I am a computer science final year student and we as a group decided to build an Android application that can demonstrate various machine learning models on a given data set using tensor flow lite ..... Not only our teachers didn't understand our project they have zero knowledge about coding an application so no help from mentor side... We presented our app last semester and during the presentation they were clueless to what our project was and were given a B grade where as the group that bought an adrino based project were given an O... Salute to Indian education
It's India's poor mentality on education. A boastful degree and a 9 to 5 job is what they can ever think of. The reason we have such a situation is because students and parents forget that engineers are the creators of a country and they need to know much more than rote learning through 4 years.

95% of the teachers in india are useless. They don't even know anything about the subjects they're teaching us, they just repeat everything written in books and ask us to cram things up . Most of them are failures in their field and landed in teaching field because either they couldn't find any other job. You have to pass exam and interview to become a civil servant but just a useless degree to become teacher. I have never met a person who has passion to become a teacherand worked hard for it . All good teachers are owned by private coaching institutes. Even after all of that if there is a good teacher who wants to help you give some real skills and knowledge the burden of stupid system and outdated syllabus which they have to complete in given time won't leave any chance for them and students.

I can relate to that, in this week I want to complete my certification course for MOOCs in Interactive Computer Graphics. To complete the course I must pass all the quizzes and one of the questions was a cantilever problem. Being a naive computer engineering student, I thought a civil engineering faculty could help me. *He answered that he doesn't know when he realized the department related to the subject (Computer Science, surprise) despite explaining everything through a Free Body Diagram to solve a physics problem.* Back at home, all of a sudden, I solved it within a minute after failing for like 9 times 😅. This shows how inept the lecturers are in universities in India.
I agree. There was one lecturer who taught us dbms in our university and she was gold medalist from India’s renowned university but the problem was she couldn’t relate the teaching with real application.
My husband got a PhD from one of the top univs in USA. He gave up a well paid job in the US to pursue his passion for teaching. Instead of utilizing his skill set, the university dumped a class of 200+ students on him with a rigorous curriculum and with no or little scope to guide the students towards research or proficiency in coding.. I know a handful of other professors in a similar situation where they came back to India to serve and help the students but they are being slapped with unnecessary and burdensome tasks.. how is a teacher expected to teach 200 students at once ? How much time can he spare to clear their doubts or to take individual interest in case they need extra push ? University on the other hand is happy charging the students Lakhs of money in tuition fees which obviously is not getting converted into a quality learning experience.
Hi, I'm the reporter for this story. Thanks for your comment! It's unfortunate that the student-teacher ratio is being ignored completely. That explains why India is churning out unemployable graduates every year. Do share more details about the institution, if possible, at akanksha.kumar@thequint.com
Basically it is also happens in Higher secondary level classes there is more 250+ students settings in a classese and learn nothing just make noise and time gone
Woman, stop lying. Which university did he get his PhD thesis and what subject. To me it looks like you are cooking stories or your husband was asked to leave.
90s kids engineering bubble....i hope the 2k kids are more aware of it...i hope parents will consider other fields... in a society every field is equally important....
Recently mass resignations have taken place across the world, I told them that about its social relevance I highlighted mainly 2 points 1) depletion of environment, natural resources etc and overdevelopment etc because of it 2) the stand ppl took against abuse, bad tone, loud language ,disrespect etc etc in society They understood but with a lot of arguments , ppl all across the country are ready to argue, they have turned into pure evil If that is also something ppl don't priortise, agree to,forget parents allowing you to do what you want

@@akankshablue Hello 'Reporter'. Kindly do a proper background check of the people you are interviewing before putting up such videos with a dramatic music. I know atleast one of the persons being interviewed here who's lying straight through his teeth. Peace.
I feel sorry for them. They've been conned. There is no better way to put it. But, we need to blame all parties involved. It looks like we are letting one of the important culprits out of the discussion: 'Parents'. Students are forced to do engineering, not because they are passionate, but because their parents forced them to. It's a prestige issue for the parents. Anyone who is forced to do something that they are not passionate about can at best can only do a mediocre job. Maybe 20 years back a mediocre engineer might get a career. Not anymore.

Stop blaming parents on this one, they only thought that Engineering was best for their kids because even Mr Sharma sent his kids to Engineering institutes... The notion the society created that "Only Degrees get you Jobs" and Engineering happens to be the most easiest Degree to get are the main Culprits behind this Terrible Tragedy... Not everything is parents fault, the Mass Majority of people and their Trend fetish are blame here...
Actually you have to blame the whole education system. Indian education system places too much value on the sciences and not enough on technical/on job skills. That's why parents are led to believe that there is no future for their kid if he/she doesn't go for engineering/medicine.
Students don't know other jobs from science stream. And it's difficult to find passion when u have spent ur whole childhood just mugging up books and scoring decent marks. Aur kuchh bachchon ko toh vo bhi nasseb nhi hota. Parents agar bolein ki theek hai engineering mat karo fir.... Hume khud nhi pta hume kya karna hai. Aur jinko apna passion pta hai they are afraid bcz humari society unko encourage nhi krti.
Dare you lay a finger on the citizens of once great nation. Fucking administration and politicians are only people to blame. Look at the video, the first guy, do you even think if his parents know what is engineering about? As the Rao committee warned back in 2003, it id governments job to regulate education with curriculum, methodology, innovations and diversity and both the parties, especially BJP has failed miraculously...

@@TheQuint there is a concept of fake placement. The college will give 1lakh to the company for the student, so that they can show that in the prospectus. And the candidate is supposed placed for 10K for 6 months. After 6 months he will be kicked out, showing lack of skills. Thus the Company earns 40K from that 1lakh and the College grabs all the donations, admission fees, moreover could show 90% placement. Since nobody is to blame, after the candidate gets kicked out after 6 months.

