Small note, Orange (Unique) items are just that, unique, and are not always better than Yellow (Rare) items. Your Kaom's ring is not helping as much as any basic rare ring would. Also Scourge Arrow is a "channeled" skill, which gains multiplicatively more damage with hits and ailments when you hold down the button to charge it up before releasing.
This is actually a HUGE note. New players always fall into the unique trap. Rares are almost always better than uniques for your build. Uniques are mostly a source of build-enabling mechanics.
well thats just super disappointing, why have uniques if they are just useless? the game makes such a big deal of it when it drops, of course you wold expect that it should be better than anything else.
@@Csumbi They're not useless. They might be useless TO YOU, but for some build they're absolutely KEY. This is what gives PoE the depth it has. It's also there to stimulate the economy.
New boots: +53 Life +27% Fire resist +14% Cold resist +13% Lightning Old Boots: +15% Movement speed I prefer to go fast... HAHAHA Crafting is not a option. Love the series
Also when he turned down the two-stone ring quest rewards because he had good rings already. I mean yeah, Le Heup of All is good, but Kaom's Sign not so much.
dashes aren't just for avoiding damage, they also allow you to jump over gaps and elevation changes ^^ so you don't have to run around to find a path up to a ledge
This is such a breath of fresh air! I've been playing Path of Exile since 2013 and this series just brings me back to how it was back when everyhting wasn't "figured out". I love this so much, thank you!
Tip for stash tabs, when you open your stash and right click on top on the name of the stash you can customize them and set affinities, which automatically transfer chosen types of items into that stash
Just to clarify. Item transfer is not automatic, but it will change the tab, if you are on a different tab. So you can ctrl click an item and it will put it in the right tab no matter what tab you are on.
@@Argrene You didn't read anything i just said. I said it puts the items in the right tab no matter what tab you are on. You still have to click. There is no auto transfer items.
@Powermongur what he said is correct, under stash options there is a "Affinity Auto-Navation" that indeeds makes item go to the correct tab without changing the current tab, it's very usefull since you can simply dump everything into a dump tab without it switching tabs when you input for example currency items.
@@Powermongur oh i didnt think of it actually automatically transferring your whole inventory into your stash without clicking anything, that would be cool
Nice job clearing act 5! :) Good luck with act 6. Glad to see you ascended, that's a good step forward. Innocence and Kitava are definitely the first big harbingers of difficulty in the campaign, nice job pushing through them. If you want to avoid polite advice, ignore the rest of my comment. If you don't mind advice but want to avoid backseating, I have split my comment into the appropriate sections. --- ADVICE Kitava reduced your resistances by -30% at the end of Act 5. There was a message that briefly shows on screen, but its easy to miss. You want your Fire, Cold, and Lightning resistances to all be at 75% or higher. If they are lower, you will instantly die to a lot of things. Chaos resistance is harder to get, keep Chaos resistance above 0% if you can. --- BACKSEATING There are three main ways to improve your Elemental resistances in the campaign that don't involve trading or farming new gear. 1. Use the Crafting Bench in your hideout to add resistance suffixes to your gear. 2. Talk to Lily Roth and purchase Purity of Elements. This is an aura that increases all 3 of your Elemental resistances and makes you immune to Ignites, Shocks, Chills, and Freezes. It reserves a lot of mana, but if you don't have another way to solve resistances and ailments it just works. 3. Run flasks that increases your resistances and pray they are running when you get hit.
To add to the "talk to Lily Roth" advice, in act 6 she gives a sidequest that after completed allows you to buy ALL normal gems from her. That's the first thing mostly anyone should be doing in act 6, so avoid the desire to just start with the main quest.
One bit of advice on starting act 6, make sure to do Lily's quest (Fallen From Grace) which takes you back to clear out the undead that have moved into the tutorial zone after you killed Hillock way back. Once you complete it, Lily will become a store that sells (nearly) every skill/support gem in the game and can be placed in your hideout so you don't have to keep going back to a specific town to buy certain gems. I think you'd also unlocked Siosa in act 3 library who does the same thing but isn't in a town, so you have to take the payment you need with you to shop from him, whereas Lily takes payment directly from your stash like all the other town npcs.
Adding a loot filter is something that can help a lot with the visual information and answer your question to if you should be picking up an item. Console players have these options built into the game, but pc players have to add them externally. Most people use filterblade. You can link your account and have it appear in game quite easily. You can change the strictness of the filterr to hide more items. There are even options for selecting your leveling type, like bow. This might be too much info tho, so it may be better to pick the regular filter and only change the colors to your preferences. another tip is you can put steelskin to autocast on cooldown if you have it on your left click ability. It wont interrupt your walking at all.
You don't have to link your account to anything but the official website. Just press follow on any loot filter that you are interested at and it will appear in the game instantly.
Filterblade's semi strict (just put it in and never have a problem again.. unless screen gets cluttered again then go to strict..). It's funny how even the loot filter has it's own progression.
watching this series while I have 4000+ hours into this game just hits different, i can see myself first playing this game back in 2018, it was hard, the amount of knowledge you get after your first completion of the 10 acts is insane, especially if you follow a guide on your next build, this will make you less worried about your wrong choices and never spend more than 10 refund points for the whole 10 acts you're going to go through next time you create a character, plus please don't ever delete your first character or fix it with a guide after you finish your acts, when you get to know the game well you'll get that nostalgia when you go back and see what you did with your first character, it's amazing when you'll feel how much knowledge you gained after some months of playing..
I still kept 2 of my old HC characters :P 1 got to maps, 1 killed Atziri when she first came out :P. It’s not just the nostalgia, it’s also the sheer dedication and love you spent on those digital characters
Of all the UA-camrs on this latest trend of trying PoE, this is the series I'm most excited for. Thanks for the continued content. Your chill personality and casual insight are a joy to listen to. Your editor is top notch as well. I hope you'll join us in the Affliction league with a new build.
The best tip I think I can give you for getting through the passive skill tree with no guide is to use its search bar. When you open your passive skill tree you can type in things like "life" or "damage" and the related nodes will be highlighted. My recommendation here is too look up "chaos damage" and "damage over time" as this is what you'll want to scale for your build it seems like. I hope you have fun with the game, it is quite a challenging thing to do, doing it with no guide. Oh and another quick tip, if you put steelskin on your left click, it'll activate as you move and will have a good amount of uptime, saving you the trouble of thinking about it.
@@NyxVellum one of the things you should check is your chance to poison in the offence menu when you click C, if its below 80-100% when you select scourge arrow you should probably look to get some on the passive skill tree or gems, it should make your build feel a lot smoother
I hope you're enjoying your Path of Exile time! I wanted to share that one of the biggest step-ups for me in quality of life was activating a Loot Filter in the options. I don't know how that's done nowadays, but loot filters allow you to ignore worthless loot without even showing up in your screen. For example you can filter out "all white and blue items unless they have 4 or 6 links".
