Teenagers are the future. You've probably heard that phrase before. It sounds corny and cliche and it kind of is. But there is a lot of truth to it. In the next 20 to 30 years, every major and important position in the world will be filled by today's teenagers. The presidents, generals, and CEO's will all be the 14 and 15 year old's of today. In some ways that is scary, but in other ways, it just shows how fast time flies.
Having said all of that, it is important that future generations move forward not making the same mistakes as the generations that came before them. This is critical. We have to learn from our mistakes, otherwise we are doomed to repeat them (another often heard phrase). Today, we have dedicated our list to this endeavor. Of course, the advice you are about to read isn't anything groundbreaking or Earth shattering. It won't solve world hunger or cure cancer, but it will make the adjustment from teenage life to adult life that much easier. So if you know anybody that can benefit from this list, forward it to them because these are 25 Bits Of Advice Every Teenager Should Hear.

26th advice:
sex can wait. don't rush to have sex then end up having to take care of a child that you can't financially take care of
wiser words have never been spoken.
I think that should be changed to " have sex responsibly" because not everyone ignores precautions like choosing the right partner and only being with that person. Always use the right condoms and learn how to have pregnancy preventing sex.
'Safe sex' isn't always safe.
Don't worry. The government has your back.
is that a joke
Kids you better listen to this, or you'll end up stuck, making top 25 lists, for a living.

Jamal Harrison friend, advise i should've had 3 years ago (im currently 13)
Jamal Harrison that's really good advice for everyone even if they don't admit they need it
Jamal Harrison idk man some I know some people who just struggle to reach out bc of their introvertedness
Thomas Smith i struggle to reach out to people because of my introvertedness
Wish my friend saw this comment
Respect people. You may not agree with them, but that doesn't mean you get to disrespect them. You want respect? Then give it.
Karen Dobrowolski I was taught to show respect to people when I first meet them and if they show none then they don't deserve it.
Respect isn't about the other person so much. It's how you represent yourself. You give it whether they deserve it or not. This speaks volumes about you.
Karen Dobrowolski Yeah well there's different culture everywhere. This is how I was raised and in other places you earn respect and until you earn it you're treated poorly.
Wow! I'm so sorry. The giving and the getting seem to go hand-in-hand to me. I have shown respect to people who threw it back in my face, but I believe it spoke more about their hatred of themselves rather than what they thought about me. Having a true respect for yourself is a steppingstone to respecting others. Blessings to you!
You get respect when you impose fear on other people's hearts.
A good piece advice of advice for teens is to stop stressing so much about school, and to not be too relaxed about it either. Find a balance.
Pietro Smusi lmao
+Pietro Smusi true, best advice on here!
how are teens supposed to find a balance when their future career is on the line the whole 3-4 years?
lol
but, one thing, i got doraemon plush on mah deesk
#26 Don't compare yourself to people.
But why?
That's a good one.
Agreed...
@@Orange_Swirl is that a real question? You are not them.. that is a real answer

Number 1 piece of advice:

Another one.
Find real friends with similar goals and interests

#1 don't smoke

+RoundMaster or crack
Unless it's weed
look at ur fucking profile pic my guy
Yes!! I wish somebody would've told me that one. I started smoking in my Junior year of high school and finally quit after 15 yrs. Now I'm addicted to my vape...
also, take responsibility for your actions. way to many kids (and adults) blaming everyone but themselves for failure.
CB82069 I know right
CB82069 From what I've seen for the past few years, I picked up on how most people seem to have this mentality where they think they are better than everyone else. People for some reason need to feel like they actually matter and have a place in the world.
Brandon Pierce they do matter and do have a place in this world there just not better than anyone else on it.
I wish I knew these things when I was a teenager, I learned most of these the hard way. One advice I would give teenagers is: don't be so eager to grow up, being a teenager gives you some advantages as you don't have to go to work, you don't have to do house work and you don't have to pay bills, enjoy it while you can. As the years pass life will get a lot harder and you'll also find out that years pass faster (the same 10 years from when you were 10 till you were 20 seem a very long time, well, the same 10 years from 20 to 30 will pass in an instant).
Galassia di Andromeda I'm a teen and I have to pay cell bills, and do house work wtf you lied
You're one of the not so lucky teens. I didn't have to do those things when I was a teen.
Galassia di Andromeda I'm 16 and I'm so glad I think like you do now. Hoping to set up the best life I can
You didnt do house work? Damn, I had to clean inside, and do yard work. Had to get a job at 16, and pay my insurance. Zach, you're learning responsibility it will make you a better man... but still dont grow up... Oh and the 10 years thing, is true...
No housework? Bullshit. I littearlly do most of the work (cleaning, taking the trash out, vacuum the house, doing the dishes, cooking etc.)
1) Don't be the smartest person in your friend group. You learn from the people around you and this is key.
2) Don't chase relationships. It may look like you're alone if your friends are with their partners, but jumping into a relationship will cause more damage than finding the right person for you. It's okay to not be in a relationship because you are still young, but nowadays people seem to have forgotten that.
rgpfighter I would say go for a relationship, but don't expect it to last. When you're young, it's the best time to explore what qualities you like and dislike in people. Sure heart breaks sucks, but you would at least have experience with such powerful emotions with training wheels.
"Don't be the smartest person in your friend group. You learn from the people around you and this is key."
Everyone hates intelligent people, yet those are the ones who are praised for creating amazing things.
I hate being a teenager.
I hate being young.
I hate being a child.
rgpfighter
You can still learn from anyone, even if they aren't as smart as you they can still teach you other things, like not to pick friends based on intellect as opposed to personality
But what if I am the smartest person in my friend group