This is sad and the reality is that I am also a part of it. This is going to be harsh . Out of every 100 engineering graduates from private colleges only 15 get jobs in their core branches in their respective colleges(campus placement) Of the remaining (100-15=85) , 20 graduates get job in private companies(with jobs like IT , marketing, bpo, kpo, customer support etc.) after wandering for about 1 year to 3 years. Also 80% of them do not get job in the field in which they graduated. Of the remaining (85-20=65) , 50 prepare for govt. Jobs like banking,SSC, civil services, gate,MBA etc. In these 50 graduates only 15 get the govt. Jobs . (35 keep giving exams fooling themselves untill they become ineligible by age or by interest) Of the remaining(35+(65-50=15)=50) have no idea what to do and are ready to work for pennies. Now (35+15=50) out of 100 engineering graduates ,in great dispair don't know whom to blame? ✓Parents who sent them to give them a better opportunity as they saw their relative's children achieve great success just by doing engineering, ✓College where only passing the semesters was prioritised and not the importance of practical aspects ofengineering subjects, ✓Govt. Which claims of providing more colleges to give more opportunities to students ✓Or their very own self of not taking the right decisions at right times (which includes questioning parents , teachers, professors, govt. At the right time).
The problem is very deep rooted. 1st thing to blame, population of India 2nd the mentality of Indian parents that their child should have an engineering degree before doing anything else. 3rd the education system, it's outdated by ages now, I bet many schools still teach about how there are only 9 planets in the entire universe. 4th the skill level of teachers. 5th corruption as usual. 6th bad governance in general. 7th everyone has to be competitive! Why? ( unless you score 100%, I bet no one has, this thing doesn't really work, for example, imagine a 5 question test. Person A got 1-4 right scores 80%. Person B got 2-5 right scores 80%. So are they equally smart? Now you may argue that they know 80% of stuff and that's good enough, well no cause passing % is set to like 35% those guys who got 35% may have studied 45% of something else that wasn't in the paper set.) this is reason for 8th being a problem. 8th the companies hiring people based on the sheet of paper with percentage on it, which could be fake ( reason in 10th) 9th people not using common sense (i have seen some highly qualified people talk shit, even a toddler would know better.) 10th at last blame yourself for all those cheating you did in exam, on a sheet of paper you got 90% and that's it a sheet of paper, nothing actually went inside the brain.
@Candle Light here lies the problem when u ask govt. To give u jobs. The main of the govt should be to give right condition and environment for companies to grow and thus generate employment
@@lopa8519 well that's debatable but what i feel about that is, there shouldn't be a grey zone that large. If you are setting passing % that low then why is there a need to be competitive? It's either you have passed or failed. If the passing % is say something like 80% then it somewhat makes sense that just to clear everyone needs to know atleast 80% of the stuff. At 35% there is just a lot of grey zone. Yes you have to be competitive in other aspects of life but not in % based exam systems which to me seems flawed.
@A for apple vlogs from what i have heard there is a cut off in campus hiring based on your score (many people would agree to that), though it has gone down a bit in recent years it hasn't wiped out completely.

I completed my B.Tech. in mechanical engineering from a college affiliated to UPTU in 2015. As my college did not have provisions for campus recruitment, I struggled for the next two years trying to get a relevant job. During this job hunt, I was belittled, discouraged and even humiliated by prospective employers over my skill gap. By the end of it, I realised the struggle (and all these things that came along) would not stop even when I would get a job and I could not get much good out of it even if I survived it. I know there aren't as many jobs as there are engineers out there, but the bigger problem is the quality of skills and training a fresh engineering graduate possesses. It's high time to rewrite the regulations and stop colleges like mine from producing engineers like me. Without quality, quantity makes no sense as I am sitting here with a degree which is of no use to me beyond labelling me a graduate.

Why are you all blaming student for these... Student don't responsible for that... government responsible for that because our education system is about 1920's level... government can't change our education system every student have to courage to learn new things but most of the teacher faculty don't have a enough knowledge... company blaming student... company said many engineer are not employable... because most of the college don't provide that type of knowledge...
Specially in Karnataka, professors and lectures get job based on reference and caste system. They don't have knowledge and they teach nothing to students but they give full internal marks. I did B. Tech and M. Tech with distinction and qualified GATE and JRF. I applied job in SIT tumkur which is reputed college in Karnataka. In interview I answered everything perfectly but they gave job to a woman who brought a reference letter from a MLA. She was just a fresher and mine is 6yrs experience with GATE(Air 1812)and JRF qualified(top 6%). Our education and slection system is so worst.
Karnataka...!! There are 2 points with reference to Karnataka, 1)To uplift the rural students.. Karnataka has a grace marks system & those who were to be filtered at 10 class enter college and gradually become graduates and opt for teaching,LLB. 2) Otherwise state would face acute shortage of teac8 Thank God & grace marks system.
Who said? That is BS. Infosys takes freshers at 5LPA salary, trains them and allots them work. They just need to be able to write 15 lines of code, answer basic CS questions to get selected.