Ballista ballista! Act 6 is gonna be a big check on your setup, especially your elemental resists. You already have a feeling your gems need attention, so you're on the right track. Maximize those 4-links for your more important skills. Your gem preferences should drive your socket color setup, rather than the other way around. Don't forget about Chromatic Orbs and your crafting bench. Good luck in Part 2!
and seriously watch out for resists (finishing act 5 gave you PERMANENT resist penalities) because it is akin of finishing Normal Difficulty in D2 and getting to Nightmare
Congrats on finishing the first half of the campaign! I am very surprised how well you are doing, both ingame and in understanding the game. Be prepared for a lot of information, because starting now the game will throw a lot more new stuff at you. (Including some of my favorite league mechanics!)
You might have missed it when you lost to Kitava but your default base resistances for all elements and chaos went from 0% to -30%. Act 5 onwards your resistances start to make more of a difference in your survivability. Alsa Path of Exile is very precise with its wording, so chance to avoid elemental ailments is exactly what it says and not the same as elemental resistance. Love the series and can't wait to see you play through the rest of the Acts.
@@oopomopoo sorry, but nearby is dead nowadays (almost dead, it is still in game, but my guess that it will be changed very fast, as we get mroe and more meters for items):)
One thing you can do, is, Open: Options>UI>Scroll down to "Items" and click the "Always Show Sockets" thing. So you don't have to hold your mouse over the items equipped to see what sockets/links you have. :) Also you can Hold Ctrl to swap skill bars. I usually put aura skills in the second bar so you can focus on the active skills on the main bar. And another thing, you can put your "Steelskin" in the left mouse button slot, so that it'll activate on cooldown when you move around. I'm enjoying watching this series! Hope you're having fun! :)
First thing to do after this : check your resistances. That last boss (Kitava) lowered your resistance (you get a permanent debuff), so you need to get higher resistances from now on!
I doubt he ever had noteworthy resistances to begin with, any ele res he's had so far was more coincidental considering he took people saying to pick up elemental resistances as picking up elemental ailment avoidance. We'll see a LOT of deaths coming up with act 6, I wouldn't be surprised if some of his resistances are in the negatives now, not just chaos res
PLEASE, DONT MISS THIS: after act 5 you will loose a huge amount of elemental and chaos res. and second time will happen on level 75. the normal cap of eleres is 75%, please make sure you have it full, it's not so difficult as it could look like. it will hugely increase your survivability in future! but, for chaos def.. try to make it at least 0% (not -75%)
@@NyxVellum40+ ele res is enough for campaign and u can ignore chaos res. If you ever gonna play endgame that's where u need to cap ur ele res and get positive chaos res
Good videos, realy good and couple advices: 1. you have 2 bars of skills (press ctrl in game to see them) 2. You can apply auto filtration of your stash imput (press right click on a stash tab) 3. Your ressistances was lowerd due to the plot check them 4. Seek the item filter it's just quality of life
@@lanmandragoran8337 it seems like a basic one that doesn't really do much but recolour things. it's not hiding anything and thats what his concern is "excel sheet" seek open-mindedness before correcting others.
@@jasonbuckley4118 Its literally Neversink Semi-strict, and he has talked about it several times and said he will take it to Strict or higher when he feels he needs to. Fucking open your ears before telling me to open my mind. Braindead.
Man props to you for not only completing labyrinth but the entire first half of the game without a movement skill. That's impressive. You will notice a significant increase in difficulty from here on in though, especially now that Kitava has cursed you. I hope you are enjoying the lore as well, I have over 1000 hours in the game and still take the time to interact with it whenever i can.
very important note: finishing act 5 lowers PERMANENTLY all your resistances, chaos resistance included, so dont forget to invest more heavily in all that. Also note that it happens again once you complete act 10 and finish the campaign; you will need a higher investment in resistances to have them at the same level as before, especially since the kiddie gloves come off after act 5 and maxing out resistances (bar chaos since its rarer both from enemies and on items) will quickly become very important to survive
This has been so much fun to watch. I'm impressed that you've made it this far! Important non-spoiler notes, though: By the next time you play, the current Season will have ended, and your character and items will be moved to Standard league (aka the Eternal Realm). For you, all this means is that your silver coins and the Halls of the Dead are gone, and you're free to keep playing, but if you want to try the new Affliction content, you'll need a new character. Also, Kitava hit you with an unbreakable curse that now causes you to lose 5% xp towards the next level when you die now, so try to avoid that. Good luck!
@@NyxVellum The good news is that you can't lose a level. So, it's always a good idea to level up right before trying some new hard content (like a new boss).
Endgame uber pinnacle bosses in PoE do have one shot mechanics, but unlike with Uber Lilith, if you're enough of a psychopath you can actually tank these. They do enough to kill 99% of characters in one hit, but not so much that it's truly impossible to tank. Gotta build some defense!
@@falsnamae3511 Depends on the boss. Uber Exarch balls for example just deal fuck you damage. They're an untyped skill that does secondary damage, so bypasses all dodge/block/ev/suppression by virtue of not belonging to a valid category. They can still be tanked of course, but the way to do so is via raw DR. Max res, high armour with Transcendence, Eternal Damnation, Fortify, Ruby Flask, preferably with a Mageblood and of course good old fashioned life.
Glad you're enjoying this game so much. The Trials of Ascendancy was always one of my favorite places to level up at, and I absolutely love the game's soundtrack. It never gets boring and I would find myself idly standing in an area just to listen to the music. A little tip, though; keep an eye on the items. The ones with green boarders mean that it has a green, red and blue socket that are linked together, and will sell for a chromatic orb, regardless of the item's size. Also, you're about at the point in the game where you'll start finding 6 socket items. Make sure you grab them, because those sell for 6 jeweller's orbs.
Episode 1: i can't believe people pay for those visuals Episode 5: Game is awesome i need to give something back to they creators Same thing happened to me 😂
It's almost the story of evry poe player, You start and after 20-30 hours you start feeling a robber, you're continuosly saying to you "i'm really playing it for free? this gme is real? and you give something to the devs. This game is pure love.
man i really hope you get millions of subscribers. You talk so fluently and engagingly i just love to watch your video.Hope you get growth in your channel.
Man in the beginning of your tree theres 2 big nodes you didn't allocate 'primal spirit' and 'heart of oak', will cost 4 points but is very cost effective for mana and life. Second tip is search for mana leech in the passive tree, grab the nearest node with mana leech (4 points to reach), this will help to maintain your mana.
