- It finally has happened. Thanks to the diamonds from the Big Wood Firework display, today on Hermitcraft Season 10 we create a brand new Firework shop, Cuboom Fireworks. This shop has the goal of making this the biggest firework season in the history of Hermitcraft. This shop comes complete with testing range, minigame, rocket garden, and lots more. I hope you enjoy.

Cub truly made those permits great, vanilla goat horns aren't all that exciting once the novelty wore off a couple updates ago, and explosive rockets are easy to forget about. But Cub put in the effort and made those permits exciting and valuable.
Something Cub has always been the best at; but has especially shined with this season is his ability to bring life and excitement to otherwise under looked and seemingly “boring” game mechanics.
The museum last season, and especially his shops this season have really brought tons of excitement and joy to the hermits regarding aspects of the game WE ALL overlook and largely ignore. Cub moreso than any other hermit has had me take a step back and rethink how I approach this game, and I am extremely appreciative of that. There are so many incredible aspects and faucets of this game that I have ignored in the past that I never would have truly appreciated until watching Cub bring light to them.
The hermit fireworks section would look so much better with Hermit heads. Just a suggestion!

Gem has several to spare in a chest by her PVP beach, I'm sure she could work out a deal for the ones that look "too futuristic" for her to decorate with.
Cub. The fact you opened the bigger firework shop without a big firework show... it blows me away. You can’t let yourself be outdone by your own display for big wood when you have the firework shop. Your shop should have the biggest. At least in my opinion.

Someone mentioned how Cub could have a demonstration of every hermit firework and hermits guess which is whose. That could be done on the roof with the viewing space. Put one of each in the dispensers and have them be chosen at random.
Cub's greatest competitor for firework sales is Cub's propensity for giving away huge quantities of free fireworks.
I'm really glad Cub got the fireworks permit because any other hermit would try to make money from it and nobody would ever buy fireworks for even the break-even cost, let alone for a profit. You're the best, Cub :-)
you should make a horn or music disc that has audio pulled from the Tango commercial and have it set to go off randomly in the shopping district to continuously advertise your fireworks shop.

Maybe put some hoppers under the floor? Otherwise you may end up losing all those dropped fireworks when people die. And then people cant go in again to pick up their dropped fireworks
I think Cub has become a favorite hermit of mine in very short time. His gusto for fireworks is unmatched.
If I hadn't been watching him since Season 4, I think his deviousness with Tegg among other things in Season 8 would have definitely got me watching, or even Concorp in Season 6.

I'm relatively new to Hermitcraft, and I've only really just started watching Cub. Gotta say, I don't regret adding him to my watch list.
Cub was the first Hermit I started watching, and the only Hermit that I never miss an episode of.

At some point, you should host a "Blast from the Past" event where you sell the best seasonal fireworks.
One of my favorite parts about cub is how he goes all out.

You're opening it up with "omg we actually sold white glass this is a miracle" so nonchalantly I bursted out laughing that's so good.
Love the finished main shop already.
Maybe set up a way to get your fireworks back if they die like a Hopper minecarts under the floor that get set off once the door closes
I think if he did that the game would have no consequences for dying and wouldn't be as fun
@@jolima7515i think they mean CUB gets the fireworks back instead of them dropping on the ground if the customer dies. It also could prevent someone just paying 1 more diamond immediately and going in to retrieve their own bits.

#glassShop I hope the glass collective decide to put an art-museum style structure encasing the current set up. Just pillars and glass should do it. The whole grouping just has that pop-art vibe. ❤ Or maybe a museum-garden, sort of like the sculpture garden at the Hirshhorn Museum (Smithsonian) in Washington, DC. Could be cool.
Suggestion for the rocket room, add some glass to the wall so the hermit can see in when it explodes and see the death they missed. Because right now they can only see through the iron door. I would love to see the fireworks you used to almost kill the hermits
there's already a skylight for that purpose
maybe it's better with iron trapdoor. because when Cub look into the room from the skylight the particles aren't loaded
@sammiegriffin9886 but there's something to be said for being able to watch the instant death animation that would have been obscured by particles. 😝
I mean, you could do a multiplayer setup with maybe fewer in the chests, and a lectern to indicate number of players. The door doesn't open until it gets that number of diamonds, and then maybe you watch your comrades die behind you.
Or add a repeating notebook pulse, bass drum, maybe, to play during the game to add tension. Make its tempo random. And I'm sure cub could figure out a way to change the sound for the last two or three times before the door closes, just to give the tiniest chance to a quick hermit.
This could be a frickin' diamond FARM. 😆

As a suggestion to your testing range, maybe add the dark patterned room like the one you have in your factory in one or both the cabins at the roof. Absolutely love the design and the minigame btw.

Hey Cub, if you place a hopper minecart and rails underneath the floor - replacing the concrete powder and moving the redstone down 2 blocks, you could collect the rockets dropped by dead hermits.

the fireworks shop reminds me of one of those shops you walk into and there is stuff everywhere and you wonder and browse for a while... ending up buying more than you intended to
Here is a sales-boosting idea: Include a watchtower with supplemental Crossbows in the shop. And of cause fireworks for sale, to gain the attention other Hermit's roaming the shopping district.
I love that you have thought of every detail for your future customers. It is an entire shopping EXPERIENCE
I like how cub has made the game about fireworks rather than building
In your shop, rig the diamond blocks with a firework trap. If they get removed … Bang! Nothing big enough to destroy anything, just enough to scare them.