Agreed with quint for first time. I had a gap year during my engineering and learned required skill of coding. Not through any certifications but through UA-cam. I did not get placement through college, but I am highest paid in my class as of now. Indians lack in communication skills and walking an extra mile to get a skill.
Hey Yash! I'm in the same boat, doing ECE but more into computers. Had a stupid gap year due to my own negligence but have bounced back now and starting my coding journey. Could you tell me more about how you utilized UA-cam and share some insight?
Why would they? they can name any one religion somwhere in their promises and get votes. Who cares about machine learning when we can make money out of making statues and selling telecom spectrum.
Okay even if they mention will you vote them on the basis of this issue . No at the end of the day we all vote looking at the issues that give you nothing.
Hi, I'm the reporter for this story. Thanks for your comment! It's indeed shameful that the curriculum has failed to keep pace with job market and as a result is ruining the careers of youngsters.
Education should have been taken care of long time back. Quality and relevent education is what India should have imparted since independence. Now the population has increased drastically. Just because most of the Indian parents are less or not educated at all, most of them made their child follow the common careers like engineering, and on the other hand did not stop reproducing. For most of the parents of this country there's a fear as to what the society would think if they let their child follow their own interest." 4 log kya kahenge" this has spoiled more lives than anything else in India.
Speaking english better makes u look intelligent -it is a stereotypical notion of our modern society ,and i pity the people who judge others on this basis
I am a computer science student n I have spent 1 yr in Hyderabad n 3 months in Bengaluru and found that unemployment is a myth. The reason I said that coz if we master or even has good knowledge in one subject we would easily get a job. For example me and my friends had zero chances of getting jobs - our teachers said that. N now we are the only ones working n making good money. The difference is we always wanted to to focus on one thing and grow. "Get out of your comfort zone and you will fly".
These types of comments are always makes some ray of hope.. i belive if we get our communication skills good and little bit knowledge about the subject then one can get a decent job in some companies..And one thing must i say.. Suru me kisi ko 50 lakh nehi milta..agar 20k se suru ho rsha hai toh usme lage raho.. experience makes a huge change..♥️
Industry doesn't mean IT industry only. BUT remember that IT industry contributes more than half the GDP. Among non IT industries - which may be called as the true industry, there is severe downturn and lack of market for the last four or five years. This is made worse by lockdown. The demand forcecast that is based on IT services selling labour cheaply to foreign countries is wrong. Not only India, all other third world countries and many poorer european countries are fighting for the same jobs. So how do industrialists react? 1. By automating processes to remove even existing workers. 2. Nowadays they employ only ITI and diploma based technical course guys even at entry level. 3. Nobody gives a hoot for engineers who don't know anything and not willing to learn. AP
People are wasting their time and money joining B and C grade colleges. Most graduates end up in IT service related companies (irrespective of the field) as average coders or get underemployed . The service related IT industry survives only because of the cheap labour market. What govt must do is limit the engineering seats as per the industry requirement. Strictly close down underperforming universities.

Thank God! I made the right decision by quitting my B.Pharmacy degree in 2013 and did B.B.A (Tourism & Hospitality). Now I'm doing a job in an MNC company with a good salary at my home town. I'm proud of my choice, I'm proud of my degree and I'm proud of my job.
This is our doing. The lust to be an engineer or a doctor to have social standing among others. There is no point in blaming the system. We demanded, the system supplied.
For people who are asking companies to visit for placements let me clarify that this is not at all the case in developed countries. In a country like USA no company comes for placement. Instead students have to take initiative to apply and prepare for them. It's in India that students are handfed by companies to join them. Hence when we don't get placement companies we tend to get upset and blame the system.
We know this bro but college are and skilling Indian student like other developed countries. There huge number of 3rd grad college only making mony and wasting 4 yr of students. We have the ability to find job and apply but due to lack of skill and trending technology we face problem.
I am an engineering graduate from a private college in UP. We had zero placement and to be honest faculty was absolute third class but I had faith in myself and was ready to grind myself in the market. I was working for an automation company at a package of 15 lakhs. Right now doing my masters to upgrade myself. People need to know what they are good at. Bhed bakriyo ki tarah chaloge to gadhe mein hi jaaoge.
I guess both the system and the students are to blame. If you can't write 15 lines of code, how did you pass the examination. The government can change the curriculum. Even if the government created jobs, the fact remains that these people are unemployable.
yep, this is why I hate teachers in schools and colleges and do my own study with a tutor or the internet. Most teachers are just utter garbage in this country.
This is very serious issue. Since I am from IT background and currently working in a reputed MNC, I can understand the pain the students are facing due to lack of jobs. This is true that Indian syllabus is the worst among all. There is no inclusion of new technologies which can make them employable. And the world is changing so rapidly, it is really disappointing to see the colleges still continuing the old curriculum. There is lack of RnD from faculties and lack of enthusiasm for the students from faculties as well. Things have changed a great deal in last 10 years.

After graduation, I went to IBM where i did my internship and got selected, whereas many of my friends stayed unemployed till 2019, and some of them got jobs but were placed in mumbai with medium salary and nightshift. Some couldn't even clear their backlogs and stayed unemployed. The reason I got my job is because my father advised me to take an internship as fast as possible and since he was an employee IBM when I was in college he helped me work on my project. I asked my friends to take an internship as well but they refused since the company they applied didn't offer them salary. One of my friends barely manged to graduate at 2019 and he is still unemployed.
can we do internships in any company ? It shall not be a big company right Cuz I think the main reason to interns is to gain experience ,so that with this experience I can join bigger companies later with higher salary Dunno much about this I'm just a 12th student waiting for college

I was one of them but lucky me by Allah's grace i was able to get a job.I feel bad for all other people who are unemployed. Our education system is worst of all I remember.Engineering is all about filling goddamn papers and submitting assignments. Now that I have experience everything I have decided my children will not go for kind of education.I will simply tell my boy to do some business . As far as I know none of the inventors were engineers and all inventions were accidental.
the root cause of so much unemployability is too much population, too much admissions, too much colleges ,very cheap quality resources, less literate lecturers, and "too less skills in students".
Engineering ke hawve ne ketno ko barbaad kiya. I think it's partially our fault as well, government can't do anything if we don't have any skill set, any USP.
As an engineer myself I can understand the struggle....but listen people, no matter how much you scale up in terms of technology or niche skills ..if you don’t communicate effectively then be prepared to be unemployed. I’m not saying that you should speak like a Brit or an American but if you can translate your thoughts and ideas effectively across the table then nothing can stop you from getting what you want. I think this is the area where the majority of our graduates are lacking. And here’s the caveat: apart from effective communication, the emphasis should be on innovation, research and deep learning for which the government should do its part. Sadly all of us are only focused on grinding through 4 years and obtaining the degree.
Myself, a final year btech student, in a tier 1 engineering college. I had huge enthusiasm when i started this course. I have no backpapers or any other academic issues, but after 4 years, I lost my confidence and direction in life and now I'm in a state of total confusion, having absolutely no idea what to do in life. I can pretty much say that our system is outdated and this course is saturated.
To those students who opt for engineering, I want to ask, did you joined engineering branch just for the sake of being acknowledged as an engineer or you actually wanted to expand your knowledge in that branch.
Finally someone has dared to take this issue with some seriousness. I come from a Institutional Based City where there are Numerous institution's but their Curriculum and Placements are Despicable. The only reason the City has not faced that great Brunt of Unemployment is because of Majority of the Youth travel to Countries like U.A.E , S.A, U.S etc. The placements and Job opportunities in the College's over here are in dire state.