Very nice series Nyx, I look forward to the next parts. I have played this game since back when we had like 2 acts only and always made my own builds. You will struggle and fail plenty on the way to making a successful endgame build by yourself, but all the learning you will do is an amazing experience. There is no shame in making the mistakes you make now and I hope to see you continue to grow more and more, especially with what you can truly do with the freedom this game allows you. Sidenote: so far you taught me to shout 'Ballista! Ballista!' and I thank both you and Frank for that.
For Steelskin put it as your left click so it always activates whenever it's not on CD or link it with Cast When Damage Taken Support. For stashes you want to Right click the stash and set their Affinity so you can Ctrl+Click item and it automatically goes to the stash with that affinity instead of looking for specific stash to put it in. "Excel" screen you solve by getting loot filters.
Absolutely loving the series, it's awesome to see someone new to the game experience that feeling of 'what would happen if I did this' that made me love the game. You're definitely doing a lot better than I did so many, many thousand of hours ago when I first started playing!
This. There is basically no support that impacts the effect of an aura except for those that specifically mention modifying auras (and enlighten, I guess...). The only aura that is worthwhile to link with something (maybe) is herald of agony in order to increase the power of the minion. That, though, will also increase the reservation, so it's only good if you plan on using the minion as a primary source of damage.
one exception to this is if you want your build to revolve around one herald, and you are okay with it reserving like 80% of your mana on it's own, or if you want to run something like flesh and stone linked to maim support for a physical build.
Aaahh, PoE... Avoid doing something unless it's what you're doing for your build, or you are trying to do something specific, or for several other reasons.
@@JayeDidAThing Isn't there also that one passive node that allows you to use your mana shield as mana? You could have a herald take up like the vast majority of your mana and then use your mana shield as mana instead.
@@triopsate3 yeah, but i was moreso meaning that you really cant put like any other auras on your mana pool in a herald of agony/purity/thunder build. Though they usually run lone messenger anyway.
I haven't even watched yet but just so I don't forget by the end, the passive tree has a search box in the top right. It 100% Makes the passive tree easier to digest and understand. Need life, search life. Need one of the damage tags on your gem, search for the tag. It becomes way easier. You just haven't noticed, many don't.
At Act 6 you can do a quest that will allow you to unlock a shop with all gems in the game (actually 99% of them, some only possible to be obtained by drops). If you want to rethink about your gems. Act 6 will be a good place after that quest, since you can take a look on everything that the game has to offer. And you can respect your ascendancy. All you need to do is respect all your ascendancy points and do the lab again. Then when you reach the ascedancy plate, it allows you to change it.
Another great video! My tips for Act 6 would be to remember that you can "farm" zones if you feel your gear is lacking, by control + left clicking on them (either the zone entrance, or the waypoint to the zone) and selecting "new" and the other tip is that Lilly is your friend. Either way, keep up the great work, it's been a blast watching you.
1-try to put Steelskin on the left click of the mouse so it's always get activated while you are walking 2- if you found an item with all the colors that are linked together you can sell the item for a chromatic orb 3- if you pressed right click on a stash tap you can decide what goes there for example in the currency stash you check on currency so it directly send them to that stash 4-i know you have a loot filter but maybe try to put a stronger filter so the white and the blue items doesn't show up on your screen 5-keep playing the game without a build guide at least for the first time so you can enjoy the game and then maybe the second character you can look for a guide if you want
Been playing the game on an off since betrayal, and I never thought about having steelskin on LMB, always had walk on it excert for vortex builds. How am I so dense...
12:50. You can switch ascendancies. For that you need to click altar of ascendancy (finish a lab) without having ascendancy points allocated (respeccing one ascendancy point is 5 orbs of regret). Since you have access to stash, however, you can go through lab first and then begin regretting everything. And as it doesn't matter which lab you go through, most people do it in normal lab anyway, which is the easiest and shortest one
Seeing him decide not to go Raider because the art didn't have a bow was an interesting insight into how people pick classes too, as raider is very generic power. Pathfinder was a good choice though, and a very powerful ascendancy but has those flask stipulations.
Thoroughly enjoying your series! It's always fun watching new people try this game but you have such a great blend of comedic value and quality editing in your series that really puts you several steps ahead of the "New player trying PoE for the first time" competition. Can't wait for the rest!
Act 5 was the place where I started paying attention to the lore whenever Fall of Oriath launched. It get's really special, it's kinda cool. Also, big difficulty spike on Act 6. Defeating Kitava removes 30% of all your elemental resistances, and most mobs on Act 6 have fire attacks (while also being harder to kill). You'll probably have to take a serious look at your gear to actually do stuff and not be completely miserable.
It used to be that act 6 first part the mobs did fire, and the second part beginning with the mid act boss they did lightning. But now they do all 3 and it's kind of a pain.
When you talk about pressing z, you can remove the clutter with loot filters. I reccomend FilterBlade's loot filters because they have different levels of strictness for various levels of when you are in the game.
I am a POE vet, been playing on and off for 8 or 9 years now. I just want to offer you a heads up that not every build can get remotely close to endgame viable. Especially for a new player making their own build chances are you will be able to beat all 10 acts (essentially PoE's version of a tutorial) and stall out in early to mid mapping because your build will simply not be optimized enough to go further than that. Not saying don't do your own thing, just don't expect to progress that far without at least a loosely following a guide. I have brought many friends into POE and around 3/4 of them that wouldn't look at a guide quit the game because their build just wasn't strong enough.
The Twist of Similar yet different coming up in the remaining acts was an amazing first experience. The Second half of the acts is a far more modern addition that really expanded the campaign beyond the Normal - Nightmare - Hell Mentality of old. Many of the more modern complex older league mechanics will start to show themselves as well adding to the difficulty of knowledge.
Congrats on beating Part 1! Keep in mind that once you get to maps (so, endgame after Act 10), GGG owns your soul. Two things to be aware of: First one is that you missed an optional quest. Im sure you know that it's best if you do all of them. That one in particular is whatever, but under no circumstances skip the one in Act 6 that you have now. Do clear the twilight strand. Second: You might have missed the message after the Kitava fight that said you have now lost 30% elemental and chaos resistances. Also dying now carries a penalty - but I'll leave that for you to figure out. Again, congrats, you have now reached "Nightmare". And some additional fluff: Back in 3.0 - the last big expansion - is when we got the current questing storyline. GGG increased the story from four to ten Acts at a time when players were expecting merely a single new Act. They did this of course by reusing many assets. That's why you're "in Act 1 again". They did this explicitly to remove the repeated grind through different difficulties that Diablo is known for. Before this PoE had three difficulties as well. In fact we had four difficulties before Act 4 when Piety was the final boss. And not to unnecessary dig at the Blizzard and Diablo fans, but this came at around the same time when D3 got one of its big expansions - the Necromancer. Anyways, the important thing is: Difficulties exist in PoE in a way that might not be obvious. Remember that your resistances are now reduced.
