I once got banned for 3 days for allegedly "Trust trading". Even though I was actually advising somebody to not trust trade since somebody was requesting it. Therefore, I reported the guy who requested a trust trade but I got banned instead, because one of my texts had the word "Trust Trade" even though it was in a sentence that was advising the guy to not proceed with the Trust Trade. I did contact Roblox Support to fix this issue since it was clearly a false ban and luckily it only took a couple of hours for a reply with an Unban. (Not sure what happened to the guy that I reported for trust trading, but Roblox really needs a better moderation system. It's definitely slacking a lot.)
Roblox moderation is hard. Imagine dealing with tons of problem while your crew is only 1,600+ member to begin with. Even TikTok has a better moderation of roblox because they have over 40,000+ MODERATOR. Blame roblox for not hiring more moderator than blaming the moderation itself.

The problem here is that it seems they didnt bother to initially tell the AI what should be bannable and what not. The AI they are using to moderate instead seems to just have been left with the bad words and just has to figure it out. Like someone is calling people out for being racist, the AI reads "Racist" and bans the person who called them out. Its really dumb but the devs should have realized the basics: first of all: nobody who is racist is going to write the word racist all the time like they are announcing it to the world. Second and most obvious: The AI just like any other should be trained before being unleashed to judge the texts of billions of players.
yes Roblox uses AI for moderation, but it's still in it's testing stages, Roblox only has about 1000 moderators and only a few of them actually handles these types of reports, imagine thousands of reports being sent again and again, so the moderators can't really keep up

I've been banned multiple times for practically nothing. Like sure I did say something bad but in the ban note it just shows the one bad thing I said and then throws in almost everything else I said during the time I was playing and uses that as extra evidence or something to justify banning me, like one time it had one of the reasons for banning me as literally just a question mark. Nothing else. Just a question mark. If I remember right the exact words were "Offensive language: ?" Literally just a question mark. It's not fair, even if I did say a slur and call someone autistic and fatherless it doesn't justify banning me for a question mark. Once i was banned for saying “OOPS” and it said “we do not permit sexual language or sexting on our platform” WHAT?
I got banned for a day for saying “fr” saying IT WAS BULLYING AND HARASSMENT
The problem here is that it seems they didnt bother to initially tell the AI what should be bannable and what not. The AI they are using to moderate instead seems to just have been left with the bad words and just has to figure it out. Like someone is calling people out for being racist, the AI reads "Racist" and bans the person who called them out.
Its really dumb but the devs should have realized the basics:
first of all: nobody who is racist is going to write the word racist all the time like they are announcing it to the world.
Second and most obvious:
The AI just like any other should be trained before being unleashed to judge the texts of billions of players.
yes Roblox uses AI for moderation, but it's still in it's testing stages, Roblox only has about 1000 moderators and only a few of them actually handles these types of reports, imagine thousands of reports being sent again and again, so the moderators can't really keep up
I got banned recently for asking someone what their favorite monster high character was, and when i contacted moderation saying "please respond back because i believe i had no reason to be banned", they told me to stop being rude and that they wouldn't unban me 😭

Like sure I did say something bad but in the ban note it just shows the one bad thing I said and then throws in almost everything else I said during the time I was playing and uses that as extra evidence or something to justify banning me, like one time it had one of the reasons for banning me as literally just a question mark. Nothing else. Just a question mark. If I remember right the exact words were "Offensive language: ?" Literally just a question mark. It's not fair, even if I did say a slur and call someone autistic and fatherless it doesn't justify banning me for a question mark. I did not in fact learn my lesson from this because it was a clear injustice so I went on to accidentally get banned off of multiple other platforms, namely UA-cam.

Yeah that's a fairly common occurence to get punished for spamming. You shouldn't be banned though, just a warning

They basically told me to shut up since the ban expired. But if you don't tell people what they're doing wrong they'd just do it again without knowing. Roblox moderation is a joke