Let me tell you my story. I am from a private college in Rajasthan that noone knows of. I never wanted to study there but due to circumstances I went. The college was hell especially for computer science. Teachers were not at all technically strong. They didnt know basics of subjects also. We literally fought for getting trainings in latest technologies but student themselves were not interested. After I passed out i was jobless. I applied to all the off campus interviews. Luckily I got a job in Infosys. From there I never complained just kept learning. Today I earn a salary of 7 figures after upgrading to latest skills in industry. Indian education system sucks to the core. I am embarrassed to show my degree because the college is unknown and I make sure they see my skillset first.
You know it's kinda satisfactory for me to see this as almost 90% of the students growing up in India have been pressurized by peers, teachers, their own parents to pursue something involuntarily regardless of what the kid wants to do. And it's a personal story for myself. I had to drop out of school and college because the pressure broke me and I had a rebellious nature. I was made fun and made to feel insecure by my own relatives and I saw several of my peers steadily finish school, graduate etc. All the while I did nothing, became a guy who felt hopeless and drew back from reality, spent all my time in front of my computer, doing pointless things, denying contact from the outside world. But years went by, and here I am. Though most of my time was pointless, the internet helped me hone my vocabulary, and I found myself skilled in content writing. And as karma would have it, I'm currently well placed and have found myself a steady job which I've been doing for nearly 2 years and I'm still only 20. I enrolled in a distance learning university and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree from my own comfort at home. It's satisfying to see all those peers struggling even after going through the treacherous 4-year studying spree.

There because of his NIIT qualification, he got selected for internal auditor assistant post in the same AGs office. Now he is a senior auditor in charge of auditing five branches of the electricity board in his area. 2. Two fresh engineering graduates joined together in SBI clerical position. Both were systematic and organized and had good name from customers as helpful and friendly. Both claimed to be serious about preparing for CAIIB. BUT only one prepared and soon passed the PO exam in the same bank and went up to the officer cadre in 5 years. Other still waiting for opportunity but respected by customers. Is he happy?
Guys before being so biased kindly check the background of the person who got interviewed..one of them has studied with me. He used to live a lavish life having sports bike and lying here shamelessly....if a person doesn't have ability should try to achieve it with hardwork instead of this shameless boasting of his inabilities...
There is more to this story. No channel is covering that side. I had seen more than 20 people (my friends and cousins and their friends). All of their lives, same story. They completes the Degree, joins a corporate company, soon quits the job because they made the employees work 10 to 12 hours, and with low salary. So they resign and sit home to prepare for bank jobs and government jobs. Which will never come because of the even more high competition.
You guys start self-learning, dont depend on college to teach you some great and advanced stuff, UA-cam is a great source for self study, and many other websites available
This report only pertains to the IT Sector. They have not talked about unemployment and extremely low wages in the manufacturing and construction sector. The situation over there is far worse.
This is what happens when you do something out of your passion. Passion > paisa. The day indian youth understand this, our country will be unstoppable.
Crytocurrency, investments, stock markets, usage of Internet (AI) is the way to go U can earn millions if u are educated in these fields U Earn in your sleep but unfortunately our education systems will never teach us about this :(
Engineering talent is quite rare. Not everyone is cut out for engineering. Our society forces students to choose very few paths. On the other hand, students have a wide variety of talents. First step is to abolish the money quota. You can't just buy talent and competence. So you shouldn't be able to buy your way into a college. Only students who clear specific entrance examinations should be able to study engineering and the number of engineering institutes should be drastically reduced. Please live your life in a way that's not only profitable but also enjoyable for you. Understand that engineering may not be for you. You can shine in your field of passion. I srsly hope our society's obsession with engineering goes away b4 more young lives are ruined by it
My college is affiliated to mumbai university, one of my professor could not even start diesel engine in practical lab for experiment. There are so many such incidents. College is situated in jungle alike place. No placement at all. Professors are all dumb. Good teachers could not stay long bcoz poor salary nd facilities. Teachers teach in local language ie. Marathi. And most of them are younger to us just by 4-5 yrs. Some of them are from previous batch of our college. I tried off campus job hunt. They offered around 8-14 k per month in mumbai . Some ppl said, dont look at pay just collect exp, and keep on looking good opportunities. Nd these job profiles are kind of helper ..... Naa... i dont want these jobs. 1 lakh fees per year bharke 10 k salary ? Engineering is the worst decision of my life. Edit: Btw i m a mechanical engg, in my free time i learned few programming languages too..

I finished my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University affiliated The National Institute of Engineering in July 2006. Later, I completed my master's degree in oil and gas engineering from The University of Western Australia in December 2009. I am unemployed till date since completing my masters degree. My technical knowledge is outdated. I have no present-day technical skills. My English language written and verbal communication skills are sub-par. My IQ is below average. My bad pastlife karma is responsible for my prolonged unemployment. Employers in Australia and India aren't responsible for my unexplained unemployment. Quality of engineering education in both Australia and India are world class. 🙂
You are not from India. Indian has same quality. Only 10% Indians are working in education related department (or study in graduation) 🎓🎓🎓 Example - MBBS holder has doctors.
I saw an add which displayed two jobs. One for a swiggy guy the package was 16K or something per month. Other was for a card centre job for BE/BTech with salary of 8K Hats off, salute✌️