Great series! So fun to watch someone try something new :) I will leave one tip: Beating Kitava has "cursed" you so you now have permanent -30% elemental and chaos resistances (aka take more lightning, cold, fire and poison damage). Act 6 and onward has massive amounts of elemental damage monsters and boss’s who will make your life hell if you ignore your ele res much longer (open character page with ‘c’ to look at your defensive numbers. Resistances max out at 75% normally, you want 75% res to all elemental damage). There's also some nasty chaos damage monsters and boss’s in act 7 and onward. You can get elemental resistance on your items, especially by using the essences which give ele res on some blank white items. You can also use purity auras (purity of cold, ect) for more resistances of one element. You will soon have access to all skill gems from a single shop and purity of elements gives +30% all ele res to help offset the -30% you just got. You also can get some elemental resistance (not the same as resisting elemental ailments) on the passive tree. Chaos res is harder to get, best way is Amethyst rings (i know you love your current rings, just know any purple or green colored magic will probably be chaos/poison and kill you fast without chaos res). Good luck on rest of the run!
My first recommendation to all new players to Path of Exile is always to start with a character that you spec yourself. Experience the spectacle that is the passive tree and build how you think you should and play until you hit that wall that your build can't pass. That way, when you eventually look up a guide or build on UA-cam of wherever, you can see where you might have made mistakes and most of the time you immediately feel the power difference when you get to that same part where you struggle. Also get used to creating new characters and experimenting with builds and playstyles. It really makes you appreciate when a build just works perfectly. But REALLY enjoying your series so far. It's so nice to see someone who obviously have the ARPG know how, get baffled by things we take for granted now. ⭐
100% agree. I always tell people starting PoE is "play, build, fail, learn, play, build, fail, learn". Then repeat that a few more times. Been 12 years for me, still repeating that cycle.
Honestly the game has such a burden of knowledge that you can play it for hundreds of hours and still have no gdam clue what you are doing... I enjoy making my own builds but I've only managed to make a small handfull that actually function late game. Part of the problem is certain skills just are potato by endgame and you won't know it without looking it up... Going back to burden of knowledge, certain skills are just extra bad because they are nerfed due to interactions with certain support gems, so if you don't use it with those support gems you may as well not use the skill.
@@solomontetteh4134 this, by the time that new player hits the wall, they might just say fuck it, maybe my time is better spent elsewhere or they just get bored.
I Believe the next step is to download an item filter (recommending 'filterblade' semi-strict) so it hides the awful item-bases and reduces the size of others -also, dont forget to activate the health bars above the enemies and the players head in the options -also also, PLEASE, add a mobility gem (dash, flame dash, the list goes on...) into your build so you can dodge some attacks and move faster in maps -last but the most important one: When you defeated kitava, you lost permanently 30% of your resistances (chaos, fire, ice and lighting). starting in Act 6, things start to hit like a truck, so i would recommend adding some resistances to your gear by changing them, or by adding via crafting bench in your hideout
Something important I think maybe you've overlooked: always pick up items (even basic ones) that have at least 3 gem slots (one each of the red, blue, green) since they can be traded in at the vendor for a Chromatic Orb, which is a currency item that'll let you (randomly) change the colors of the gem slots on your gear.
You can try "Toxic Rain" if you want to keep the poison theme, maybe it will be more fitting than "Scourge Arrow". Also a small tip: chromatic orbs are used to re-roll colours of sockets, you can get some more if you sell an item with 3 connected sockets of diffrent colour on one item, just one item with connected RED + BLUE + GREEN in any order. That way even some white items are worth something.
I love this series... seen every part! You can right click on the stash tab and check that bottom checkmark the "affinity" thing, so when you hold ctrl and click on items, it sorts it into the correct tabs like gems, currency etc. Bind the steelskin skill to your left click, so when you move it always uses it :D
I absolutely love this series please keep going with it atleast till act 10. There’s so many times where I’ve cringed or yelled at the screen because of choices but ultimately realise, as long as your having fun, it fine One major game feature though is that if you hold down control you get 5 more skill slots, that’s where you should place all your buffs and auras
Love this series. Not going to give you any tips, you'll learn in time. Getting good laughs of the choices you do, entertainment at its peak. New season starts in a week, I hope you'll check it out.

@@lanmandragoran8337 I don't really like the saying that campaign is the tutorial. It's the old endgame of the game. For many people the campaign might be all they do in poe and are happy. Just hope he has enough fun that he will continue to the endgame. I'm much more entertained watching him play at his own pace with minimal help than watching someone who is getting backseated to hurry him into the endgame. I love Act 5. The Innocence fight is one of my favorite fights since there are attacks you actually have to make an effort to dodge. xD And the whole mechanic of hiding behind statues is so dope.
I really liked it the first few times. Now it is one of the bosses i dislike the most. The invulnerability time, when he spawns enemies a few at a time is quite annoying to most builds now. Great the first few times though.
@@Rurix48 Agreed, the invulnerability minion phase is definitely the worst part of the fight. Should be shorter, or just not have that phase and have minions slowly spawn throughout the fight.
Hi! I’ve been watching this series since the 1st Act and it’s been so much fun! Just a little tip since people have been spamming you to put points on life nodes :p the general rule of thumb is to have +300 hp for each act, e.g Act 1 = 300hp, Act 2 = 600hp etc until Act 10 = 3000hp. There are other things like resistances and armour/evasion but yeah that’s the main thing for life. Keep up the good work! You’re doing really well for going into the game blind!! 🧡
Not sure if you have it equipped or not but try supporting your Rain of Arrows with Chance to Poison support. It'd be a great addition with the ascendancy you just picked. Loving the series so far! Keep it up!
I made this comment on a previous video maybe an hour or two ago, but I think it's worth making again: use the search bars, particularly the one for the skill tree, you can search for health and poison and bow, and it'll highlight those nodes. The ones in the trade windows can also help to find support gems that might be relevant.
