That is a nice room. New College is known to have great rooms. I was at Corpus Christi, narrowly missing out on a big room, as Corpus is really small with limited accommodation.
Did you ever do an actual college tour? I'm hoping to apply to Oxford for medicine this September and am trying to decide on the college! Atm I'm deciding between: New, Brasenose, Wadham, St John's and Magdalen. Any opinions would be appreciated :)
Unfortunately not, because New College was having a face lift throughout the last academic year. I'm planning on getting one out next year when the refurbishment is complete, but in the mean time here's a video tour that shows about half of the college that may be useful: The Architecture of New College, Oxford: Julian Munby The colleges you've listed differ quite substantially in their reputations. I found The Student Room's thread on this quite useful at the time of applying: www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/Oxford_College_Pros_and_Cons Of course there are also a range of other videos you can use to help you with this topic, including Abi's vlog: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=Choosing+an+Oxford+college Most people end up loving their choice of college, but definitely give it some consideration, and visit if possible! - Daniel