It's funny we blame our engineering colleges/professor for not getting a job rather than changing our Indian mentality. Just because one has an engineering degree does not necessarily mean he should only work if he gets an engineering job or a CEO position. Ask anyone who went abroad to Canada or other countries for further studies as to how they survived. The answer would be they did whatever job they got to survive and pay their bills. We try to follow western style and culture but cannot embrace the thought of working at McD's or at KFC. In western countries, teenagers would work part-time at fast food restaurants to earn and buy what they need. How many students in Indian pursuing engineering, BCom, BSc or any other course can afford or buy something they wish without asking money from the parents. The fear of what others would think about us if we did such D-GRADE jobs as the guy mentioned in the video is what makes us unskilled and jobless.
What the students in abroad do, is PART TIME Job ( McD or KFC which are Minimum wage Jobs) to manage expenses during College time, they go for Jobs for which they are studying, whether be it engineering or any field, they don't become peon after finishing their college from Top 40 college of their country, You are highly uninformed, and possibly blinded by pride for your country that you cant see in how poor condition is our colleges, quality of professors, and lack of Jobs.
Funny how you mention CEO Position, CEO is HIGHEST Ranking Executive position in a Company, Ohh yeah engineering students want that Job, how naive of you.
I am surely wasting my time though, it's not your fault, Indian education system has failed you too, you are still ignorant and have illusions and you can't see the reality, possibly you will never see it clearly, only if you drop you ignorance and arrogance you may, grow to have some compassion for these people who are struggling with their lives, and trying to survive, when the education system has failed them.
@@pawanpatre123 Yes, I think you are right. The education system failed me too despite having a Masters degree from India. When I did intern for a company after my bachelors. I do not want to say the name. I realised my manager and even the senior engineer had only an diploma degree. Now why on earth would a company hire me when they can hire some one with a Diploma degree for half the salary and with probably more experience.
@@pawanpatre123 Yes I am proud of where I belong from and my country. If you ever get a chance to immigrate to some other country try it and your perspective would change. Just because you have a degree and can speak english does not guarantee you to get an engineering job even in countries like Canada. Some countries wants you to get some local experience. I have seen people with an engineering degree who were previously working as managers in India migrating to different country and coming back to India after 1-2 year after not getting a job in their field there. If you look at countries like australia, people practising medicine would not look down at people working at grocery store or other places. All jobs are considered as equally important.
These are 2 views of mine, as an Unemployed Engineering Graduate #1) Its already happened, the "unemployment" pressure is here, instead of blaming we should think of solutions. 4:53 #2) While the world has the technology, we Indians have "PEOPLE". Our solutions should/ must take advantage of "PEOPLE". While we call India, an "Underdeveloped" nation, They (Developed nations) call it as " The worlds Largest Emerging Market". "We do not need Sympathy, We need solutions and Actions". Thumbs Up if you agree !!!
I don't know what to say 1. NPTEL courses are great idk y people don't participate in it 2. most of time buy ready-made projects. 3. don't participate in project competition 4. waste most vacation without doing good courses 5. they opt courses where crowd is more instead by doing some research they can get good institution n courses 6. don't do apprenticeship 7. produce fake certificates. 8. most of people do internship where they have connection do get certificate without doing anything 9. as engineer u should be up to date with tech 10. get admission where education is not up to the mark thats bcz of family or society pressure 11. in today's time even mechanical engineering students know about programming language like c/c++/python /android etc with the help of nptel or online courses 12. it's true competition is more but people with skills are getting jobs 13. obsession with govt job is also one of the reason .if not clear it will create 3-4 year of gap and market hire fresher's or with experience. and even if they get job the salary is less n they don't enjoy it all 14. most of crowd go for core branches which create huge competition instead they also look at other branches which known in private sector like mechantronics , renewable energy, industrial are one of them . 15. I have done btech too I know how people study and pass the exam 16. there are many reason like couldn't clear backlog etc 17. it's not about govt . even govt started SMART INDIA HACKATHON a national level competition. even I have participated in it 18. even u will see free channels regarding engineering, management, economics, maths, bio, chem etc in TV telecast by govt and these lecturers from IITs NPTEL ,ignou etc like good universities
shaik ikbhal Basha umm I think for that we have to change entire educational structure. which will take lot of time and plus u will get backlash from society like u need teachers who r willing to adjust n change with time. also we should spread awareness regarding different courses like agriculture , dairy ,renewable energy and try to build craze for such domain . providing free education children is good but providing free education upto certain class (10)from good school is necessary their are lot of thing which can be done my friend i agree their is issue of job but the bigger issue society mentality regarding choosing right career path don't follow crowd to make this massive change any govt needs guts bcz they will be critized harshly by most of people every govt takes short term measures thats the truth no permanent solution
Our engineering colleges focus on theory and cramming system... No practical knowledge, no critical thinking, no group discussion , never talk about new idea My Story :- I'm studying in COMPUTER ENGINEERING. I learning C language suddenly I have doubt that why 'getch' was use. So I asked my professor she replied that "sorry I don't remember now, I will tell u later" (Her reaction : 😅😅😅) Now our country expect us for good Engineer
The college during campus drives restrict the students with backlogs. For attending interviews even for companies like TCS,Wipro. Which are non technical for mech and civil branch. If a student has a backlog doesn't mean he is not capable of doing a job and his overall activities like skill of communication, and other talents must be considered.Mere selection based on invalid percentages scored nowadays must be ignored i mean everyone is 90% nowadays.please dont judge a student on his academic performance
Every Politician Build Their Own College Of Engineering , And They Don't Care Quality Of Education, They Build College For Money, In India Demand Less of Engineering But Supplies Are More
Conditions of teachers in Bengal ar even worse.I get 3K per month.During lockdown ,even the schools are not paying the salaries to the teachers on time.