I enjoy this blind playhthrough a lot! Here's some tips and notes: - Act 6 will probably be a rough one, it's the biggest step in difficulty in the campaign and resistances starts to become pretty important (one of them in particular :)). - Ending act 5 gave you a -30% debuff to all resistances (like when you change difficulty in D2), so some of them might be in the negative now (and that hurts, like, a lot). - Usually for gearing during the campaign, look for damage on the weapon, and life / res on everything else (and movement speed on boots) - If you want to focus on poison, you need herald of agony up, otherwise I don't think you inflict any poisons on enemies (there's a support gem to add chance to poison, I don't remember if you used it). Caustic arrow for example inflicts chaos damage over time, but it's not poison damage. Poison is an ailment (like ignite for the fire equivalent), it also inflicts chaos damage over time, but it's via stacks that you put on the enemies when you hit them (herald of agony gives you a chance to inflict them on hit) - You can set stash tab afinity by right clicking on them so that when you ctrl + click an item to the stash, it goes in the right stash automatically - You can set an option to always show sockets on items instead of having to hover on them (it's very useful, but that's a preference) in Options > UI > Items section > Always Show Sockets That's all I can think of now, good luck and have fun :D
For steelskin you can link it with the support gem "Cast When Damage Taken" or you can keybind the skill to left mouse button so when your walking it'll activate on cooldown :)
For the fancy tabs you can turn on "affinity" so you can quickly move stuff from your inventory and it will go directly to the correct tab even if you're not on that tab currently
You can change your ascendancy, you'll want to look into item filters, and you are gonna lose it when you get toxic rain skill, also you get another bar of skills when you press ctrl that you can use for your auras
Scourge Arrow is a channeling skill, try hold on the channeling for a sec to do more damage, will spread more poison arrows. The all point of this skill is not needed click all time, click one and hold for complete the channeling and release the arrow, it will creates a bunch of spores on the ground, they blow and realease more small arrows, you can do a bunch of damage and will get a better clear speed. Just to this, see a far group of mobs, channelig the skill and realease, you dont need stack a full channeling for clear, but in boss or rare mobs you will do a pretty more damage. Well done sir, keep going
It has become a tradition to watch your PoE videos on Sunday, great content. In PoE there are a lot of one-shot mechanics as well, but most of these can be avoided once recognized. For example when fighting "Caesar" he shoots a slow moving projectile which splits into bunch of those little projectiles. The main projectile can be easily avoided, if not, it's a high chance of one shot. As for act 6, from here you'll have lower resistance (Thanks Kitava...) once of the things you can do is to open your stats and check defense tab to see how much resistance you have. You can easily add resistances in your hideout through crafting bench of most of your equipment (it is those recipies you have been unlocking)
There are stands near each room that when clicked show you where the door you're going through leads to during lab..it helps to look at those in lab so you're not running around aimlessly haha. Also, mana leech is a thing, you can get it on a piece of gear or there are leech nodes in the skill tree. Then you can drop the mana flask and get a different flask! Edit: also yes get a movement skill. You'll be surprised you've gone this far without one.
@@sebill5395 Yeah I thought about that after lol. I don't do poison builds really so I wasn't sure if there was much of an option for leech for his skill, like if it actually hits for damage or not.
Ive been playing this game since the closed beta, and putting myself in your shoes makes ma understand how overwhelming the game can be. I didnt realize how many mechanics a new player has to learn since for me they came gradually. Keep up the good work man, im enjoying this series very much.
12:42 You can change your Ascendancy. Run the first Lab. Respec your points in your Ascendancy class. Then choose something else. It's done all the time. ☮️
"if you are in a country with bad internet you are going to struggle against Lilith" - i've never felt more acknowledged, seriously lilith's one hit kill moves have a larger hitbox the higher ping you get i hope you and Frank the Raccoon continue to enjoy the game, and the not using guides for your playthrough is perfectly fine and the appeal of the series in my opinion
I've been playing the game for so long and run through the campaign so many times now that watching you notice all the small things I've passed over so many times is very cool. I never noticed the engravings on the ground and it's cool to see you enjoy them. Keep it up!
Just some stuff about the lore since you seem to enjoy it: you are not in any multiverse , it's the same world just time has passed and your actions have changed the world. You killed Innocence (who as a dick that was leading his cult of religious fanatics, remember the flags) which in turn freed Kitava (who unfortunately is an even bigger dick). You tried to kill Kitava, but failed and now the world is messed up with his followers running around making life worse for everyone. So you are now back to the zone of Act 1 , but the zone is not the same because of what transpired between acts 2 and 5.
Love the series so far and now realizing you are a soulsborne addict then I know you're in great hands with Path of exile because there's always going to be a sense of accomplishment getting beyond any walls you run up against just like those games. Also I have over 30,000 hours in this game and I have never gotten to max level. It's probably one of the things that makes grinding gear games what they are the mega grind that takes you from a pleb to a gigachad build Its a super fun ride going from zero to Hero and so many ways to get there. Obviously you're not opposed to being punished in a game as long as you can learn there is still progression. ^_^
@@NyxVellum real, took me a while to get over that, and I still do it whenever I take a week break or so from the game. Sometimes I feel like GGG intentionally did it to get people into the store lol
stumbled on your video (thanks youtube recommended) and I've really enjoyed it. No tips from me; you are doing great! You are experiencing the game the way that I experienced it. I think it's honestly the best way to do it, just as long as people feel ok with trying a new character with the knowledge they gained if they can't continue. The only comment I'll leave is that 'following a build' in this game is different than most games. Following a build is extremely difficult; you basically can't get everything a guide says to get, so you have to adapt with what you find. Sometimes the sockets don't line up so you improvise; sometimes you get a rare unique that's actually better than what the guide suggests. Sometimes you find your own changes that work with your playstyle better. For that reason I've shed my distaste for build guides because they end up feeling uniquely mine by the end anyway. Cheers for the video though, very fun to watch.
First of all, I want to thank you bcz in my 2000 hours of poe, I did not know that Kitava was the statue lmao. Secondly, I want to say you doing great. My first couple of builds (even with guides) I struggled a lot with damage and survivability (the worst part was act 6 for survivability as you will probably see), but youve done very good. Congrats and enjoy this very deep and addicting game :)
some auras do reserve a % of your mana, and some of them reserve specific amount depending on gem level. in some cases it's ok to lock gem level to avoid increased reservation. and you have to get a "clarity" aura (yes, it will also reserve your mana, buy the amount, but it will significantly increase your mana regen) if you constantly run out of mana. You can buy almost any gem since 3rd act, from Siossa in library that you skipped... (it's on NW from Scepter of God), and after act 5 you will unlock Lili Roth, who cal sell you any gem
A couple tips since your doing a poison themed build: - Get added chaos damage support! It will carry you pretty hard throughout the campaign - poison damage does damage based on the physical and chaos damage of the hit! So look out for added physical/chaos modifiers on your gear! Ex: adds 1-4 physical damage to attacks - poison is an ailment and does chaos damage over time! Look out for increased chaos damage, increased damage over time, or increased damage of ailments on your passive tree for a boost in dps! Edit: Amulets can give a lot of attributes to help you equip/level up your gems or help you meet the requirements to equip your gear! Ex: lapis amulet gives +30 intelligence just as a stand alone item with no modifiers! You can buy amulets super easy from the same vendors that give you gems! Just buy any, slap a orb of alchemy on it and you’re good to go!
Hi Nyx! To answer your question about dying, you will get infinite chances on boss fights or any area in the campaign when you die to go back into a boss fight or to clear an area. No spoilers, but starting in Part 2, there will be a very minimal consequence to dying now so you want to limit it, and while you can respawn infinitely to clear a boss/area now, that may not always be the case in the future…
Found you from your Last Epoch first impressions and then had to watch this entire PoE series. I love your style of first impressions/learning a game by playing. Will be watching along with any other games you decide to try out now.
