I've watched the trailer a few more times and I've got to say I am looking forward to seeing more. Let me know what you think?
guy on the boat was a badger, and the thing that looks like a flower in the hud was a palm tree, there was also some reeds in the hud with the shot with the giant creature and the glowy eyed squid thingies, probably to do with the biome you are in.
Well spotted my friend! Thank you for letting me know! So cool that the player can potentially be a badger 😆
The dude in the boat is a badger. His head is down. His head strip kinda makes it look like an open shirt with no head at a glance
Haha well spotted! I noticed it later on after I posted the video! Haha
Hello Games has been honing the super formula for their procedural gen in NMS for 10 years, they are taking that and condensing it into one massively scaled planet.
Note- it takes about 45 hours of play time to jet pack completely around a small planet in NMS.
The scale of this world will be bigger than anything we've ever seen.
I mean, C'MON THAT RED FOREST LOOKS BEAUTIFUL 😭😭😭
Those circles on the top left would be time of day my guess, during the character holding the torch you can see two and half circles indicating its dark
The face of the Titan looks exactly like the image on a No Man's Sky knowledge stone.
It's gotta be connected in some way right?
Given that just a small handful of players could turn a No Man Sky planet into Coruscant, it'll be interesting to see just how big this planet is and how they handle having everyone on it. It'll need to be bigger than any No Man Sky planet for sure. Wouldn't doubt this game is an origin story for the building of Atlas.
Interesting thoughts, and ooo yeah that'll be cool, it's all connected haha
Whilst remains to be seen they have said "A true Earth sized planet" soooo anywhere near that scale would be insane.
looks fascinating enough, can't wait!
Same!
This looks like a really interesting game, cant wait to see more!
Me too!
Procedural, yeah... But outdated? Unlikely. Specially if you bring up something like Starfield. No Man's Sky's persistent generation (through somewhat repetitive procedural algorithms) was galaxy scaled. That was almost ten years ago.
Yeah I'm going to revisit nms, would you say we are in good hands with hello games?
@@QuestQuenchers I'd say we are! Doesn't make hype a good idea, nor preorders! All that considered... I'm convinced it is going to be a revolutionary title.
They obviously used the same engine as nomansky even the title looks the same but then why not all the others do the same.
I've started playing nms and I definitely can see that they have used the same engine. Still looks good thou.
I mean this nicely, but were you there for the original NMS reveal?...it still hurts my soul. Looking at this just brings it all back ! And the engagement and recognition that's it got, has depressed me. Nice vid though, (im full of Christmas cheer today)
Oh yes I remember it haha 😅 that's why I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt and not getting too hyped up in myself haha 🤣
very wise sir, I just went through the MH Wilds trailer if you're interested @@QuestQuenchers
I played NMS at launch. I was not disappointed. Most of the "Sean Murray lied" stuff was just rage bait. He was just a nerd excited about his project. He said in an interview that not everything will be in game at launch, but people ignored that. It was released as a foundation to build apon, but Sony wouldn't let HG advertise it that way. I'm completely impressed by what NMS has become.
Keep in mind, when they started Light no Fire, NMS had been mostly fixed. They started building a new game incorporating all the lessons they have learned... Hopefully...
@@TaderSamich I do hope they make it the best game they can.
So this isn't just no many sky with skins ?
Nope 😂
Knowing trailers and even Hello Games, this wont look like this upon release.
Most likely, but excluding BG3, every game doesn't look like their trailers nowadays 🤣 still looks like it'll be fun with friends.
@@QuestQuenchers I'm going to get a lot of internet hate saying this: BG3 wasn't that great either. We were sold Baldur's Gate and we got DOS3 with some forgotten realm bits. Felt like I was playing a woke DOS game. The core gameplay mechanics and all that were good, but the story and writing was just another ESG Netflix story
It will be bad to start with then get better after lots of updates and patches exactly like no mans sky
Like every game so far this year haha 😂
