I was lucky to have some interaction with a recently retired person from Chennai customs. And now I am coming of the opinion that this post is not what is projected outside. Since it is a sensitive post, it has more and strict boundary conditions than freedom. Although I am selected as a PO as well, I am seriously thinking of joining or not.

Sir main cgl 20 se as a preventive officer laga hu Kolkata customs me jiski joining letter 23 dec 2022 ko e-mail k through aayi hai aur usme 1 month k within (22 Jan 2023) tak join krne ko kaha gya hai. Sir to agar main Dec 2022 to join na kru aur Jan 2023 me join kru to kya main promotion me peeche ho jaunga apne batchmates se, aur Sir salary increment me bhi kuch difference aayga kya. Regards.

@@vivekrahiyadav par voh to sir emergency situation main chutti nahi milti na, I am asking about day to day cycle when posted in field means two days working for 12 hr and 1 day holiday in between this cycle goes on na ,i heard this from one of the Preventive officer staying near me when I met him he told me that we work monday Tuesday in 12 hr shift and we get Wednesday off again Thursday , Friday working and sat off this rotation goes on is it true when posted in field duty???