Hey! Great series so far, I have been enjoying it. Just a tip get a dash type skill (there are few types) asap for mobility such as dodging attacks, avoid traps or scale terrains. Also you can put steel skin or molten shell on your left click so you can move and use them as you move this way you will free up 1 gem slot since you dont need to link cast on damage gem. Cheers! Looking forward for Act 6.
I've really been loving seeing the new players. This channel is particularly good and you are doing it the right way in my opinion. Brute force your way through and figure it out. Did that myself back in 2014 and here I am now, nearly 9,500 hours later. I love this game and love your approach. Keep at it!
Hey your series is really fun to watch :) Helpful comment: Turn your loot filter up to the next level if there are too many items on the floor. Then pressing Z is less of a chore! Also, turn on health bars for enemies in the options, then you can see how much damage you are doing. NeverSinks default loot filter comes with 6 tiers, you at least want low level white/blue items to be invisible with the level you go for (And later, low level yellow items too). I'd recommend Strict or Semi-Strict.
Love this series, couple tips: Right click on your new stash tabs and set the affninity, that way you can shify click stuff into your stash and it will automatically go to the correct tab. Put steelskin on left slick and it will cast on cooldown as you move. The amount of useless crap on the ground will keep growing, consider getting a lootfilter. Your can save a few skill points by only taking one "branch" out of the starter note (you're wasting 3 points right now)
Love your content man. Been playing this for a long time and I have to say I love watching people's first time reactions to the game. Some quick tips without any spoilers: - You could put your Steelskin (or any guard skill) on left click so anytime you move it activates (after cooldown ofc) - There are 2 passives that grant +1 additional arrow, I strongly recommend, can search on skill tree on top middle. - By the end of this act, I usualy invest a bit to max my resistances (cold/fire/lightning) because of whats to come. - Barrage is an excellent boss killer and good for hard to kill rare enemy (single target) Otherwise you are slaying it! Glad you like the game. Honestly its a learning curve, if you like a challenge then this game is for you :)
Hello, first of all, very happy to see new people playing this game blind! I just wanted to give you 2 quality of life suggestions: 1. You can set affinity on your premium stash tabs (such as currency tab) by right clicking and select the proper affinity. This makes it so when you add stuff to your stash, it automatically appears in the correct tab. 2. Heard you talking about steelskin. Put steelskin on your movement key (left click) instead of normal attack (which you never want to use anyway). Since this is a skill that does not require a cast animation, you will automatically activate steelskin all the time without having to think about it (given that you have mana enough for it, but that should not be a problem). I hope you enjoy the game!
Loving the series so far. I do not know if it has been mentioned yet, but if you right-click on a stash tab you can select a "dedicated use" for it. For instance on the currency tab you can check te box and every currency you ctrl-click with any stash tab open, will be put into the currency tab automatically.
act 5 hands down has the best background music about the innocence fight, you were doing fine since you only died to his most lethal attack which is a bullet hell where you're suppose to hide at the back of the statues or run to the opposite direction of the initial projectile so that the gaps from the bullet hell is wider and he usually has a tell on his dialogue: "I am your god" before he does it
The Labyrinth is really nice, as there's a Stash at every Trial, so you can pick stuff up, and dump it off, then go back for anything else you wanted to grab to sell.
Hint: Bind "Move only" to left mouse button, just assign the "footsteps" as you would do with any other skill. so you don't accidentially attack when you walk past/through enemies. Protip: For things you want to have up as often as possible without a automatic setup, you can bind them to left click as well, as long as they are on cd you'll walk normally.
Just got to say, I've been enjoying watching this series! As someone who is guilty of being dictated by "what the meta is", it is exciting watching you go through a game with your own goals and own choices. Its encouraging me to do the same and just play the game how I want to play.
@Csumbi they're called unique, not legendary. They have unique mechanics, not legendary utility. It's not that hard.
also the minion helm...
New boots:
+53 Life
+27% Fire resist
+14% Cold resist
+13% Lightning
Old Boots:
+15% Movement speed
I prefer to go fast... HAHAHA
Crafting is not a option.
Love the series
Wait... when did that happen?
Those were nice boots. Crafting is important - Just go to the hideout and make items better at the crafting bench.
GOTTA GO FAST BRRRR. Yeah I'll go crafting next time haha.
Also when he turned down the two-stone ring quest rewards because he had good rings already. I mean yeah, Le Heup of All is good, but Kaom's Sign not so much.
Most relatable decision honestly. I’ve played through the campaign like 80+ times and would take the move speed any day lol
dashes aren't just for avoiding damage, they also allow you to jump over gaps and elevation changes ^^ so you don't have to run around to find a path up to a ledge
This is such a breath of fresh air! I've been playing Path of Exile since 2013 and this series just brings me back to how it was back when everyhting wasn't "figured out". I love this so much, thank you!
Happy you like the series! Thanks for hanging out.
@@PowermongurThere is an option to set, that items will go to tabs without changing current tab - it is in tab option ;)
---
ADVICE
Kitava reduced your resistances by -30% at the end of Act 5.
---
BACKSEATING
There are three main ways to improve your Elemental resistances in the campaign that don't involve trading or farming new gear.
On top of the reduced resistances, I'd add that you'll start losing 5% experience with each death.
To add to the "talk to Lily Roth" advice, in act 6 she gives a sidequest that after completed allows you to buy ALL normal gems from her. That's the first thing mostly anyone should be doing in act 6, so avoid the desire to just start with the main quest.
Thank you for the tips and the kind words
Beautifully put
I don't ever comment, but wanted to let you know that I've been enjoying your series a lot, so thanks for that and keep up the great work!
Thank you! You're awesome!
Yes!! It’s so refreshing and interesting to watch.
Please keep it up!! ❤
I think I did it!
Yeah and loot filters just help visually a lot. Unless a million drops are fun to you.
Filterblade's semi strict (just put it in and never have a problem again.. unless screen gets cluttered again then go to strict..). It's funny how even the loot filter has it's own progression.
Yes loot filter helps a ton
There's actually a default loot filter for pc as well, but it's pretty bad. He should indeed use nerversink semistrict
watching this series while I have 4000+ hours into this game just hits different, i can see myself first playing this game back in 2018, it was hard, the amount of knowledge you get after your first completion of the 10 acts is insane, especially if you follow a guide on your next build, this will make you less worried about your wrong choices and never spend more than 10 refund points for the whole 10 acts you're going to go through next time you create a character, plus please don't ever delete your first character or fix it with a guide after you finish your acts, when you get to know the game well you'll get that nostalgia when you go back and see what you did with your first character, it's amazing when you'll feel how much knowledge you gained after some months of playing..
