Hey Todd, I've been missing some Duka Heritage lately so I swung on by and watched your last video again. It sure was a pretty one. I hope you and your family have been doing well. If my memory serves me correctly, (let's face it, it doesn't have a good track record) you were waiting on a new lathe that got stuck somewhere? Anyway, hopefully you got your new lathe by now if that's the case. Just a small note of encouragement, well wishes, and appreciation for team Duka Heritage. Hope to see you soon. Take care in the meantime. 💕
Gotta tell you, I've always very much enjoyed seeing your projects. I've learned, I've turned and I've created my own pieces. I sure do miss seeing more your videos. I pray you and your family are well. Come back soon ✌🏻
I was happy to see that you're back you've been gone for so long .I like many have been praying for you and your family ,I see that you finally got yourself a new lathe I remember you telling me you were waiting on one to be delivered to you ,I hope you got one you were researching and dreaming about .Anyway it's great to see you back making great turnings again. Happy New Year !
Very beautiful!!! Great job turning it and making it! I don't think the wife is going to let that one out of the house LOL Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Oh my goodness that is absolutely stunning. I love the way the blue resin used ISN'T opaque. Finishes the bowl off beautifully! p.s. more than likely I don't watch those guys channels you're talkin about. Yes beautiful wood is gorgeous and maybe more so because I'm a woman. But definitely like colored resin and wood every time hands down! It just gives it that something extra special and unique!
After seeing how it turned out after the resin pour, I honestly think I’d be hesitant to turn it from there! The resin has only added to this piece and it has turned out beautifully!
@@msudawgma I’ve always thought Todd was born with a chisel in one hand and a wood blank in the other. And I can’t quite find the line between Todd being born with a gift or if he IS the gift.
@@shaunfelton2046, That’s quite a complement; I don't know Todd, I didn't even know his name. I've seen his pretty, loving wife and precious little girl on occasion, and a teenage boy that hangs with him sometimes. I haven't figured out yet that relationship yet, I can just tell there is one, given the amount of respect between them. I’ve only been watching Todd a couple of months and have enjoyed watching his interaction with his family, it’s very refreshing. I couldn’t explain it if I had to, he just seems to enjoy everything he creates, big or small. And the pride he shows in his work is humble. That’s definitely a gift. God Bless!
Very spectacular looking Todd. I especially like the look of the bottom. The finish is amazing as well and it seems you used all the sanding paste made on this one. Sure did the trick. I like it a lot! Gary
Beautiful bowl! I hope that you can ensure your health and safety when working to wear a dust mask. I tried the BASE CAMP masks. They are a very good choice and cost-effective.
This is absolutely magnificent and spectacular and stunningly beautiful. Wow I missed watching my favorite videos everything all you guys do and Kim. I love it love it love it love it.
Personally I think the resin pour for this piece turned out excellent. When you have a piece with such huge voids you would have ended up with a much smaller finished piece, losing all that beautiful figured burl in the process. The light blue resin adds to the beauty of the finished work highlighting the complex burl figuring. Awesome piece! 😃👍
Wow! That is beautiful. I love resin in wood turning projects. I tend to gravitate towards those the most. I really like the pale blue color resin you chose.
Without resin, I don't see what you could've done with this. It looks amazing Todd! Thanks for sharing your creativity with me again. Stay safe, Vickie PS hey Shannon
Loved this one. I had a little extra fun watching this time, as I started playing that game that you play when clouds are passing over in a blue sky, and you try to see what image they take on. Every time you stopped it turning, the blue in the bottom had a different shape! For the record, I loved the way you combined the resin and the wood, and produced something so beautiful, that might otherwise have been discarded.
Some really good wood turners turn things(really special pieces of wood) that could have been so much more because they refuse to use resin. Don't get caught in the Undertow. Great job
Duka, how is your health? Are you all right? I miss your work... you are a real master!

I've watched a lot of turners and I think he's got a special gift from his Creator. He loves his family and he loves his work.

I love the swirl in the resin. Spot on
Most magnificent master peice from a master wood worker
Thank you so much Michael for the kind words. 😊
Stunning, that burl is fantastic. Thanks for sharing
I truly appreciate your application of resin in your projects. You always seem to hi light the wood and never detract from the wood. Keep them coming!
Absolutely Beautiful Piece Todd. Without the resin it would be Beautiful but it would have a hole in it.
Todd gorgeous my wife wants it. Beautifully balanced you did this on justice. Like I have told you before you have an eye for amazing work.
Thank you Kevin!
Oh, so gorgeous! Congrats to the winner!
The resin is nice when it's not too loud. You gave it just enough character to make it beautiful.
Hey bud, been away for a while.
You're still the master!
Another beautiful turn … you are an amazing tuner your work shows that .
Thank you so much Angela! 😊
@@dukaheritage9445 you’re very welcome …
Beautiful piece. Excellent use of resin to compliment rather than become the main feature. Love it b

You enhanced the beauty of the wood by the use of that lovely light coloured resin. So very pretty.

The beauty that was in this burl is absolutely 💯 beautiful & was only enhanced by the resin & your talent.
Thank you Lyle!
Beautiful bowl! Just enough resin to make a functional piece, without overwhelming the burl. Good job!

Really beautiful, Todd. I agree that the resin was a perfect accent without taking away from the wood beauty. Take care.
Bill
Thank you Bill!
Beautiful Piece Brother!