In a capitalistic nation....govt doesn't create jobs...govt can only create the infrastructure for jobs...in usa...even the municipality is private...tata..ambani..adani..they have generated 1000s of jobs..not the govt...the engineers must strive for entrepreneurship...
I watched this a year ago . Being a fresher i quit job searching and created my own company with really zero money , i learned through youtube ,did small jobs , little projects ,then slowly moved to doing medium projects , so just move on college degree is fucking useless , no govt will help you , society will blame you we are on our own. The most valuable skill is selling and you can't succeed overnight. Just do it
please Indian government pleaseeeee change the Indian education system i think the youth of India should protest about it cause the Indian government is not giving a shit about the students
There are 3 engineering colleges near my residence. My city also have a NIT. Let's talk about these 3 engineering colleges and their students, I think I know better because my locality houses most of these students. 1> No communication skills. 2> when theres no exam you'll see them partying all night long drinking Old monk, smoking weed and what not. 3> before exam you'll see long lines of these students before Xerox shop where they'll be producing micro copies of some important topic. 4> Laptop is for entertainment purposes. You'll never see anything related to studies. 5> Ranting about not getting a job.
Parents force children to become something they don't want to do years later everyone is in the same profession and now there is severe competition for that profession where you spend countless hours , money and effort Parents when you cant find a job: Its because of the damn phone
Im too an automobile engineer. applied for a job, but industries have asked me for a experiences which i don't have. And how someone can have experience immediately after completing the college?... because in India, college's don't trust practical exams/knowledge they want what written/mentioned in books. But I'm proudly saying i have started my own business in automobile sector and earning more/equal to a experienced engineers..
After going through the comment section I realised how many students complain about having a bad faculty teaching them, I m also a bachelor in Computer Science engineering and a graduate from probably a tier 3 clg but still I feel our clg faculty was pretty capable and Knowledgeable in their subjects....Am I lucky????
Truth be told the person himself/herself is responsible for unemployment. If you have skills then no one can stop you from getting a good job. No government can give you jobs in silver plates if you are not skilled.
It's also because of the educational knowledge we got in universities is outdated than the actual technology used in the industries.. untill complitation we dont even know about outside world.. so the interaction towords actual industries through a practical session is also a that important..Not only students but our education system is also that much responsible fr that.
because they were behind the money you got from the job, not for having any interest in the field. These people even took seats from students who actually wanted to study about it. Idiots. I don't think they can improve cuz they have no interest and don't want to learn anything technical.
My school didn't give my best friend science stream in class 10th, It was a big deal to his father as he only wanted him to do science. He was good in web programming and PHP/Java was like so easy for him. He scored around 50% in 10th and around that in 12th too(He did 12th from a institute where attendance was not a problem). Slowly and steadily he made connections and through his skill, he is earning around 1.5 lakh p.m or more. His family played a big role as they gave him support when he needed it. Now he travels around the world because he made a bucket list and is completing it slowly. EVEN AFTER 12th, he isn't doing B.tech, he's doing bca from a avg college. I become jealous of him sometimes but who would not, we used to save 10 rs or more to buy momos or something but you know everyone has something to do. DEVELOP SKILLS< STOP BLAMING THE COLLEGES !. ONLY YOU YOURSELF CAN DO IT. The so called engineers in the video don't even have proper communication skills, even BPO's need proper english speaking skills before hiring. KEEP DEVELOPING YOURSELF!
Same problem will arise for the doctors as well after the NMC Bill. It allows private colleges to be setup without any inspections just like we see engineering colleges in every village. Govt is focusing on quantity rather than quality.
As long as people keep looking towards govt for jobs, they will be unemployed. The Chinese miracle was funded and driven by private sector. If there is no big private sector, It is same whether it is BJP or Congress.
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT,PLUS THE GOVERNMENT JOBS DON'T ADD ANY VALUE TO THE ECONOMY,BECAUSE THEY ARE SIMPLY ADMINISTRATIVE JOBS OR CLERICAL ONES WHICH CAN BE DONE THROUGH MACHINES.PRIVATE SECTOR JOBS CREATE VALUE.
Oh.....no, never dream of a business, India today is not safe for business, it's not a respectable job, you are not honored, respected,10-12 hours of work,no family life. Oh ..no.
Those are factors too, but let's be honest. The quality of the engineers and doctors that are produced in India is abysmal. Unless they study from the elite Universities the rest are basically worthless. Considering that we have such a young population and job opportunities at an all time low, things like this will be the norm for a few more years.
@@propstudio I'm sure it does. Nepotism is very prevalent in our society. But guess what, even if Rahul is where he is due to nepotism, he will still have to get democratically voted by the people of this country. People voted for his mother, his father, his grandmother, his great-grandfather etc. That's not nepotism, people chose them through democratic elections.
In India everything is based upon social status. People go for IAS, IIT, MBBS, CA, MBA because their parents chase status. No-one has genuine hobbies, interests, passions, skills, etc the creative and innovative mind is destroyed. People chase status like this because of India's history with caste system a racial discrimination system where western Eurasian derived upper castes made indigenous lower castes to do manual labour work, menial jobs, be slaves, etc while the upper castes did priestly jobs, teaching, administration, fighting, agriculture, trading, artisan, labour etc
maybe 95% engineers are unemployable but 100% of faculties are useless, but still they won't rise this issue. see, there are many issues when you entered a clg. some entered by pressure, majority choosing wrong course, only 10-20% have right choice. among the rest other 80%, not everyone can learn by their self, they need the external help. so, here comes the role of faculty, they need to focus on the students who aren't able to self study... but you know, what you can expect from 20k salaried faculties, among which majority are just recent passout without any background experience.
It's India's poor mentality on education. A boastful degree and a 9 to 5 job is what they can ever think of. The reason we have such a situation is because students and parents forget that engineers are the creators of a country and they need to know much more than rote learning through 4 years.
You should try for participating in GSOC