Powerful stuff. Thanks for hanging out with me. I really appreciate it.
I still kept 2 of my old HC characters :P 1 got to maps, 1 killed Atziri when she first came out :P. It’s not just the nostalgia, it’s also the sheer dedication and love you spent on those digital characters
It's STILL hard lol. No matter how much you know.

Of all the UA-camrs on this latest trend of trying PoE, this is the series I'm most excited for. Thanks for the continued content. Your chill personality and casual insight are a joy to listen to. Your editor is top notch as well. I hope you'll join us in the Affliction league with a new build.
Thanks for the kind words
Aura res could be nice too :)
Great tip! Thank you
@@NyxVellum one of the things you should check is your chance to poison in the offence menu when you click C, if its below 80-100% when you select scourge arrow you should probably look to get some on the passive skill tree or gems, it should make your build feel a lot smoother

I am, it's a lot of fun. Filters are coming up.
Act 6, has been, indeed, a struggle haha. Video is up on Saturday
and seriously watch out for resists (finishing act 5 gave you PERMANENT resist penalities) because it is akin of finishing Normal Difficulty in D2 and getting to Nightmare
It's painful watching orbs of fusing being used on 3 link items instead of 6 link :)
Love the series and can't wait to see you play through the rest of the Acts.
i hope he sees this because ..... theres gonna be alot of fire stuff ahead xD

One thing you can do, is, Open: Options>UI>Scroll down to "Items" and click the "Always Show Sockets" thing.
So you don't have to hold your mouse over the items equipped to see what sockets/links you have. :)
Also you can Hold Ctrl to swap skill bars. I usually put aura skills in the second bar so you can focus on the active skills on the main bar.
And another thing, you can put your "Steelskin" in the left mouse button slot, so that it'll activate on cooldown when you move around.
I'm enjoying watching this series! Hope you're having fun! :)
Great idea! Thank you.
@@deviant324 well he's gonna find out the hard way then! 😂
I checked, there were a lot of numbers...
lol when i first completed act5 and the penalty was being applied my chaos resistance went to negative 12%or something

the normal cap of eleres is 75%, please make sure you have it full, it's not so difficult as it could look like. it will hugely increase your survivability in future!
but, for chaos def.. try to make it at least 0% (not -75%)

The lack of blinking around the map drives me a little crazy.
very important note: finishing act 5 lowers PERMANENTLY all your resistances, chaos resistance included, so dont forget to invest more heavily in all that.
Important non-spoiler notes, though:
By the next time you play, the current Season will have ended, and your character and items will be moved to Standard league (aka the Eternal Realm).
Good luck!
Thanks for the tip!!
The one shots in poe tend to be very telegraphed and you will inevitably learn to dodge them
@@falsnamae3511 Depends on the boss. Uber Exarch balls for example just deal fuck you damage. They're an untyped skill that does secondary damage, so bypasses all dodge/block/ev/suppression by virtue of not belonging to a valid category. They can still be tanked of course, but the way to do so is via raw DR.
*7 jeweller's orbs.

Well that's basically how real players should act. Buy microtransaction even cheapest one once if the game is really fun and free
man i really hope you get millions of subscribers. You talk so fluently and engagingly i just love to watch your video.Hope you get growth in your channel.
I mean... that would be nice. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you for the kind words and the tips.
Thank you for watching my videos! It means the world to me.
Avoid linking support gems to auras because it increases the reservation cost
And try to look for travel skills
I didn't know about respecing ascendancy AND I'VE BEEN PLAYING SINCE 2016 !!!
@alidaraie you have to regret all your ascendancy points first, and each one takes 5 regrets.
1-try to put Steelskin on the left click of the mouse so it's always get activated while you are walking
2- if you found an item with all the colors that are linked together you can sell the item for a chromatic orb
3- if you pressed right click on a stash tap you can decide what goes there for example in the currency stash you check on currency so it directly send them to that stash
4-i know you have a loot filter but maybe try to put a stronger filter so the white and the blue items doesn't show up on your screen
5-keep playing the game without a build guide at least for the first time so you can enjoy the game and then maybe the second character you can look for a guide if you want
Been playing the game on an off since betrayal, and I never thought about having steelskin on LMB, always had walk on it excert for vortex builds. How am I so dense...
4 - yeah, I think he put on the filter labeled "normal"? Semi-strict should be the default for everybody pretty much. Good from level 1 to 90.

@@TheShitpostExperience Well.. not for Vortex anymore :sadge: for the next league Vortex will have a 0.75s cast time
It's so entertaining to watch your series. I love your enthusiasm about the game.
Thank you so much.
12:50. You can switch ascendancies. For that you need to click altar of ascendancy (finish a lab) without having ascendancy points allocated (respeccing one ascendancy point is 5 orbs of regret). Since you have access to stash, however, you can go through lab first and then begin regretting everything. And as it doesn't matter which lab you go through, most people do it in normal lab anyway, which is the easiest and shortest one
do you realize how far away 10 regret orbs is for someone who plays an act a week?

better than letting him think he is stuck with PathFinder forever.
Seeing him decide not to go Raider because the art didn't have a bow was an interesting insight into how people pick classes too, as raider is very generic power. Pathfinder was a good choice though, and a very powerful ascendancy but has those flask stipulations.
@@RG32822 I wish I was the type of person who picks classes based on jpegs. I spend hours in pob. It sucks.
Keep it up! I love your Path of Exile videos series! Can't wait to see all acts walkthrough! Good luck with part 2
Thank you very much.
My wife kept asking if Ballista Ballista guy has uploaded act 5. Now she can shut up.
Congrats on beating Part 1! Keep in mind that once you get to maps (so, endgame after Act 10), GGG owns your soul.
Two things to be aware of:
First one is that you missed an optional quest.
And some additional fluff:
Back in 3.0 - the last big expansion - is when we got the current questing storyline.
So fun to watch someone try something new :)
I will leave one tip: Beating Kitava has "cursed" you so you now have permanent -30% elemental and chaos resistances (aka take more lightning, cold, fire and poison damage).
OH nooooo, that's why I get killed so fast haha
@@NyxVellum yup, i didint realise that until i got to the endgame on my first playthrough (which i also did completely blind)
Not everyone has that much free time on their hands though
@@solomontetteh4134 this, by the time that new player hits the wall, they might just say fuck it, maybe my time is better spent elsewhere or they just get bored.
