide the tv trim area ? Love rec room masters but feel like if they shipped with bezel they would look better. Awesome cab. What spec PC are you using ?
The lid for keyboard it’s hard to open even with the handle, because the position of the knob been too low, I installed more upwards and it’s really easy to open for me. Jus t a little observation. Congrats!!!
Im going to buy this myself this year going to use an Odroidxu4 for the emulation thought about a arcade one up but why not go with this spend the extra money and get way more im going with the 4 player version
Just wondering if the light up track ball comes standard or did you modify it? Every other video I’ve seen with that control panel just has a white ball
I was just about ready to pull the trigger on this cabinet after months of researching. Then I tried to go to the website but discovered that Rec Room Masters went out of business. I don't know what cabinet to get now. 😕
@@UrGamingTechie I just read yesterday that they are coming back. Check their website, it is back up and saying that they are coming back soon. I read somewhere else it's a new owner who bought all the designs and plans to keep making them the same way.
Great video! Your review lead me to purchase this cab about two weeks ago and it's a dream come true. Mapping the controller has been the biggest issue but I finally figured out everything but the two mouse buttons. When using the Winipac utility I see a PIN for MO LEFT and MO RIGHT but i don't know what to map it too under Primary. Any help would be appreciated!
Happy New Year my friend. I was thinking of getting a hyperspin set but wanted to ask a couple questions. How much extra drive space do you need when doing cloud download? I mean, you can't download the 16TB set on a 16TB drive as it would take up bit of space. And how is the compatibility for Teknoparrot? Lots of non working games? Does the reseller have a way of handling non working roms or do you have to just click a game and find it doesn't work?
Happy new year. As far as the drive the seller has a very good support system. Some games for Tekno dont work, thats the nature of it, nothing to do with the drive, but there is a community with the drive so you can ask others if they got it to work or if the game is currently broken etc due to emulation. No complaints here. Also i didnt need any extra space, you ftp for the download so exact space works fine
do you have the PC specs you put the 1050 TI into by chance? I believe you mentioned you put it into a Dell machine? Also, the lightup trackball. Did recroom put that in for you? Or did you do that after market?
Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking about upgrading my controller, but one thing bugs me. How is the placement of that spinner? Seems like the player 1 joystick is in the way for spinner games.
Does the art look glossy/laminated? I've seen the Game Room Solutions art for their cabinets and it looks dry and matte. I wanted to inquire if recroommasters would do art separately but their website is currently down.
Did you purchased the arcade already pre setup with the PC and all the games? I’m thinking of getting one but don’t want to built a pc strong enough to run all the latest games.
Great looking machine! I don’t have the room yet for the cabinet, however I want to get the control board you have, but I need to know what type of computer I can get to put games on? And the type of TV I’ll need, I’ll be putting in the arcade cabinet next year.
What software did you use to light up the trackball. I just bought this same controller and it has a rgb trackball. I tried ledwiz and ledblinky but neither work to light the trackball. Thanks for any help you can provide
The 2019 version shown here only leds up in red and can’t be controlled. There new full RGB unit which I upgraded to and did a video on, is fully controlled with all colors with ledblinky
Getting ready to order this now. I'm really curious as to how it will be to play Tron without a stick/button combo like the Tron Arcade Flight Stick. Guess I'm gonna find out. Thanks for the review!
You could put an Ultimarc Ultrastik 360 FS in place of the 4 way. 8 way Happ's are tight enough sticks that 4 way games have no issues. You don't need a 4 way stick.
Did hyperarcadesystems send you a physical drive or did you do the cloud option? I would think to download everything would also take forever, even with decent bandwidth speeds.
Hey man, I cab looks great! I bought the same board and have the same wheel but I cannot get the spinner off. Did you have to do something to disconnect it?
@@UrGamingTechie I must be missing something. I have a gun from Arcade Guns. Do you have a tutorial you can recommend , what software did you use? Thank you.
BigPoppa arcade guns software is actually what I used but I didn’t have a tutorial cause they just worked but I didn’t setup the emulator it was pre setup for me with this system
I didn't think they altered the sticks? Did you add the red sticks and lit track ball yourself? I also want to add a rotating joystick - do they have parts for that?
How’s the sensitivity on the spinner and trackball? I’m thinking of getting this someday I originally wanted the 4 player version but realized I don’t think I’d have that many friends over that often so this one would be a better bet.
Nice video! I just got mine I too but had couple questions before I assemble.... 1. What light gun brand and model do you have, and how accurate is it when you use it on Shooters like House of the dead? Pretty accurate like the original? 2. Unfortunately my monitor I'm using does not have a remote, So I'll need to physically touch the buttons underneath it to change settings. The plexiglass is in the way though unless I just don't install it. My question is, does that plexiglass SLIDE UP easily so I can get my hands under the monitor to change settings? I noticed the plexiglass slides down at the top portion of the cabinet when assembling. I have not assembled the top portion of the unit yet, so I was just wondering if sliding it upwards so I can get to the bottom of the monitor was a possibility. .. VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION LOL
KJ MullinZ 1. Gun brand is the Ultimarc aimtrak, def get the recoil one adds some fun to it. Works well not as accurate as the real machine Were but it’s really the only option currently and it’s fun as hell regardless 2. It does slide up a few inches, but not sure it’s enough to get to ur tv buttons. But u can remove is very easily even after ur all done if it doesn’t work for you. Just remove the top sodden board and u will have access to remove the plexiglass.
@@UrGamingTechie thanks for the prompt reply! ...The button settings on my monitor are located directly In the middle under the monitor, so the FEW INCHES you are referring to when sliding up the plexiglass from the front should be enough to access those buttons you think? If not, if I decide to just take the top board off, will I need a stool? ...I'm 6'2". And couldn't I just remove the top to just slide the plexiglass up a little in order to have access to the monitor buttons, or will I need to remove the plexiglass completely each time I want to get access to the buttons? .... I'm basically trying to find the quickest and simplest route to just simply change the input on the monitor between different consoles without having to remove the glass completely all the time.
KJ MullinZ it might be enough if it’s right at the bottom. Why not just get a universal remote might be must easier then touching the glass and worry about smudging it
@@UrGamingTechie unfortunately, it's a LG GAMING MONITOR and no remotes exist from what LG told me. : ( Thinking of adding a little handle in the bottom middle of the plexiglass so I can slide it up with ease without having to smudge the glass. That's why I'm trying to see how far it will slide up. Thankfully, the button settings are directly under the monitor in the middle dead center
Calcium Director it’s not gone, he’s working on a lot of projects for next couple weeks to improve the drive even further and took the website down till his done in a couple weeks from getting new orders.
Just got this, I hate the placement of the spinner. My right palm hits the lower buttons. Too far to the left as well and not a great view of the screen. Might be swapping it out for the 4 player.....
Just flip the switch to turn on the 4 player controller and it disabled the main 8 way stick and it's buttons. Your spinner and it's buttons as well as your 4 way and its 2 buttons will be the only ones working