Advice Teens Need:
Talk to adult if feeling down
Love yourself
Don't hurt yourself
annie huckaby also ya need water to go fishing ☝💦
Ab Soul NOFAP FOR LIFE
Sorry, how could I have forgotten
Andy Huckaby most teens mostly men don't talk about feelings and your parents will just get mad
Adults often get mad when teenagers talk to them, tell them to suck it up, or they overexaggerate and immediately try to force them into this magic solution that'll never work. The solution is to make the adult feel better. Not you.
Master social skills... Damn. How do I do that ? Speak to people HA
Sonny Lummes like he said, JUST DO IT
Uriel Torres Lmfao 😂
Sonny Lummes BUT I HAVE S.A.D
I suck at social skills this is literly My life school, Figureskating, off ice, dinner, homework, realax, sleep. i think the last time I hang out with a friend was during Summer holiday. that was 5 months ago. ( atleast I meet People at school and some of My best Friends is My skating friends)
im english so obviously everyone smokes but I dont so there are very few chances for me to socialise after school. They all go to parties and I go to watch a list25 video.
if i hear a "You spend too much time on your devices." I'm leaving.
you have done us well mike bravo
We kind of do spend too much time on them to be honest.
well adults do too now so
RoseOfTheNight4444
Everyone does, what the hell are you talking about?
Alex Rivera
Not everyone does. Alot of the people my mom's age barely use technology let alone know how. The younger they get, the more often they use tech. That's what I've learned.
why sunscreen when im playing whole summer inside xd

President of the USA, Donald J Trump no, he is horizontally wide... jerk 😂😂
"Travel"
Yes because I have time and money and transportation to do so at fifteen🙄🙄
CeciSweetie couldn’t you hop on a bus and head just a few miles away on a weekend? I encourage my 14 year old Daughter to do this! I know it’s not a huge adventure, but she’s gaining confidence, meeting new people and, stepping out of her comfort zone! 😊
1 Get your parents to teach you about:
Paying taxes
Opening a bank account
Getting healthcare
2 Don't try to avoid taxes, especially income taxes. It will affect you negatively later in life
3 Get a job before moving out. save money for when you do.
4 Don't smoke. You already know it's bad for you but it also costs the average smoker 2000$ a year.
5 When it comes to your first time drinking don't do it at a party. Make sure you're around people you trust. I first got wasted drunk at home. I had family in the house and I learned my limit in a safe environment. Also take it slow. Alcohol can take a bit to kick in. Get up and move around every once and a while to see how drunk you actually are.
well maby i would have money if my mom didnt take it all for smokeing... that my life rule dont get addicted i seen how that turned out for my brothers and my mom.
That Guy
I can relate. I had all 50 state quarters and my mother took it for smoking money.
Vriska Serket
wow. with me i need to hide my money very well i hide it in walls and floors and she finds it. hes better then the police.
That Guy
Start hiding it in places she'd never look. Like in her own possessions. That's if she goes out regularly.
Even better would be to get a bank account. Don't set the pin to something she could guess and never share it.
You could try to report her but living in what I assume is her home is a tricky situation.
i have a very good friend that i use as a bank.
My advice: If you 'Accidentally' kill somebody, you will get out when youre 18. ;D