@@DGLeo482 There's nothing wrong about a 9 to 5 job. I do agree with the 'boastful degree' part though.

There isn't a concept of placement in the developed world.

Out of every 100 engineering graduates from private colleges only 15 get jobs in their core branches in their respective colleges(campus placement)
Of the remaining (100-15=85) , 20 graduates get job in private companies(with jobs like IT , marketing, bpo, kpo, customer support etc.) after wandering for about 1 year to 3 years. Also 80% of them do not get job in the field in which they graduated.
Of the remaining (85-20=65) , 50 prepare for govt. Jobs like banking,SSC, civil services, gate,MBA etc. In these 50 graduates only 15 get the govt. Jobs . (35 keep giving exams fooling themselves untill they become ineligible by age or by interest)
Of the remaining(35+(65-50=15)=50) have no idea what to do and are ready to work for pennies.
Now (35+15=50) out of 100 engineering graduates ,in great dispair don't know whom to blame?
✓Parents who sent them to give them a better opportunity as they saw their relative's children achieve great success just by doing engineering,
✓College where only passing the semesters was prioritised and not the importance of practical aspects ofengineering subjects,
✓Govt. Which claims of providing more colleges to give more opportunities to students
✓Or their very own self of not taking the right decisions at right times (which includes questioning parents , teachers, professors, govt. At the right time).
Real problem is people are not willing to do hard work.
You deserve praise man...
The problem is very deep rooted.
1st thing to blame, population of India
2nd the mentality of Indian parents that their child should have an engineering degree before doing anything else.
8th the companies hiring people based on the sheet of paper with percentage on it, which could be fake ( reason in 10th)
9th people not using common sense (i have seen some highly qualified people talk shit, even a toddler would know better.)
10th at last blame yourself for all those cheating you did in exam, on a sheet of paper you got 90% and that's it a sheet of paper, nothing actually went inside the brain.
@Candle Light here lies the problem when u ask govt. To give u jobs. The main of the govt should be to give right condition and environment for companies to grow and thus generate employment
I agree with everything except the part about competitive nature
@@Capt.Alron.D 11. 95% of the teachers in india are useless. They don't even know anything about the subjects they're teaching us, they just repeat everything written in books and ask us to cram things up . Most of them are failures in their field and landed in teaching field because they couldn't find any other job. You have to pass exam and interview to become a civil servant but just a useless degree to become teacher.
I have never met a person who has passion to become a teacher and worked hard for it . All good teachers are owned by private coaching institutes. Even after all of that if there is a good teacher who wants to help you give some real skills and knowledge the burden of stupid system and outdated syllabus which they have to complete in given time won't leave any chance for teacher and students.

Well Said. We need to focus on other indudstries too
Civil and Mechanical branches are going through tough time now.

Don't doubt Indian student hardwork who genuinely studying for better future
You don't have Good lecturers in the first place!!!
venky k ever heard about self learning
Exactly. There is a shit ton of information available online if you are interested
yep, this is why I hate teachers in schools and colleges and do my own study with a tutor or the internet.

As far as I know none of the inventors were engineers and all inventions were accidental.
the root cause of so much unemployability is too much population, too much admissions, too much colleges ,very cheap quality resources, less literate lecturers, and "too less skills in students".
To better sum it up"quantity over quality".

You are a legend. I got humiliated at Infosys back in 2008. Left it.
Could you tell me how you got started as a content writer?

Maybe you are just not fit to be an engineer
Be happy. BUT don't forget to tell your basic qualifications. Keep learning and passing CAIIB papers. Keep learning and applying for PO post.
Now two genuine case studies.
1. Intelligent but not genius NIIT graduate. Working as a programmer in a non IT company. Got opportunity and joined as a clerk in AG's office in his state.
The problem is overly simplified. Skill gap has always been one of the problems, when there was job and when there was no jobs.

See you soon!
so why do you get admitted to that college it would have better if you have gone to ITI.
Bhai me abhi entrance ka kar raha hu
You are not from India.
Indian has same quality.
Only 10% Indians are working in education related department (or study in graduation) 🎓🎓🎓
Example -
MBBS holder has doctors.
I saw an add which displayed two jobs. One for a swiggy guy the package was 16K or something per month.
Other was for a card centre job for BE/BTech with salary of 8K
Hats off, salute✌️
RIP BTech
I was aspiring to become an engineer but I think I should change my mind😔
You must change your mind ,either do engineering from good college(iit, nit or bits) or do any coursr that u want to pursue
I will suggest you to do skill oriented course like Merchant navy , pilot , hotel management , music development , home designer etc .
Bach gaya
Give NEET , there is a dearth of doctors in India