I Believe the next step is to download an item filter (recommending 'filterblade' semi-strict) so it hides the awful item-bases and reduces the size of others
-also, dont forget to activate the health bars above the enemies and the players head in the options
-also also, PLEASE, add a mobility gem (dash, flame dash, the list goes on...) into your build so you can dodge some attacks and move faster in maps
-last but the most important one:
When you defeated kitava, you lost permanently 30% of your resistances (chaos, fire, ice and lighting). starting in Act 6, things start to hit like a truck, so i would recommend adding some resistances to your gear by changing them, or by adding via crafting bench in your hideout
6:32 "I need the Orb of Alchemy". 30 sec later 7:03 Leaves Alchemy Orb on the ground 😂😂
yeah i noticed that too xdd
He's been busy talking so ... Kinda slipped
Chaos dot and poison dot is differing things. Yes, they do chaos damage but.....
Pf has only 2 viable skills to fit poison build
Yes, any flask (including health and mana) counts as active, generally as long as that little bar is showing under them.
There’s so many times where I’ve cringed or yelled at the screen because of choices but ultimately realise, as long as your having fun, it fine
One major game feature though is that if you hold down control you get 5 more skill slots, that’s where you should place all your buffs and auras

@@lanmandragoran8337 I don't really like the saying that campaign is the tutorial. It's the old endgame of the game. For many people the campaign might be all they do in poe and are happy. I know it's a joke, but at the same time it probably doesn't sound like that to new players.
He could be far, but I wouldn't hurry him up for no reason. Just hope he has enough fun that he will continue to the endgame. I'm much more entertained watching him play at his own pace with minimal help than watching someone who is getting backseated to hurry him into the endgame.
He might be very stuck at late campaign because he doesn't seem to pay attention to elemental resistances at all. I hope it doesn't discourage him from continuing.

If you want to clean up bodies to look at the floor, you can get Detonate Dead in act 1 to blow them up and clean the floor a bit.
Innocence is always some sort of benchmark for me to check if a build works or not
that boss ramps up the difficulty a lot
(edit: typo)
I enjoy this blind playhthrough a lot! Here's some tips and notes:
- Act 6 will probably be a rough one, it's the biggest step in difficulty in the campaign and resistances starts to become pretty important (one of them in particular :)).
- Ending act 5 gave you a -30% debuff to all resistances (like when you change difficulty in D2), so some of them might be in the negative now (and that hurts, like, a lot).
- Usually for gearing during the campaign, look for damage on the weapon, and life / res on everything else (and movement speed on boots)
- If you want to focus on poison, you need herald of agony up, otherwise I don't think you inflict any poisons on enemies (there's a support gem to add chance to poison, I don't remember if you used it). Caustic arrow for example inflicts chaos damage over time, but it's not poison damage. Poison is an ailment (like ignite for the fire equivalent), it also inflicts chaos damage over time, but it's via stacks that you put on the enemies when you hit them (herald of agony gives you a chance to inflict them on hit)
- You can set stash tab afinity by right clicking on them so that when you ctrl + click an item to the stash, it goes in the right stash automatically
- You can set an option to always show sockets on items instead of having to hover on them (it's very useful, but that's a preference) in Options > UI > Items section > Always Show Sockets
That's all I can think of now, good luck and have fun :D
For steelskin you can link it with the support gem "Cast When Damage Taken" or you can keybind the skill to left mouse button so when your walking it'll activate on cooldown :)
That's exactly what he did in this video
he did that at 30:10 lol
Lol yeah I typed this comment before finishing the video XD @@tabularasa8769
For the fancy tabs you can turn on "affinity" so you can quickly move stuff from your inventory and it will go directly to the correct tab even if you're not on that tab currently
You can change your ascendancy, you'll want to look into item filters, and you are gonna lose it when you get toxic rain skill, also you get another bar of skills when you press ctrl that you can use for your auras
I would look into putting mana reservation auras on the second skill bar
Scourge Arrow is a channeling skill, try hold on the channeling for a sec to do more damage, will spread more poison arrows. The all point of this skill is not needed click all time, click one and hold for complete the channeling and release the arrow, it will creates a bunch of spores on the ground, they blow and realease more small arrows, you can do a bunch of damage and will get a better clear speed. Just to this, see a far group of mobs, channelig the skill and realease, you dont need stack a full channeling for clear, but in boss or rare mobs you will do a pretty more damage.
Well done sir, keep going
Ah yes, Kitava.
The tutorial boss
He is a map Boss, come on
It has become a tradition to watch your PoE videos on Sunday, great content.
You'll be surprised you've gone this far without one.
you need to stack MANY sources of mana leech for it to work on poison build tho, esecially on scourge arrow lol
Keep up the good work man, im enjoying this series very much.

i hope you and Frank the Raccoon continue to enjoy the game, and the not using guides for your playthrough is perfectly fine and the appeal of the series in my opinion
It's probably one of the things that makes grinding gear games what they are the mega grind that takes you from a pleb to a gigachad build
Its a super fun ride going from zero to Hero and so many ways to get there.

Thanks again for the tips my friend.
As someone who has played PoE since launch, this series is just absolutely gold. I love it. Can't wait to see the next video!
A couple tips since your doing a poison themed build:
- Get added chaos damage support! It will carry you pretty hard throughout the campaign
- poison damage does damage based on the physical and chaos damage of the hit! So look out for added physical/chaos modifiers on your gear! Ex: adds 1-4 physical damage to attacks
- poison is an ailment and does chaos damage over time!
Thanks for the tips!
Keep at it!
OH MY GOD YOU NEED TO DO EPISODES EACH DAY! IM CRAVING FOR THIS CONTENT OF YOURS!
Hey your series is really fun to watch :) Helpful comment:
Turn your loot filter up to the next level if there are too many items on the floor.
Love this series, couple tips:
Right click on your new stash tabs and set the affninity, that way you can shify click stuff into your stash and it will automatically go to the correct tab.
Some quick tips without any spoilers:
- You could put your Steelskin (or any guard skill) on left click so anytime you move it activates (after cooldown ofc)
- There are 2 passives that grant +1 additional arrow, I strongly recommend, can search on skill tree on top middle.
- By the end of this act, I usualy invest a bit to max my resistances (cold/fire/lightning) because of whats to come.
- Barrage is an excellent boss killer and good for hard to kill rare enemy (single target)
Otherwise you are slaying it! Glad you like the game.
Honestly its a learning curve, if you like a challenge then this game is for you :)
Hello, first of all, very happy to see new people playing this game blind!
I just wanted to give you 2 quality of life suggestions:
For instance on the currency tab you can check te box and every currency you ctrl-click with any stash tab open, will be put into the currency tab automatically.
act 5 hands down has the best background music
about the innocence fight, you were doing fine since you only died to his most lethal attack which is a bullet hell where you're suppose to hide at the back of the statues or run to the opposite direction of the initial projectile so that the gaps from the bullet hell is wider and he usually has a tell on his dialogue: "I am your god" before he does it
The Labyrinth is really nice, as there's a Stash at every Trial, so you can pick stuff up, and dump it off, then go back for anything else you wanted to grab to sell.
