Personally I love the grind. I haven't got the game yet, but it's so satisfying being an ass player and a few months in when you've played a few hundred games or whatever you're actually better. I hate the idea you can just play for 20 hours and spend $50 and you're a max ability player. Progression is so important for a game that lasts a whole year. I want to feel like the player is growing and improving just like you would in real life by getting minutes on the court / in the gym.

I honestly think that 2k needs to buff the small forwards and the gameplay speed. It sucks that people are gonna resort to make a two guard at 6’7 because of the stats. But other than that, I think it’s a W.
S L Exactly right, it’s like the taller you are the slower the player and worse your attributes are. No hate towards the guards cause I also like to play the two guard just as much as a SF, but why do people lose so much off their attributes as you go up one position?!
@@lebabyjames2945 Yea seemingly, except it seems like point guards get less of a speed nerf when you make them up to 6' 5. for shooting guards anything above 6'6 and you start to have problems. my build right now is a pure playmaker 6'5 point guard. its the harden build. he has 56 badge points and 90+ speed accel and vert 88. 88 layups 80 dunk alongside 81 mid and 78 three. with 5 defensive badges and 14 shooting points so he can still have clamps gold and other things.

2k is kinda getting better every year, the way the players move is better.. you can split double teams without loosing the ball as much and you can turn corners without the ball switching to your other hand, great game so far..
I mean, if you have this build and you are matched against a point guard that put all his potential points on defense you should be blowing right by him. But that shouldn't be the case with lockdowns or two-way archetypes

Like this build out the gate starts with 71 speed and 65 acceleration even in last 2k that was slow as hell so the bigger players are gonna feel slower. Lebron is fast but he's not keeping up with John wall. Also I think the blow bys people keep talking about are because their defense is too low. I get blown by but my player perimeter defense and lateral quickness is a 70, that's not great so the 80+ speed guard will blow by me simple. Listen your team will be random and people won't help on defense so you'll get scored on so score back because most of the community will have offense minded builds anyway. Sacrifice the 80 dunk for a 70 or the 90 three for an 83 to get better defense that's really all you can do. Because in the long run all the patches will cause nothing but oh this is op now because it does everything well and it's not fair, however the complainers are the ones who wanted it that way 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

2 critiques about this game: 1. There are too big of penalties to altering your character's size. 2. I feel like I'll be a 91 overall with like 6 badges unlocked, because the badge repping system is too slow.
Lebron should not have a 71 perimeter defense 😂😂😂😂 if anything hes a better rebounder now than perimeter defender he averages 8 a game. Your post hook and post fadeaway shouldve gone to your block steals and defensive rebounding
If you look at a players ratings in game and mimic them but negate 4 points for the stats you can match so at 99 it’ll be the actual number you’ll pretty much get the superstar as the 1st comparison..I’ve done it for lebron on two different pie charts..joes build offers the most badges it seems..the builds I played with offered more stats into defense but fewer badges..
The build is great man. Thumbs up on this. Real quick though do you just recommend like you said just play Mycareer for those 8 hours rather than hit my park.

You lose like 15 speed and 10 ballhandling making a 6 7 sg, the stats are better on a 6'5 shooting guard of course