Some people say that the Indian engineers working in USA should work in India and develop India. Now you got your answer.
Dislikes are from irresponsible teachers , who fail if they are given test in thier own subject!!
True
I was graguate .. I'm working in swiggy .. finally happy ... That's the life
Graguate ho? Wah kya baat hai...
Better be skilled without degree than unskilled with degree
Yes but no company will hire a person without a degree
@@Hostile2430lol, I've seen people being hired In Google without a degree, if you fit for their job
@@Hostile2430 😂
Do both
I am one of these guys, still struggling to find a stable job since 2015.
Nurture your skills kiddo, or else you'll be in the loop of finding jobs.
Bhai.. Track change kar lo jo bhi tera passion hai usko follow karo.... Many off iitians dropped to follow their passion... Y u are not moving... Just move on...
Bro work hard on skills, whichever required in the industry , do not read theory but learn how to apply it practically
@@SkillslliK you are a burden on our society. Instead of boosting somebody's morale you have audacity to make fun.
@@KPlyf instead of taking constructive criticism, you're going to be sold like a pig to him.
Result diya aapne hume first division ka....
Aur aap hi kahte ho ki skill nahi hai😔😔😔
These are 2 views of mine, as an Unemployed Engineering Graduate
#1) Its already happened, the "unemployment" pressure is here, instead of blaming we should think of solutions. 4:53
#2) While the world has the technology, we Indians have "PEOPLE".
I don't know what to say
1. NPTEL courses are great idk y people don't participate in it
2. most of time buy ready-made projects.
3. don't participate in project competition
4. waste most vacation without doing good courses
5. they opt courses where crowd is more instead by doing some research they can get good institution n courses
6. don't do apprenticeship
7. produce fake certificates.
8. most of people do internship where they have connection do get certificate without doing anything
9. as engineer u should be up to date with tech
10. get admission where education is not up to the mark thats bcz of family or society pressure
11. in today's time even mechanical engineering students know about programming language like c/c++/python /android etc with the help of nptel or online courses
12. it's true competition is more but people with skills are getting jobs
13. obsession with govt job is also one of the reason .if not clear it will create 3-4 year of gap and market hire fresher's or with experience. and even if they get job the salary is less n they don't enjoy it all
14. most of crowd go for core branches which create huge competition instead they also look at other branches which known in private sector like mechantronics , renewable energy, industrial are one of them .
15. I have done btech too I know how people study and pass the exam
16. there are many reason like couldn't clear backlog etc
17. it's not about govt .
even govt started SMART INDIA HACKATHON a national level competition. even I have participated in it
18. even u will see free channels regarding engineering, management, economics, maths, bio, chem etc in TV telecast by govt and these lecturers from IITs NPTEL ,ignou etc like good universities
Good observation. But any solution for poor low income student from small town,
shaik ikbhal Basha umm I think for that we have to change entire educational structure. which will take lot of time and plus u will get backlash from society like u need teachers who r willing to adjust n change with time. also we should spread awareness regarding different courses like agriculture , dairy ,renewable energy and try to build craze for such domain .
providing free education children is good but providing free education upto certain class (10)from good school is necessary
their are lot of thing which can be done my friend
i agree their is issue of job
but the bigger issue society mentality regarding choosing right career path don't follow crowd
to make this massive change any govt needs guts bcz they will be critized harshly by most of people
every govt takes short term measures
thats the truth
no permanent solution
Bro can u help me to know how to learn NPTEL
Your observations are far better than this report. I myself an engineer, don't see why they talking as if IT is the only industry.
As an Indian i say...
Indian Education system sucks
Our engineering colleges focus on theory and cramming system...
No practical knowledge, no critical thinking, no group discussion , never talk about new idea
My Story :-
I'm studying in COMPUTER ENGINEERING. I learning C language suddenly I have doubt that why 'getch' was use. So I asked my professor she replied that "sorry I don't remember now, I will tell u later"
(Her reaction : 😅😅😅)
Now our country expect us for good Engineer
The college during campus drives restrict the students with backlogs. For attending interviews even for companies like TCS,Wipro. Which are non technical for mech and civil branch. If a student has a backlog doesn't mean he is not capable of doing a job and his overall activities like skill of communication, and other talents must be considered.Mere selection based on invalid percentages scored nowadays must be ignored i mean everyone is 90% nowadays.please dont judge a student on his academic performance
Idk who are those giving dislikes to such a critical issue in the country.
Pakistani
One of the main reason high no. children are medical Aspirant whether they like medicine or not
The fukin problem is our POPULATION
Every Politician Build Their Own College Of Engineering , And They Don't Care Quality Of Education, They Build College For Money, In India Demand Less of Engineering But Supplies Are More
Conditions of teachers in Bengal ar even worse.I get 3K per month.During lockdown ,even the schools are not paying the salaries to the teachers on time.
True.
3:45 that is the university from which I studied. Its name has been changed to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University.
In a capitalistic nation....govt doesn't create jobs...govt can only create the infrastructure for jobs...in usa...even the municipality is private...tata..ambani..adani..they have generated 1000s of jobs..not the govt...the engineers must strive for entrepreneurship...
DK Boss people won’t understand
I watched this a year ago . Being a fresher i quit job searching and created my own company with really zero money , i learned through youtube ,did small jobs , little projects ,then slowly moved to doing medium projects , so just move on college degree is fucking useless , no govt will help you , society will blame you we are on our own. The most valuable skill is selling and you can't succeed overnight. Just do it
please Indian government pleaseeeee change the Indian education system
i think the youth of India should protest about it cause the Indian government is not giving a shit about the students
Don't blame the colleges. I've seen how Engineering institutes are, at least in West Bengal. Students bring this upon themselves.
Damn this is pretty accurate
Yes yes. It's true
No offence, but sabh mera personal observations hai. Baki India k colleges k condition meko malum nahi.
Parents force children to become something they don't want to do
years later everyone is in the same profession and now there is severe competition for that profession where you spend countless hours , money and effort
Parents when you cant find a job: Its because of the damn phone
Yeah at the end they blame our smartphone 😂😂
Chal hatt
Im too an automobile engineer. applied for a job, but industries have asked me for a experiences which i don't have. And how someone can have experience immediately after completing the college?... because in India, college's don't trust practical exams/knowledge they want what written/mentioned in books. But I'm proudly saying i have started my own business in automobile sector and earning more/equal to a experienced engineers..
That's the spirit, best of luck for the future 😊
After going through the comment section I realised how many students complain about having a bad faculty teaching them, I m also a bachelor in Computer Science engineering and a graduate from probably a tier 3 clg but still I feel our clg faculty was pretty capable and Knowledgeable in their subjects....Am I lucky????
Oh god... I can feel the pain of that suicidal guy...
Truth be told the person himself/herself is responsible for unemployment. If you have skills then no one can stop you from getting a good job. No government can give you jobs in silver plates if you are not skilled.
Very few of the engineers really had interest in technical knowledge. Most of them even didn't knew why they are pursuing it🤯
It's also because of the educational knowledge we got in universities is outdated than the actual technology used in the industries.. untill complitation we dont even know about outside world.. so the interaction towords actual industries through a practical session is also a that important..Not only students but our education system is also that much responsible fr that.
+1
because they were behind the money you got from the job, not for having any interest in the field.
Lmao that's why Modi is supporting privatisation but people r against it
Forget engineering and its expensive fees. Complete cheaper specific ITI diploma and start your own small business.
Oh.....no, never dream of a business, India today is not safe for business, it's not a respectable job, you are not honored, respected,10-12 hours of work,no family life. Oh ..no.
Main problem is nepotism and references...in private sector jobs.....
Right
Those are factors too, but let's be honest. The quality of the engineers and doctors that are produced in India is abysmal. Unless they study from the elite Universities the rest are basically worthless. Considering that we have such a young population and job opportunities at an all time low, things like this will be the norm for a few more years.
Nepotism reminds me of Rahul Gandhi
@@propstudio I'm sure it does. Nepotism is very prevalent in our society. But guess what, even if Rahul is where he is due to nepotism, he will still have to get democratically voted by the people of this country. People voted for his mother, his father, his grandmother, his great-grandfather etc. That's not nepotism, people chose them through democratic elections.
Absolutely