Daniela Stefan but if you tell yourself a lie enough it'll come true
Annie Buchholz Iv been telling myself im rich every day for the past 10 years, hasn't worked yet
I love the nirvana joke at the beginning.
It's funny how I hear this stuff and really consider it.. But if my parents told me even one of these I'd roll my eyes and leave the house xD I have an issue...
Same
I think that is pretty common actually. You can notice it with kids often. Kids (or anyone) who won't listen to their parents, and get corrected by / talked to by a third person (friend of parent, school teacher, or youtubers) will take the third persons advice more serious. Some psychological thing that makes you listen more serious to third parties instead of your parents. Perhaps you have the same thing ;) and I think many of us do, unconsciously. Which is fine
psteeg it was kind of a joke but uh thanks I guess lol
Malachi Martin I know but its interesting there's some kind of truth behind it :P
I hate it so much. I can't obey my teachers or parents because I have to do the opposite of what they say. I don't know why...
My advice is : Never lose your honor. Dress, talk, and act in a way that will give you a good image in society. Honor and Self-Worth is something that you should never lose.
Dude it's 1:54am and I have class in the morning... That "do it" part scared me out of my sleep lol okay I'm going back now. Goodnight everyone!

For 13 I am a classic nerd with smarts and glasses and I'm not that strong but one time a bully walked up to me and pulled his fist back and told me to give him my money. Not just teens all people we need to respect others and treat other as if they were us
how can we travel if were kids in high school. thats our parents decision.
Orion Molaro My thoughts exactly. Our parents dictate everything we do so we are limited.
Orion Molaro Even if your parents have the final decision, you can still bring up the idea of an exchange year or something like this. Sometimes you just need to convince you parents.
Orion Molaro
You may be able to tip the scales if they were already thinking about it, but otherwise, no
If you are taking a foreign language, play an instrument or are in drama there is potential to travel as a school activity. Sports too, if you're really good.
cut off toxic people? Well, there goes the league of legends community
Shit man, there goes the internet.
where all going to die!!!!
Shit man, there goes everybody in the world.
Dota 2 is better than lol
my advice, as a slightly older teen(being about 19)
keep your friends close at heart, but always be ready to bludgent them to death.
not the physical beating, but in a work sence. you both want that job, so you both apply. you want it more than him, so beat him in the sence of applying to the job. if you both get rejected, your still friends, but if you get accepted over them, and they are upset, be ready to kill them, and explain how compedetive job markets work.
if they hate you, and stop being your friend, thats thier choice, don't let it get to you, just let them go(beat them to death in your heart). if they stay, you have a true friend,
i only say this, becuase someone did it to me once, when i got better than them, and they worked harder than me...
in a cooking competition that is.
Also be ready to bludgeon them to death literally in a zombie apocalypse, when they try to kill you for being annoying, they become wife/child beaters, or they become an obstacle on your rise to power.
Ok?
***** i am speaking medifiricly.... if they beat you with a wrentch, beat them with a wrentch.
***** so 90% of the population? okay, thanks.

Well I thought he was gonna say "Smells like teen PINEAPPLE"
Then you didn't get it... -_-
I thought he was going to say smells like bullshit
I thought it was going to be: "Smells like teenage kid that hasn't showered in a week"
I'm a teen my self and I'm shocked of how many people in my school don't care about there education
Grant Suckow no Im just desabeled so my maths and English is horrible
Grant Suckow I wouldn't be watching this video
School doesnt really matter as much as people make it seem. In fact, you forget up go 95% of everything you 'learn' from school. Its not learning, its reciting information. School teaches NOTHING about the real world
Add "find a role model for success, follow what they did and listen to their guidance"
Mike from List25 is my role model
Would DJ Khaled be appropriate?
Don't get married.
It depends on your partner. ;)
it doesn't depend on the partner. Don't get married

Patrick Star me too but I just had an epiphany that I'm a doormat and I just accept it when people are assholes as a joke probably because I'm Canadian lol

Patrick Star Same
Patrick Star that's great
Ayb Skirmish right
be active
set short term goals for yourself & work hard to achieve them .. that way u will learn self diciplin and aslo feel really good when u succeed
and do sports!!
Learn to say sir and ma'am often and to everyone no matter what their social status is. People will respect you more if you show them this little bit of respect.
or you could just ask for their names and call them that....
While saying their name is nice, sir and ma'am are more respectful as it leaves most people feeling, who are called that, with a feeling of being respected.
Marty DeWitt I understand it is respectful yes, but you said to "everyone." It'd be a bit weird to say "ma'am" or "sir" to your friends/family. To strangers or superiors then yes it is more respectful.
Joseph Lalis I always just considered this common sense, and now we have to teach people.
Joseph Lalis If I try to say ma'am (I'm not english but in english conversations) it sounds like mum... lol