Cuboom fireworks single-handedly fighting minecraft inflation by removing diamonds from the hermit economy.
I came from Grian last video, episode 17 of Hermitcraft season 10 ( spoilers: the episode were he created an hole in magic mountain ), at the end they found a Cub’s secret lair, the 44#. I searched in Cub’s latest video to see if he showed the lair, but i’m more than happy after seeing the firework show, i didn’t even know it happened, and i’m just happy, but, as i said, really really happy, this reminded me why i love Hermitcraft so much, i’m one step to having some tears drop. Thanks Cub, thanks to every single Hermit, thanks Hermitcraft.

The firework test range should be relocated so that the giant static firework in the sky isn't in the background.

I think you can get a robbery-themed name for the minigame, because it kinda feels this way - you pay less and get as much as you get in time
the fireworks garden is awesome and im glad you kept it. it always reminds me a lot of the chihuly garden and glass exhibitions
Cub, for stocking the shop and running the machine orders, you should have a writable book for each. In one you have Orders to put in the rocket machine, like: red s ball/f3/3 stks, yel creep/f1/5 stks, etc and leave it near the rocket machine where you can tick off the ones done. The other one you have at the shop and put in it what the chests are needing. That way you don't have to run back and fro trying to remember or see what's needed. Just take one of the books to the other place and fill out the next order.

The testing area has a bit of a weak point: With your enormous firework glass insanity in the sky the contrast is reduced when watching the test explosions.
In the dash viewing platform you could put a light indicator so the viewer knows how much time is left but the person in the room doesn't know how much is left- just to build suspense
Since Gem and Joël are starting a fight club, I was kinda expecting a secret crossbow-fireworkrocket fight club under the cuboom shop. The little pont chest is perfect for triggering a secret entrance.

I feel like a little armorstand magic could help to make the rockets in the garden point upward instead of laying on their sides. Love the shop!
What if you used 1-break fireworks if the timer runs out instead of 3-break. People would last longer in the chamber and get to experience more firsthand firework particle goodness. Also, put a pressure plate outside the room so it disables the fireworks inside the chamber if someone makes it out successfully, thus saving you fireworks.

Get a copy of the “on hold” music and have it play during the looting phase… then cut off just before like musical chairs.
You could also have a hopper minecart underneath to recollect drops.
A suggestion for an area of Cuboom is a section where hermits can make their own fireworks with a machine kind of like Build a Bear! :3
It could be cool if the firework garden became a space for limited edition fireworks or special offer fireworks

i think having a diy area would be cool press button for dye shape whatever stuff flies into something and autocrafts into fireworks!
awesome video! I love the shop! I would like to suggest having birthday fireworks always stocked in the 'seasonal' section so the hermits can just stop by on their birthday week or day to use them :)

I was thinking at the top of those two pillars flanking the entrance wall, you could do two large firework statues.
Should do a firework show button, put in a dimond get a 30 second fireworks show.
You know what'd cool? If you could load an assortment of fireworks into a bundle and right-click the bundle on the ground to get a random firework to deploy
Another suggestion is to have the starry firework testing/viewing area from the factory in the small huts on the roof.
No need to be secretive, Cub. Everyone knows what the chest in the lake does. It freezes over the lake, trapping you inside. 😁

It looks amazing. Fun game too. It looks like you made a firestation themed building. Maybe trade one of the arches and turn it into a fire truck coming out of the garage would be a cool external feature.

Cub, you are awesome! One change I might suggest is hoppers and carpets on the floor of your mini game so the rockets are not on the floor already for the second attempt. I know that would be my strategy. lol :)
Cuboom is probably one of the best shops in Hermitcraft... and worst at the same time since it's not making any diamonds whatsoever, it's even losing more... they really need to change the Trail requirements and the creeper head XD

Great work Cub! Only comment I have is the test area on the roof should be flipped around so the giant firework does not distort the view of the firework being tested. The giant one in the sky made it difficult to see the ones fired off in my opinion.

Idea for the test area and bleachers: a bracket competition with the special hermit fireworks. Like March madness (college basketball) but Fireworks Madness. Collaboration with as many Hermits as you can. Basically set off two different fireworks and have the people in the bleachers decide/vote/score

Cub you should put a banner on the entrance side. You could do a 1 letter going down to add another feature matching the other hermits! Love the build
Not sure this is possible, but the mention of mini games gave me this idea: what if you had all the components available and you call out a specific firework. First person to successfully craft that specific one wins
Easy enough have a glass wall and droppers to drop down the ingredients. gunpowder for flight, the dye and the special effect then for complexity have multiple breaks

the fireworks outside should be white-red-white like the ones inside imo, since any minecraft mind will see red-white-red and instantly think of tnt instead, so the other way around would be more fitting for branding purposes.
I think it might be good if you let hermits buy a bundle that they can fill with several of the basic fireworks, like how they do at some candy shops.
A rick roll horn would be AMAZING, but i feel like that might be a copyright strike..... would still be fun to mess with hermits with, even if it cant end up in videos lol
