- After healing the daughter of Jairus by the sea of Galilee, Jesus now travels inland to his hometown, Nazareth. When you think of home, perhaps you think of a place of love and acceptance. He’s been looking to rest, and you’d think that he’d find it back home. But sadly, that’s not what happens at all.

As well as we know Him, we can always know him better.
I feel and for his hometown fellows. They know him since kid but reject him that remind me of preached my old friend about Jesus but he rejected him.
Thank you for sharing. For your friend, we feel your pain. But perhaps you have sown some seeds in your friend's heart, and at another time, those seeds may germinate and have a profound impact on your friend.

When I think of how badly he was treated while he was on this Earth, it really makes me extremely sad. If only they knew who he was. The almighty God the mightiest being to exist. And he did this for us

My experience of Jesus is, that though I hardly saw many examples of true christianity portrayed by family or church members who profess to know him and the bible, in my own walk and experiences with him and studying his word and also seeking him for myself has proven that he is a just God and at the same time is understanding, forgiving, loving, wise, and supreme. Hardly any words to describe how wonderful he is.
Amen Ann! That's really lovely! It's rare to not look to the people in the Christian walk of faith, but you did just that I praise God for that. He gave you an insight that despite the weakness of men, you see the strength and love of Jesus. :) Let us continue to pray and be an good example so that others may see Jesus in us. Who is the God of the forefathers of Peter and the Apostles? Acts 5: 29 In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men. 30 The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a stake. 31 God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are witnesses of these matters, and so is the holy spirit, which God has given to those obeying him as ruler.”
My experience with Jesus is a supernatural one. I once practiced witchcraft and occult teachings unknowingly and He saved me from the pit. I sought understanding in order to be set free, but understanding is only valuable if it strengthens ones faith in God. He released the tormentors hold over me and delivered me from the strongman of Jezebel and Leviathan. He is everything and costs everything. He is my first love.
How true this old proverb came to be in his home town : familiarity breeds contempt! This lack of respect for The Christ was there bad choice and decision in the making considering his rock solid credentials! Fortunately it will not be held against them ! Luke 12:10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven... So grateful we should be for the undeserved kindness we are shown by our Heavenly Father !