Lol you don't have to be a stereotype, you know. I wasn't and I turned out fine.
Here is an easy one: "if it looks dumb, it most likely is", so best to stay away from out of control parties and the whole #yolo thing. Live your one life to the fullest, but please do not try to receive a Darwin Award in the process, or even to less extremes messing yourself up from idiotic "rites of passage". Earning your license, finishing school, being with the people you care about and cherish are the best keys to living a good life. I sincerely thank you for reading this message in its entirety, and possibly considering the wisdom it contains even if it's a tad unfocused. Have a good one.
I'm a teen and guys listen. Moving out or running away isn't always a good thing. I did it and I hurt the ones I love. so please don't do it. Now because of that I'm 2 years behind in school. Stay in school and don't run away from your problems ok. Face them head on you'll learn a lot from it all.
I know how it felt..i ran away too..family problem with stupid siblings really interrupted my focus..right now im covering all of my studies that i neglected before n my finals are about in a few months..please pray the best for me

I'm gonna go ahead and piggy back off that piece of advice where he says "don't worry what your peers think". That's such good advice. That should have been number 1. Nowadays you find it so common that teens tend to want to do the trendy cool thing that some teens give up their beliefs, put their morals to the side, and don't value their values for the sake of being recognized by their peers. Stay strong minded and strong willed, teens. Trust me, after high school, you won't hear from about 99% of the people you met in high school. You'll only stay in touch with just a handful of people that were your close friends. Be a leader. Make it the "cool" thing to not do the cool thing. Once people start seeing that someone else shares the same beliefs, morals, and values, you would have started a new "trend" but in all actuality it's just how you feel and you would have changed several people's lives.
did I just get told to exercise by this guy LMAO
Venom X uh yeah why?
Dylan_Jensen cuz he fat
infinite 579 Holy I’m late but do as I say, not as I do.
I have eight children and homeschooled for 17 years for many reasons.
One thing I think is important is to teach the child/teenager about life and to even talk to them about how making this a good interactive topic among peers, mentors, etc. matters, as talking with others about this helps give new perspectives instead of being "fixed" on one "school of thought."
Thank you for this channel. I have been watching at least four per day to actually have watched them all.
Date around, get to know the type of person you want to be with in a relationship as well as how you'll be in the relationship.

I'm only 13 but I've had experience with this in 7th grade IT. Don't be lazy and sit there and talk during class. That's what I did. I failed IT because I never asked for help and I had no motivation. Don't do what I did in any of your classes or jobs. Thanks for reading this and have a good day.
He looks like Hugh Mungus
Jiffy Bets at first i thought it was him
Jiffy Bets He just sexually harassed me!!!!!
Do not burn bridges. It is uncanny how many people's paths I've crossed over and over again throughout my life. Six degrees of separation is real. That guy/girl that you were mean to in H.S. might be sitting on the other side of a desk interviewing you some day. Just be nice to people.
18 seconds, 3 views. I'm not bragging about being early.
Not quite early enough
you have to say ''yes'' you are early
Hi Not Bragging About Being Early. My you have a long name. ~Mike
Don't let someone pressure you into doing things you aren't comfortable with just because you like them and "don't want to be mean". Learned this one the hard way lol
I am 14 and have had this on a playlist since I was like 11 waiting to re-watch it at the start of high-school.
Headlight Fluid is the most important thing you need for a car. That, and elbow grease

Don't have sex outside of marriage.
just because you cant get laid doesnt mean we cant do what we want
If you want a successful and happy life you shouldn't have sex with anyone until you are married.
Tell me one solid reason, and an example then ill aggree
I disagree.
You are less likely to be hurt and abused by someone else.
Thinking before speaking really changes everything
#7 ALL THE WAY! i used to be extremely unsocial, i spent most of my time as a kid playing games and was homeschooled, whenthe time came i had to learn how to talk to people i just didnt know, but i kept forcing myself to try talking to people(made a fool of myself maaaaany times) and eventually i got to the point i could confidently talk to strangers. just remember, everyone had to learn at some point, its all about just getting the experience. force yourself to put yourself out there, of you make a fool of yourself, well, it had to be done at some point
oh, and if people are gonna judge you for things like that then you shouldnt be around those people, they just make it worse and all you learn from them is how to have a massive ego
Well this is

There's no going back at this point and im sticking to this path

Everyday
That's a dumb idea, I remember at college there was a party of about 10-15 people in a suite. They were quiet so no one knew anything was going on. Someone who got in an argument 1-2 weeks before wanted revenge for something waited until the time the party started an called the cops. Only two or three people had or was smoking it, but everyone got in trouble, a few were arrested and I think all but 1 person dropped out to go to other schools or never finished college just by being associated with it.
+Jake G I smoke weed I'm.15 and nothing is going wrong
As a teen often called an old soul, I can guarantee a good amount of the advice you have given will not be taken seriously by people my age.
As someone who's survived her teenage years, I think that middle schoolers should know that high school isn't something they should be afraid of. I used to be really nervous about it, but I ended up having a really great time and, sometimes, I wish that I could go back. :3
